Glad to see you gain some sponsors. I appreciate the fact that you do this solo and don’t join with the TBN, though I like those guys too. Keep it up bud!
Love the channel. I have learned a ton and used all that knowledge to do my own Jon boat. It came out very well imo. Next time you should hydro turf the hatches, at least some of them. Maybe that will help it not look so busy to you. You jus have to trim out the latch area. I was able to do mine that way and even leave the hydro turf on the little handles. I had to do mine that way bc the hatches were on the seats, so I wanted them to be covered. But the end result was it blended right in. Just thought id share my experience from my build. Keep up the great builds!!
I'm a black guy from Newburgh NY (the hood of all hoods lol) who recently bought a house in the country further upstate. I just recently bought a Jon Boat and am currently trying to do some mods on it. Your channel has been a huge help! Big fan!!
I took a chance on an off brand lithium a while back… zero complaints. Ran a 100ah on my old boat and then bought 2 more from the same company to run my new 24v on my new boat. These off brands can be worth the savings.
Nice looking boat and good choice on colors. Hatches are nice but like ya said it looks busy and cheaper. Custom would definitely look off the charts but cost a lot in time labor.
I enjoyed the heck out of this build. That is one damn nice looking boat. I love tinkering with boats. I have my dad’s mid 70s Lowe and plan to do a similar build.
The boat looks great. I think you made a mistake on your trolling motor mount. you should have put the open end on the front then it would have sloped the same as your deck it was curved at the front but you could have straightened that to match the bow. Just an old man thoughts.
Another nice looking boat ! Great job and the sponsors are dope I’m gone have to check them out! Both things are a must on a boat of any kind. You might need to get more money for all your work.
Looks good. I plan on tricking out my 1436, butvI have been planning on that for a couple years. So I guess I will keep watching cause doing what I plan probably won't happen.
Love the video's and tips on your boats you work great on them there sick not that i will have one soon as they don't do them here have the jon American 12 and there only about 4 here but it does the job ,thanks again😊🙏❤️
Man I'd love to get up with you sometime & wrap one for ya. I've wrapped aluminum boats but they just go out into the world & I don't know how they hold up lol. It's also good to see you're still just plugging away on these. I haven't been on Instagram in awhile lol.
Looks like a factory built boat ! I know you have done full transom replacements in past. What silicone do you use ? I know some have acid curing additives so I am trying to avoid leaving it on my boat if it’s gonna do any corrosion. I used DAP ultra clear.
Question - when you were attaching things to use any glue with those self tapping screws? For example , I am wanting to run some screws to attach a small piece of board to one of my aluminum boats’ benches. I know you’re a fan of self tapping screws. Do you use any glue on the threads when you run it in there? Thanks for the great content!
Nice job!!! I've been watching you for quite a while. I'm in the process of building up a '98 15' Alumacraft. I was wondering if you could give more information about the 3m Controltac Graphic Marking System material that you used on the motor. You didn't leave a link for it. I went to 3m's web site but couldn't find anything in camouflage patterns. Also is it adhesive or a wrap?
Hang on!! At 13:01 you ran them wires BEHIND the boat’s metal support rib- don’t you think that will rub the insulation off the wires over time and cause a short?
I finally found a boat and pulled the trigger. 14 foot 11 inch lund with galvanized trailer with 25 hp Johnson. Needs carpet but overall in good shape. Payed 2900
hey there I saw your video where you used Gluvit on a little jon boat. Looked real good, I'm looking to coat an older pontoon log. It doesn't have any leaks that I know of, but I am taking it out to the saltwater for a while and it will need bottom paint or coating of some type for that. I was thinking I'd use that Flex Seal stuff. I used it on my farm to fix a few things and it seemed good. But I've not used in on a boat, any thoughts for me?
hey man i’m getting ready to wire up my 1436 alumacraft how do you know what gauge wire to use for all the accessories?? big question i’ve been having like does 16 gauge work for everything?
Are you located somewhere near Memphis? I am pretty close and was wondering if you would do a budget build on my 14/32 jon boat (somewhere around 2 grand)
Just North of Memphis, unfortunately my regular job keeps me too busy to do any boats for other people. Why sometimes I go a long time between boat builds.
@@backwaterboatrehab I see what you mean. I am the same way with work which is why I am trying to get someone else 😂 I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I really like your videos and various builds as well!

I think this is one of your best looking projects so far

That switch panel kit looks like a great setup!

That rear seat setup is sweeeeeet. Need one for my boat!
Building my first Jon boat for bass fishing here in Somerville Tn. I’ve got tons of ideas from your channel thanks a lot
You make great boats
Great looking boat! Would love to see you do a fiberglass bass boat restoration. Keep up the great work
Amazing build, so glad to see the channel grow with sponsorship! Love the content don’t stop!

Cool video. You really brought that boat back around.
Shout out from East Tennessee! I have the same boat and will be using a few of these ideas! Great job!

Once again you nailed it !!! I really enjoy watching your builds ..
It certainly looks good 👍
Your craftsmanship keeps getting better!

I bought one of the cyclenbatt batteries earlier this year and have had no complaints.
Nice work, cool to see you getting some sponsors and nice products. Good looking boat!
Love your content, Thank you sir!!
Nicely Done !! Always enjoy your Videos !!
As always, you have it looking awesome
Nice build, great switch and battery. I might pickup that switch panel to redo my switch in my boat as I go from tiller to console.
Thanks for including the links to the product you use.

Could you make a short or a video showing how to make a John boat stop porpoising? I can’t find one anywhere. Thanks.
Very Nice! I really like the lighting!
Nice job

Looks great brother
Appreciate it dude!
Awesome video, I was wondering what you would sell this boat for?

I wouldn’t think so. I covered the wires with a wire loom

You ever thought about doing custom work on people's boats they already own? I think you'd do well doing this.
Wish I had the time. My regular job keeps me too busy to take on work though

I’ve heard many people say to not use it, but I don’t have a personal opinion on it myself.
The link supplied for switch panel is not available for the product. Excellent show
Hmm, I’ll check in on that
Working for me 🤔
Did you ever find a new supplier for sheet metal? I’m local to you and having a hard time finding 4x8 sheets
Get a fish tape to run them wires.it’ll make you’re life much easier!
I did use one 😅

Tires!👍
Whats a build like this run? Like what are u asking for the boat on marketplace
Hard to give an exact number because I used several things that I had laying around. Probably around $5,500ish if I had to guess though
Your boats are always desirable
Im interested in one of the lithium batteries. Curious how do you charge them. I've heard you cannot use a regular battery charger? Any insight
I suggest NOCO chargers like the one I used on this boat. They will properly charge LiFePO4 batteries and also lead/agm

What type of paint are you using?
That panel looks cool i just got mine from nilight it's nice but i don't think it's that nice
what size outboard is that a 10hp?
Don't like the hatch lids or the trolling motor plate needs to set up higher on back end
Nice
👍💯
How much boat ?
Morning! Great video. Is there an email address where I can contact you?
Thesloughlife@gmail.com
Got a question for you about decking sense you have some experience in it, you have a IG or a way to contact you via Dm..?
Great looking boat! Would love to see you do a fiberglass bass boat restoration. Keep up the great work
