Hi jeff I want to ask you about scanner detector what is the best scanner detector in the world I mean scanner that can scanning earth like a video I'm waiting for you answer please jeff????
If I without walking by the mountains and stumbled across some silver coming out of the ground how do I make a claim please help and it's not on anyone's property ! In the mountains or the beginning of the mountains
Who wouldn't want a bag of that red pay dirt?!?! How much fun would it be to sit around and pan that? You are going to make some patrons mighty happy. 😀👍
Chip for jeff! Use a 5 gallon planting can from the landscape industry cut off the bottom and use that as a shoot to keep your white bags open so you can pour the door dirt in without the lip collapsing in there give it a try I know it works!
Southern California gold is commonly in very hematite-rich red quartz. It is always fine gold. Always on fault systems. Although the Mojave deposit is a vent, a VMS vent they are cyanide leaching. That would be microscopic gold.
Gary Morgan here..I was sitting thinking 💭 you have caused a micro Jeff Williams gold rush. That should be recognized as part of true history. You should have something to recognize your journey..I was a patron for 2or 3 months but I guess you didn't get to my gold bag for being a patron ..but I still watch your video because of the information
I've been prospecting since I was 8 years old. You inspire me to keep digging. I'm over 50 now, and build my own equipment. In SC the gold and silver is very fine, but it concentrates in huge pockets. I'm on a silver pocket now, building 3 classification trommels and designing 3 cube sluices to accommodate it. The material is about 200 mesh , but there is a lot of it. Thank you for your videos. They keep me inspired.
He's funny n great with kids, like the 2 brothers that act kind of like our Miner but it's good funny educating good stuff to watch n learn even as a Adult let alone a Kid...
dang jeff. with those bags of clay, 50--60 lb bags? that was a good pile of gold, you don't need big honkers, would be a dream come true, but if i could get that much gold from 250 lbs of red clay or black sand, me be happy camper. i just know there is going to be one heck of a vein down there, just hope it doesn't open into a deeep open cave. until next time, lettttt's gooooo!
Jeff, this was yet again priceless information that you shared about the geology in a gold bearing area. I don't think there's anyone else out there doing what you do - and in the style that you do. Thank you for your energy, passion and knowledge. It is all really interesting and I am sure viewers would love loads more videos like this........ Take care buddy.
This could be classified as my favorite vid of all time! So informative, Hulk Hogan and the Six Million Dollar Man Lee Majors was participating. Unbeatable all around Jeff.
During the song, I was dreaming of blasting it soft and falling through. Hanging from the climbing gear then turn on the lights and can see under the layer, it goes 80ft North, 150ft East, 400ft West and half a mile South and it averages two feet thick. That's when I hit the birdman button to the surface and woke up. Made some hot chocolate and realized Jeff, that's good Gold in that dirt. What's it doing in our hole ??
Chinese river here we come tell me you.found it nice gold that clay is deep you. Can. Send me some. I. Got plenty of time to. Deal with the. Clay... Nice Job Jeff you never disappoint God bless you and Lila
The rocks/minerals discussions are my favorite. Appreciate your taking the time to add them into your videos! Man, I'd love to get ahold of several pounds of that magnetite. Magnetite + blast furnace equals a great time trying to smelt iron.
As an old man with aches and pains in each step, when I am prospecting I swear I feel like I am 30 again. And watching this fella do the same thing with the same enthusiasm makes my shins quiver and I wanna get out there and bust some rocks!
Man you knocked it out of the park! Million dollar man theme, Randy Savage “oh yeah” and the info was amazing! Best prospecting channel on TH-cam by far!
It's exciting seeing someone working rich virgin ground. Nothing against the other guys re-working areas that have been worked over, and over. But this is truly exiting, especially seeing how good that pan was when you're at the top of a clay layer.
One of your best videos yet. You showed geology, mining and processing in one video. I must admit, I miss Slim trying to steal your gold! Soo funny! Great job Jeff!
Well it's a sad day indeed. I just finished watching the last ask Jeff Williams video!!! Help Jeff, make more videos!!! Lol. I benge watched them all! In a little over a month when I first found your sight, I've learned more than I have in years about the hobby and geology in general! Thank you! You know you want to make more, so come on...LET'S GO!!!!!

The wisdom you provide is worth more than any amount of gold I’ve ever found. Hopefully I can turn that around next weekend with a newly acquired drywasher. Maybe I’ll catch you in the hills sometime. So c’mon let’s goooo
I tried my hand a panning Jeff this last summer up Embargo Creek in southern Colorado. I found out it's hard, hard work digging that gravel. And yeah, I got wet. Didn't find anything but I had fun. I might have seen one small tiny piece of gold but I didn't have a good way to collect it. I'm going to try again in Fairplay this summer.
Awesome video, Jeff! I love your explanations of the geology around the mine. That was so cool that you could see that vein running across the ridge of that mountain!
Hey Jeff, have you thought of running all that material through a jaw crusher or an impact mill, to break it all up, before running through the trommel?
He is absolutely right! I found a high-grade pile near an old mine way way high up in the mountains. They were tramming the ore down the mountain. But right at the point before the buckets left , there were about 6 wheelbarrows worth of high grade with some awesome specimens! Good stuff nice reminder
Can't wait to see you with the fall protection harness on, breaking through that bottom! Do you use mercury to emalgamate all the fines? You are amazing Jeff. Maybe you would have fun filming having some friends help in your mine? God bless
I found a digging that had never seen a metal detector. That same red dirt. I pulled so many nuggets from that spot it was unreal. That was the day I learned of the red dirt. Mixed with white yellow and orange of course.
Jeff, your geology classes are some of my favorites. I'm ordering your book right now! I've found some really beautiful outcroppings out here in Colorado but how do I research it to make sure its not actively claimed and how do I claim it myself. I mean, I know about The Diggings but I'm sure there's more to it than that. So I guess my question is, how do I research this spot I'm standing on and make sure I'm not claim jumping if I decide to start digging?
"Prospecting for gold nuggets and reefs in WA." You might all want to have a look at this channel. I guarantee you have never seen a reef the old-timers refered to as a jewellers shop. This channel shows you what it's really like to hit a rich gold reef...enjoy.
You're worth ten times your weight Jeff, another excellent episode, a rich information source most nutritious and always entertaining. I was saddled up and ready to go back into that mine shaft to continue digging, lol, pretty exciting prospect Jeff. All the best from here on the West Coast side of Australia 🌏
Thats fascinating i really am curious does it usually drop when you find clay? Mining sure can be tricky huh Well thanks for another exciting video. Lets go.!
I’m thinking, that if it does happen to drop through, that there has to be a slim selection of base rock beneath the clay, … in case there were an original creek bed, beneath all of that red clay, … or, possibly, that there might be a lava tube, underneath even that, … which was also what became a creek bed, …
That's soo deep where else in some parts of western kenya is almost on the service, it reminded me a week ago when Chinese were contracting a road and unearthed the gold and residents started scrambling for it.
Is this AZ you are hiking through? I live up in the northwest and the other day near a reservoir we were digging around a spot where sandstone meets a pinkish purple shale like mineral mixed with that dark sparkly stuff but I haven't checked for magnetism. There is granite and quartz as well but tiny tiny veins. My 9 year old daughter is fascinated with rocks and collects pocket fulls every time we are out on hikes. Like I did when I was young. We find ourselves digging through rock piles wherever we go. Eager to learn more so thank you for the quick geology lesson. We love it. We enjoy watching your channel and "exploring abandoned and forgotten places" together whoever possible. How long have you been doing this or at what age did you start?
