Yep we had oil pressure gauge pipes mainly chaffing on the bulkhead and alike , mk 1 s from January 1972 onwards had lots of MK2 parts before the first MK2. For 73 , thanks for sharing

I think, the exhaust manifold has warmed up the nylon and the oil pressure pushed it off the barb. It's also a new oil pump and they tend to set the relief valve too high in my opinion, this one makes over 80psi at idle cold, although with the damaged pipe it may have saved the cranks life!

Just felt rotten for weeks, coughing fits, sent me to hospital in the end and put me on some industrial antibiotics which seems to have sorted me out!

In your opinion, maybe. Please show respect for the owners taste as its his car

Very true, something about Stag owners, they feel the need to change stuff, and it's all a bit naff.

@garypoulton7311 in your opinion, for what it's worth?

As the owner of a 1970 Stag, which I’m keeping relatively original, I disagree.
The Stag is a true classic design and looks as good as ever today, I see no reason to keep everything concourse original.
The grey paint enhances the car, and I think the interior is a great piece of work.
It’s still obviously a Stag, but modernised, and it’s the owners choice on how it looks.
