    Lovely work again. Used to work on these when they were new, long before they got rusty.

      Thank you, it must have been a lot nicer not having to hunt rot out! That said they don't rot any worse than anything else from that era

    Will you add some welded gussets to the front of the quill shaft housing? It is a common Stag problem for the weld to let go. This happened to me and when it does it causes a lot of damage. An easy preventive upgrade while this assembly is out of the car.

      It's not something I have personally ever seen, I will certainly consider it. Did you make a frame/jig to stop the welding distorting the shaft housing?
