That MK1 white Golf is my old car. It started life as a 1997 1600 Chico. Nice improvement. You are still shifting the steering and moving your hands thru turn 2 & 5. You don’t need so much steering input as you creating more under steer. Keep going!
@@lowdlcorrect, never shuffle as you don’t know where your wheels are pointing. If you enter the corner correctly and find the apex, you need to open the steering as quickly as you can on exit and should never have to cross your arms.
@@lowdldo a search for GTi Challenge Killarney and watch the in car shots from some of the top guys, their hands never move. When I trained drivers it’s the first thing I would look for. @@Grantve I hear you. But when I watch guys like Clint Rennard and Shane Du Toit for example, they shuffle. Not nearly as much as I do but a shuffle is a shuffle. And they don't open up the wheel quickly either. Their cars are generally stepping out after they apex so they open up the wheel to straighten up. But when it's not sliding, they will hold an angle until they've used the full width of the track and then open up. @@lowdl yeah I wish I had some videos of my days at Killarney in GTI Challenge to share, but it was long before Social media. Once you see the apex after turn in, start looking at the exit. Just try a couple laps like that without shuffling and you will surprise yourself
