I don't see why all the Xbox fans are getting butthurt. This is already out on all platforms as DLC. The only difference is that PS & PC get it as its own thing as well.

Sherwayne Morrison Titanfall is beautiful. It has all of the components an FPS should have and more. But enlighten me on how it's so trashy.
Well for one, it looks like call of duty in the future with robots. 6 on 6 players max. No single player(not that I care but some people are into that stuff). AI in online multiplayer etc....
Sherwayne Morrison Just because it "looks" like Call of Duty, doesn't mean that it is. Btw, the game doesn't come out in over a month. It gives the developers some time to make the necessary changes (if there are any). But even in the demo, you could see how fluently AI are and the Titans are meant to drastically change the way you play and also change your strategy. It's true that it doesn't have single-player, but it does have different characters, plot, and story, which, in some ways, makes it single-player. Six on six is still mutiplayer. If you want to play with more, play Battlefield.
And that's why I prefer battlefield. You get more of everything.

My123patrick It looks like a better story then what had with this game. Don't get me wrong its a good game but playing a different race would have help Assassin's creed like GTA did with CJ there number one game to date.
This add-on was showing everyone that there add-on's are better then the real game its self.

I have a theory of why UniSoft didnt make this into a full game. they want see if it was ok to talk about slaver,and you can't have a African American Assassin without the conflict of slavery to make the story compelling. if the DLC turns out bad they will never talk about it again. If good they will make it for the next game mostly civil war but that isnt until the mid 1800s so until then lets just stay with Shay and Arno for now

It's a shame cuz this really has the makings of a decent historical slave story based game! Shame they had to cram it all into a DLC!!

agree ,the IV arc wasn't mainly a part of Kenway saga ,they could have instead switch the role and make Edwards story for the dlc to those who are curious about the Kenways

I agree. Plus, for me, the story in 4 was so lacking. A guy who had wasted his life, running from responsibility taking down an assassin who clearly had had years of training, and then taking on his identity. Yeah, sorry, I just don't see it happening. Would have been the shortest game in the franchise if the assassin had won, I get that. Still...

Seems like a weird ploy and exploitative direction, trying desperately to be edgy and relevant, so a bunch of white guys make a franchise game about black slavery, okay cool but what about all the other slaves over the centuries ? the romans enslaved just about every colour, race and creed in existence...see what I did there ? for them slavery was about power, domination and nationality nothing more.
I'd also like to get on my high horse and note slavery hasn't ended, nowadays it's mostly white, mostly female, mostly under age children who are enslaved and exploited...for sex.
But somehow that ugly subject probably wouldn't make a very entertaining game now would it...
FINALLY! A game that actually has black people!!! Seems badass, especially because the gaming industry is almost all white or Asian. Thanks Ubisoft for bringing us another unique game

i stopped playing AC games since the second one, they are just producing one after another with the same game. If they actually took the time to create some new ideas and introduce a breath taking story like lets say....the last of us. then yeah mabye i would actually think of buying or renting this game

When it says Standalone, it was refer that fans loved the DLC and specifically asked for a game version, this is just Ubisoft thinking "hey this DLC is worth a bit, LET STRETCH IT INTO A GAME"
Assassin's Creed is the perfect example of a less than half decent series being milked dry.

Whats so funny about being disappointed that you cant play DLC ( or stand alone , update or whatever this is lol ) from a game you own unless you buy a new system? Thats a legit complaint. There are far more ignorant statements being made about console wars than this.

You know it's a shame that this fantasy was never a reality, if all slaves throughout history had rose up on mass and took their freedom by simply deciding to die on their feet instead of living on their knees, if they had took what was theirs instead of just waiting to be given their freedom maybe the world would be a very different place, a better place.

Actually some have and were successful like for example slaves in now Jamaica were getting shipped from there on that island and slaves there rebelled kill every oppressor there and made an republic! Also in the Civil war many blacks join the Union and fought for there freedom against the Evil Confederate army to free there people and they are Freedom Fighters!

I like that they're making this into an add on. More developers should make add on versions of their DLCs, like R* did with Undead Nightmare and EFLC. Gonna have to grab the standalone eventually.
