Thank you Paul very informative, Had mine for 6 months got round to hard wiring it but never got round to trying it .Video has given me confidence to get it running , I am in a club that organizes monthly runs this will be a great aid in setting up a run when it is my turn 5star

Just bought a 422 today. Your video has been immensely helpful thank you. For anyone interested £165 for 422 camera rear view camera that sits on the side of the main camera and the power lead for hot wiring the unit. Bought my u3 128mb card from ebay as it was a lot cheaper

Great Video, first i wasnt sure, but now i think i the next dashcam will be a nextbase!
I have just bought the 422gw and being in New Zealand and thus 13 hours ahead (daylight saving), it won't allow a time adjustment of more than 12 hours. Waiting on Nextbase to advise what they can do.

Can the Bluetooth be switched off, or will it become live once a device has been connected the dash cam? On my 422gw the Bluetooth is constantly on at the bottom but it's not highlighted in white which I assume is not active which I don't it too be as I don't require this feature... Cheers

My 422gw is saying that the rear camera isn’t connected.
My problem is I can't get the holder off from the camera. I don't want to keep taking the whole lot off to charge. Help.
does the red light stay on after power off?
Is it better to get a higher P or a higher FPS ?
When in parking mode, I will be using a (anker powerbank), does the lcd screen pop up when for example I leave car in a car park and it detects motion.
Hello, which nextbase is better? 422 or 522? Only the display size or other functions or accessories?
I wondered the same thing but on purchase the 522 is £30 cheaper so that's what I opted for.

Very good video... Helped me a lot with the 522gw.... The only gripe I have is the live view is terrible... High speed WiFi is awful... My older transcend driver Pro was so much easier to get onto its WiFi.

how did you fix it because I’m having the same problem. Just got the 522 yesterday. The app can not find the camera. It shows on the phone that it’s connected via Bluetooth.
Hi paul my I cant find setting buttons on my camera. Screen is clear when I press the screen it takes snapshot. How do I get to menu please? Thank you
Hi Joey B. You need to make sure the camera isn’t recording first. By default it starts recording on startup. Hit the record button to stop it, red light should go off and option icon appear

Great setup video. I didn’t get much of a manual with my 322gw. Do you know if if they start recording with movement of the car or do you have to hit the record button. Thanks. Cheers.
The manual is a PDF download, available from this link tinyurl.com/t63by3y. The camera starts recording when it gets power, so normally when ignition turned on, look for the red light on the back of the camera.

Hey thanks for that, when you activate the reversing camera does it automatically switch to the rear camera on the screen when you select reverse?

Hi. Only if you’ve hard wired it into a fuse that bypasses the ignition. Battery does last a bit and if the car shakes then the camera will record if parking mode turned on.

Exposure on zero is a bit too dark when you watch video later,better is on plus one
I bought a sandisk u3 card but comes up on dashcam please use a u3 card could you tell me what the problem is

Check the Setup settings menu and look for the screen saver option. Not sure if you can turn off but you can set to different setting

Why this camera recording at the same time two movies in two different quality?
The camera records both a low and high quality recording by default, with low quality designed for quick transfer. There is a setting to turn off recording low quality.

My 422 cam gets too hot! N every time i start the engine i need to press the button for recording as a taxi driver its a pain..
It should automatically start recording when it powers on, maybe check the settings to see if its defaulted to off and change it to on.

Great video. I have just got the Netbase 322 GW wich is very similar to yours.
Can you tell me if when connected to the USB do you get 2 of the same video? I get 2 all the time, 1 is a P4 and 1 is a MP4, also I cant seem to be able to save them to a folder.
And the only way I can delete them is by formatting them.

By default the device records a high quality and low quality video, low quality is used for viewing recordings on mobile phone over Bluetooth. You can turn this off in video settings under dual video, but this means you can’t preview videos on your mobile anymore. Working with files on a PC connected via USB should work like a normal USB card so not sure what your problem is there.

Freezes a lot. Noticed on Amazon and England reviews the 422 and the 522 tend to freeze up. The company blames the SD cards but even with their own proprietary $100 card still happens. Regret buying it.
