The only complaint I have about my camera is when I use the Nextbase software to edit a video it takes the original MP3 file from the dash cam and converts it into a .MOV file which does not play well on PC.
I've jsut ordered a collection for my brand new 422 dashcam. The battery won't charge from the mains and it keeps turning itself on and off. I googled it and it's a very common issue with this brand. Maybe it's a great dash cam when it works but there's a ton of faulty ones out there. Be warned.
I need a wired or Bluetooth rear cam, my truck has a camper shell, and the rear cam would have to see through 2 tinted and one clear window, and will not work, plus when hauling something the load will block the view. I hope I can get a cam installed in the rear.

I have 30sec films at only 1080p 30. Would not recommend, although Nextbase customer service is very good.
Via your phone. It'll only work when your phone is connected to the dash cam. Essentially Alexa on your phone will use the dashcams mic instead of the phones mic.
Just got mine, night time video would greatly improve if it only had a HDR setting! License plates gets washed out if it's directly in front of headlight beam!
It's recommended you delete the memory card every 2 weeks, if you have front and rear cameras. It's easy to do on the dash cam whilst it's in the car. If your memory card becomes too full you'll get a warning to remind you.
Have you had problems connecting your Amazon account to the Alexa one on this? I've read that lots of people have had the same problem that I'm having with mine. It takes me to log in to my Amazon account, I log in fine and then it takes me to the nextbase site/app and asks me for the serial number which I enter and log in to which then it takes me to a page with a load of script on and asks for a username and password. I put these details in and it takes me to a purple nextbase page which asks for a code but I haven't a clue what code it wants me to enter. It says it's enabled on the app but not linked. It's clearly not linking the accounts and I've tried all sorts but cant find the answer to fix this. I've contacted nextbase and sent a problem report but have heard nothing back. I've read lots of reviews that many others are having the same problem with theirs. Did you have this problem when setting up yours to be able to use Alexa voice function on your dashcam? Many thanks in advance for your time .
Hi i just bought a 422gw today and wondering if i have to press the record button everytime i start my trip or else it does not start recording....please help
Hi nice video Just a 422 dashcan with a rear view camera and i put a 32gb sandic SD card. I keep having a message (SD card not good quality) . Do I really need to buy a nextbase SD card???
Don't buy this camera, it is garbage. The rear view attachment wobbles all over the place creating video that is useless. The ball joint on the arm has gone loose so as you are driving the cam begins to fall and point upward and you can't even record the road at all but, strangely, also major psychological difficulty is created by the SOS system. So we signed up for the SOS but it repeatedly throws us out and doesn't work. Before owning this cam we never thought about being in an accident, just the type of thing you deal with if it happens. Now that the SOS doesn't work my wife actively worries about what will happen if she does have an accident. Total garbage, don't do it.

Hi, for the parking ‘g-sensor’ to work, does it need to be hard-wired into the fuse box or will it work plugged in to the cigar socket? Thank you

If you're car takes a hit while parked, it should begin recording....I've not been able to test it out though

If you can see out the window so can the camera.
Do you have to clear the memory card every so often with this cam?

Can you use the rear and the cabin at the same time with this model? And can you do the same with the 522gw?
No because for the rear to work you need to plug it into the place the cabin would typically be plugged into.

No it will start recording automatically. You only need to push the button is you want to permanently save a particular clip.
That issue is either a software firmware one. Or you’ve got a non compatible micro SD card.

Sounds like your memory card is corrupted. I think a safe bet would be the official nextbase ones.

I dont recommend this camera , I had nothing but problems with the app and download. Its a waste of money.
I do recommend it. Mine works great.
