The boat looks awesome. I kind of like the black on the boat. But I agree the two color looks good also. Rebel cracks me up, I had a Lab they are just plain noisy between panting, drinking and eating. One of the best dogs around. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing it with us.
Hay i think the camo is really cool with the black and without. Good job on the build . Im still looking for a jon boat . Im trying to find one on a budget as usual for me . Found a older semi14foot V hull with two trolling motors and has factory storage and lights and bunch of extras and decent trailer but no motor he wants little to much ithink around 1600. And a 15 plain jon boat and trailer and a 15older envirude not running. Asking 1500
I may have missed it I’ve watched this video like three times and love the paint job I’ve got a build of my own in the works how many can of spray did you use ?
Looks sick! Have you ever considered getting a little sand blaster and prepping them that way? Is there a reason this wouldn’t be a good idea if you where to use a fine media
I have. They're just really messy. I think crushed walnut would be good on aluminum boats. Sanding really isn't that bad, it's just it seems like I'm always doing it in the hottest part of the year.
@@backwaterboatrehab I actually have a 16 ft boat at my house with a motor on it and all I can't seem to get the motor running right but if you're ever in South Carolina
@@chrisgallo6722 hay I'm in SC also.im looking for a job boat or similar?if your interested in selling or know of any for sale . What's seems to be issue with your outboard motor?
i have some leaky rivets in the hull on a decked jon boat.. do you think some closed end pop rivets would hold/work, or should i pull up the decks, foam, and flooring and use solid rivets?
What are your thoughts about the cyclenbatt 100ah battery ? My SLA deep cell stopped taking a charge this week and I am going to be looking for a replacement.
Really can't say yet. I will say the people who reached out to me are very cool, and as you'll see in the next video, that battery is a 100ah 'mini' which is really cool.
I tried peeling the green off but it left some pretty serious glue and took some of the silver with it too. Just seemed like way too much work vs recutting them.
Nah, it’s aluminum with a silver sticker laid across with a green sticker laid across it. Tried peeling the stickers off and it was just turning into a nightmare
I love this man’s channel so much I’ve always wanted to build my own jon boat but I don’t have the room or money to do it
You've come a long way on these builds in the last few years.
I’m from northeast Arkansas, I look forward to all your videos. That camo job turned out sweet, nice build
Looks damn good bud. . I’m about ready to bring mine to you and let you work your magic lol.
Inherited a 1436 Lowe from my grandad. Nice little boat, 99 model. Putting a 4-stroke Yamaha 9.9 on it
I’m a fan of the metal decking instead of cheap wood that most people use, the metal cuts and framing is solid and clean! Fan of the builds!

Get you a "surface conditioning tool" from harbor freight. They sell wire drums for them too. Helps a lot cleaning rust off cars, etc.
Looks great , awesome job .Looking forward to seeing it complete .
I agree i think the 2 color camo looked slick but its good either way .. nice work bro
I just found this channel and I can’t get enough makes me want to buy an old John boat by the way the bow fishing boat was bad ass
Your videos are informative Dude, but the dog made me laugh out loud!
That boat was not used much or whoever had it too really good care of it. Turned out super nice.
Favorite Channel to watch. Also got two sweet boat builds.
Always look forward to your videos. The boat looks good so far. I agree on the camo without the black, I think it looked better.
Im glad I found your channel man and I actually live right down the road in munford I didn't realize it till now . Good stuff brother thanks 👍
I’ve been watching alot of Jon boat videos( scored a free 14/36). Your build’s are my absolute favorite! Keep up the good work brother!
Oh yesssssss!!!!!! Another build
The dog drinking 😅😅😅

Awesome videos man
Great video!
Great job, thanks for taking us along .
I just thought of why the previous owner had the fly clamp you are in Tennessee, trout fishing match the hatch. Yup he was tying flies on the water.
That's a cool dog
Looks really awesome great job I’m in process of doing my first boat you gave me a lot of ideas
I have that exact same boat. That front deck was so confusing to Mach up. Might make a little video for my little channel😂
Enjoy the videos! Thanks for taking the time
Glad to see you posting all the time again
Looks sweet

Of all the boats you've worked on, which paint have you come to prefer? Would you go with Aluma Hawk again, or something different?
I got the hook up on Aluminum. I’m in the foothills of NC, holler if you ever need any.
What is your background in? Do you take on customers or just flip for fun? Would love to see a video on the other side of all the builds.

@@backwaterboatrehab makes sense! I appreciate the response.
You could lay that battery on its side. Since it’s a lithium battery it doesn’t need to stand straight up. I had to do that with a power queen.
Yeah, what I ended up doing. I’ve ran across a few lithiums that suggest not laying them on their sides, but this company said it is ok to do so.
I have a 1436 fiberglass jon boat I wanna see you do one and see what your ideas would be
I'm actually hoping to get a fiberglass boat as my next build. Burnt out on the aluminum Jons at the moment

What size rivets and aluminum angle do you use on the decks?
Ouch! I used to drink Ultra 😋
Haha, hey, I wont turn one down
I didn't see the link for the hatches I need them in white!!
Crap, you’re right. Just added them
Can’t you take a wire wheel to those street signs? Might save you from having to recut more aluminum.

👍💯
