The car was 8v hey? if you using the 8v loom the blue wire in the bay that wouldhve gone to the side of the head has to be extended and put onto that switch you replaced. that should switch off your oil light
@@deyllonbarnes4435 There's a white and blue switch in there now. I swapped the wires around and it kept the light on. As it stands now, the light comes on randomly. Very weird.
@@lowdl so maybe the wire of the head is lose remember these cars had 2 sensors now u only have 1 try using the othe sensors plug instead or fit both to the oil filter housing and use both plugs else u going to have bypass it on the cluster by thats running a risk because it will never come on again
Goeie Hoop Onderdele. I've heard that no one else has at the moment so I was happy to find stock there. I didn't check how much they've got but the salesman didn't make it seem as if they're running low.
Great work as always. Thoroughly enjoying this series on this car
Glad you're enjoying it 💪🏽
Thank you Lorenzo... I'm actually excited to see how the Mia is going to do on the track.
Me too. I'm just hoping for a solid day and a nice list of things to improve for the next one.
So far everything is falling into place without any hurdles to fall over..so I wish you the best on Ur first track day..🫡🫡
Yo man, you drove past me this past Saturday past Kenilworth access park side and immediately recognised when i heard the mk2 going 😂 sounds good man
Thank you. I've been driving it for the sound, can't get enough of it. 😂
Wow it's good to see that MK2 on the road again after so long
What do you mean? The last few videos has been about this car.
@@lowdl I'm referring to the purple MK2 u showed in your video buddy
@@craigolynne2942 Thanks for clarifying. And yes, it's been M.I.A for many years. Now to convince the owner to race it again 😬
@@lowdl that would be awesome but does one of her family members own it now if I may ask
@@craigolynne2942 It's one of her old friends that the family sold the car to soon after she passed. He's had it all this time.
Those spacers for the gearbox the solid rubber spacers where can i get of those👀... Need those will save me from replacing trumpets hopefully😅
I have no idea where it's from. 🤣 You will have to check with Rudy.

@@myseedrcc3306 Goeie Hoop Onderdele 💪🏽 they've got the goods

That's how it's currently setup. I'm not sure why it hasn't switched off the light.
@@lowdl maybe a break in the wire or the cluster is sus.. try a white switch before you rip the loom apart

Quick question does the 16v have a oil sensor on the head aswell or just on the oil filter housing
No, only on the filter housing. The blue sensor is apparnely for the head on a 8v. I tried my luck.

I believe i missed u Saturday btwn the tdi guys 🫣would have loved to hear the car in person🥹
@@T-Tspares I've got two sensors in the filter housing. The white and the blue one. Those are supposedly the correct ones but something is still off.
@@T-Tspares The car isn't much to look at in person. 😅
Where did you buy the DS Pads?

Why can't RR fix your oil light and your speedo? 🤔
😂 Yous should ask him that. It's either the wiring or the cluster.
Must do your speedo also
That's not an easy fix. Gearbox doesn't have a speed output.
