As a Filipina, I definitely agree with Tim when he said that the best way to win a Filipina woman's heart is to go meet her in her place. It shows how genuine your intentions are towards her. You have come so far over the past 5 years, Tim. When you first started your TH-cam from the Philippines I thought you were a bitter jackass but you totally turned yourself around and became a really thoughtful, confident and interesting person as you have opened yourself up so much. I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos from my home in Thailand. As a long time american expat in Thailand ( I arrived in Apri 1966 with the military during Vietnam ) I was fortunate as those were the best times to find a good Thai woman. My wife and I have been married for nearly 40 years. I am now 77 and she is 70. As we grow older we take care of each other. She has Parkinson's for 20 years and I have heart problems but have recovered well. We take care od each other and our daughters take care of us. Like you, I am truly blessed. Watch your health Tim, I didn't and just kept getting heavier and my type 2 diabetes worse. In 1918 I had a major heart attack and was left with 30% heart function. Overnight I turned myself around.Went from 228 to 178 with my daughter taking over all my meals. Got my glucose and A1C down to normal levels and my BP down to an average of 115/65. Like you, I am blessed. We both have great families that taught us to calm down, develop patience and learn how to enjoy a quality life. Wishing you good health and continued happiness. FYI, much of you advice on this vlog applies to Thailand as well.
Dude, you are a legend....Aussie here, I first came to Thailand in January 84 compliments of the Military who sent me to Malaysia and then the lads took me over the border. I fell in love with Thailand but it wasn't until well after I left the Air Force and was doing a stint in the middle east that I again returned to the country I had always felt the most comfortable in.......that was 98 and I married in 2002 and we have two awesome kids, one in 3rd year of uni and the younger set to finish high school. I am blessed. Thx for your service and thx for sharing your story :)

We just had our 6 year anniversary, and it's fantastic. I am 12 years older. She's 60, and I am 72. I have been here 10 years in December. My wife looks like she's in her Kate 40's or early 50's. I look like I am in my early 60's. My mother always looked younger than she was. We are so happily married.

I agree with most of these points, Tim... But, to be completely honest, ESPECIALLY if I am in an LDR with a Filipina, there is NOT money giving from my end, especially if its the very beginning of the conversation and money comes into said conversation very quickly. That for most men should absolutely be a giant red flag, because chances are she's much more interested in what she can get from you rather than you, yourself... I met a Filipina in person and she doesn't ask me for anything, in fact telling me not to give her money when I just simply pay for her taxi/transportation. Selfless women is 100% much more valuable to me, because as a man, it shows she cares more about me than the $$$.
I'm talking like $10-20 bucks a month. A lot of girls cant afford cell data.

The honest answer to your question is NO they do not. I have dated several Filipinas who were "good" province girls, had regular jobs, no kids etc. I have never encountered more lies from anyone else, they focus on their family and you are just a meal ticket to ensure that their family is taken care of, they are immature, really really really bad in bed (I can not say this enough) and there is just to much of a cultural difference to make it worth it. I will focus on latinas as they are generally much better partners

Men who travel to other countries to get laid and pretend that they are there for "serious relationship" are akin to sociopaths because they have no conscience over what they are doing to others. Sex should come after marriage as tradition dictated in many conservative cultures. It should not be casual like in "dating" and taking the virginity of "immature and really, really really bad in bed" Filipino women who are inexperienced. Western men who are into sexual gratification and lie to themselves about their true intentions should stick in their own culture. They should date their own women, enjoy their bed and should pay for it in many ways. Traveling to other countries and pretending its about the country when its about the women ought to be ashamed of themselves. But then again shame is not of any value to Post Modern Western cultures anymore.

Even for someone who is still a few years from retirement, or if you don’t want to relocate to the Philippines, you owe it to yourself to make a trip over to the Philippines before you begin to make your search.
Tim is right about your mindset. Mine couldn’t have been lower before I made my first trip over. But after 15 days in the Philippines, my whole outlook on life was greatly improved 👍 so when I started my search, I didn’t see myself as someone who would never find a woman…

well said, an evenly distributed potential dating field where both know that the partner can find a new partner guarantees a more harmonious relationship with less jealousy and dependency. It really doesn't matter if it's due to great looks, money, or both, just something that evens out the attractiveness level of the opposite sex.

Guess I did everything wrong even though I tried everything, making it top priority and not a priority at all and everything in between, acting very interested and not interested at all and everything in between, online and offline, spent a few months each in 5 different locations, cebu city, carcar, davao, dumaguete, bagiuo. Im average looks well groomed physically fit nonsmoker light drinker I was as invisible there as in the USA. A foreigner friend there was puzzled by my stories took me to a mall and after a couple hours saw what I was talking about. Some guys got it and some don't I guess. Is this just a rant? Probably. But i would like to offer a heads up to others to not just assume success because if it doent materialize it will be devastating

My Norwegian ex wife totally destroyed my self esteem. After 1 week in Bali, I realised that I am a Rock Star.

But I went through several marriages before I found a good one.
Thailand is NOT recommended for finding wife material, but the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam are excellent places to both date and find a wife.
Personally, as I am a Christian, I have never been into the dating scene with one night stands etc. If a woman had more than one man in her life before you, be very suspicious.
Personally I prefer to recommend a virgin, but I was not really successful in that department, so you can really not trust anybody.
Take your time and do not sell yourself to hookers and easy to get women who have a high body count.
Find the true honest pure heart Filipina or wherever in this world you are looking. My current wife, the mother of my boy who is soon 7 years, was a single mother, but she has a heart of gold.

As you mentioned, there are exceptions, but generally speaking, you'll have better luck in the province, and that's the case even here in the states. You're more likely to get a genuine gal out in the country
I lived in Philippines 2007-08. Bohol, Cebu, Mindanao. Never once onlined date. That's silly. Mindinao has the most diverse mix of cultures, which produces the most beautiful people, secret.

Take your time getting to know each other before going halfway across the world. We laid out ground rules and expectations. She and her family has never asked for money or financial support. Long term relationships are the only relationships worth pursuing in my opinion.

Pinoy here responding to cultural differences like lying. What Westerners perceive as a lie is really just us trying to be polite. We will always say yes if we adhere to the old culture. The only way to know for sure is to ask one of her friends or family members.

Think what you’re describing is competition anxiety. If your a simp, submissive, a yes man, lead with your wallet and your woman knows you don’t have options the treats you like crap and doesn’t respect you as a man! If you display attractive qualities like good posture, confidence, a sense of calm, have boundaries other women will also be attracted to you. Most of my life I was in monogamous relationships. 17.5 year marriage…. But for 2 years I had 5 girlfriend that all knew about eachouther, some were friends, some introduced other girls that became 1 of the 5. Went over 5 for a while it was too much by the time you went through the list you haven’t seen the 1st one for 7 days they are pissed! 3 turns out to be perfect (2 can team up on ya, 3 keeps an imbalance) I have never had a better sex life and never had women treat me as well and all around be an absolute pleasure to be with. They stayed trying because they know I could end it with them in a second. They all continued to really put in the effort like they were competing to be #1 after they saw end things with 1 girl.
