I received the same Row One yarns. The first yarn I used turned my fingers green. I rinsed the yarn several times and it continued to bleed. I picked a dark blue yarn from the bag, rinsed it and it bled quite a bit as well. Just wanted you to be aware. I've never had that happen to me before, but I've only been knitting for about a year.
I am working on the Get Ziggy crochet shawl by Sandra Paul and it has a really neat design to do the pattern increases that is kind of genius. Mine is striped in a 90s-ish denim blue and variagated almost neon pink, blue and white. Should be fun!
I've got WIP's looking at me sadly but somehow I forgot the most important thing, rest frequently. I now have a torn ligament in my thumb, in the poor had that was recently operated and was just starting to feel good. Now another surgery to repair said tendon is in my immediate future. There's a lesson there, don't ignore pain. The yarn you received looks lovely.
Happy Anniversary to you and Eric! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Currently working on a Musselburgh hat, vanilla socks, and The Cozy Comfort Throw and I can't decide right now which is my favorite, because I love them all!!
Hi. Im working on simple scarf with Lang Ayumi Baumwoole Mako. The color I can't find on the label, I call it a Aquamarine color. I enjoyed you sharing all you are working on. 😊😊😊
Love this! Right now I’m working on a find your fade shawl using 2023 fibre Fox advent and my first pair of vanilla socks! Cant stop with either of them 😅
I am currently obsessed with my Coziest Memory Blanket. I started it about two weeks ago and I think I’m on my 9th square. I’m not a fast knitter, plus I only have.a little while in the evenings for knitting. I’m using your idea for directional placement of the squares, as well as for the beginning and end of each row. Mine is half scrappy, and then the not scrappy squares are one of three colors and will surround some of the squares so they sort of look like flowers. At least I hope they will. We’ll see if what I’m envisioning in my head works out. :)
Hi Kay. Love your scrappy blanket. I have started using my left over fingering sock yarn and made small squares and hexagons but still have yarns left over so I might start a scrappy crochet blanket as well. You have inspired me. The sleeve on Waytt's jumper is looking great. You have done alot of work on it. I can't put down knitting vanilla socks with Ruby and Roses yarn. I knit these when it is too hot for me to crochet the Catherine Wheel pattern that I have crocheted into a baby blanket. I have made one with pink, yellow blue and mint and white for a girl and I have now started a blue , mint and white one for a boy as we are expecting a grand baby in a few months. Love seeing the mail goodies. beautiful yarn. Happy anniversary. Enjoy. Thank you.
First- Happy Anniversary! I finished the pieces of my first ever sweater, and seamed the shoulders , but am stuck on the instructions for the neckline , so… I started another one in the same pattern for my husband.😂 I’m hoping to find someone to help me with deciphering the instructions soon because I really want to wear mine this year! The only other things I’ve ever knit are socks, (I taught myself to knit for the sole purpose of knitting socks) but now I want sweaters to match my socks, and I buy my shoes specifically because they allow me to see my socks when I wear them. 🤣
Hi Kay! The Row One minis are adorable! I had been looking for a Christmas advent so I'm going to get a Row One subscription instead. I can't wait - thanks for sharing and the discount code!
I started a pair of vanilla socks two years ago from your pattern/video tutorial. And only finished one sock plus the ribbing of the second. I’ve been home sick with the ‘vid this week and went through all my hibernating wips. I finished the second sock in one day! Now I’m obsessed with making socks!!! I get the Farmers Daughter Fibers monthly sock club and I can’t knit fast enough for all the socks I want to knit now. Oooh and The Housemaid’s Secret is good! That’s the only book of hers that I’ve read lol.
I’m working on the Coorie In poncho, on the bottom ribbing. 400+ stitches in rib 😮. I want to finish it by Sunday to wear for church. If it’s too warm I might wear it anyway.
January was a finish-it month. I made 3 pairs of socks for my 18-month-old great granddaughter, finished a workaday scarf and my beginner brioche beanie. I am still working on my son's sweater (Smokin' by Jarrod Flood), on the button bands and shawl collar, then the pockets and sew the underarms and I am done. Started a pair of toe-up socks (my preferred method) two-at-a-time. I usually do vanilla socks but decided to try patterned, so am doing Heel Toe Do Si Do. Took me a while to remember the pattern, but now I'm moving right along and can do them as my take-along project. Happy anniversary.
I’m at the border stage of my Stitch in Time scrappy blanket and can’t put it down. Only 5 more blocks to go before I seam them all together! You’ve inspired me to start a Granny Stripe Blanket after I finish this one. When my husband and I were dating almost 50 (!) years ago, I crocheted him a granny square blanket. I haven’t done any crocheting since then so I thought it would be fun to crochet something similar but different with some of my scraps/minis (SO MANY LEFTOVERS!)
I am working on my very first knitted pair of socks. Vanilla sock pattern in 9” circulars. Have both worked to the heel. Just started the first heel! Excited about the socks. 😊
I'm working on my sweater that I started early last year. It's a raglan top-down and I'm finally on the sleeves! Hopefully I'll still have some cold days to wear it since it's already back in the high-70s this week. Gotta love Florida weather... Then I need to knit some heart socks for a gift. I just bought a 9 inch circular needle to try. I love that yarnable box! The extras are so cute!
I have been sewing inall the ends into 13 bags of 12 circles each with two colours so I can join them to make the “hexi love bloanket” sorry can’t find the pattern for the author. If you google itbis a free pattern.lots of fun but don’t leave all the weaving in like I did😂❤ 4 bags to go. Then the great pattern hunt begins❤❤
I received my first Yarnable order this month and my jaw dropped when I saw the colorway, it’s just so pretty! All the little extras were great too. I also decided to get the fingering weight as well. Very excited to see how it knits up. Thank you so much for the $5 off code! It was what made me decide to try my first yarn subscription
always love the weekly catch up! Wyatt's sweater is looking great, i finished one GD's birthday sweater last week and im casting on another birthday sweater tomorrow, i have 2 pair of grand daughters that have birthdays 5-6 weeks apart, so it's intense knitting time! after this i get a break and can knit for me, i love scrappy socks and i have 2 pair on the needles, it's nice to switch projects out, cannot get bored that way! have a good week and Happy Anniversary!! ♥
I am tempted to crochet a blanket using magic knot yarn ball but I'm not sure how it will turn out after washing in the washing machine, if the knots will untie or not
Happy anniversary! I love the scrappy projects and might get the Row One suscription because I love scrappy projects too! Thank you for all the discount codes! I'm currently finishing my second sock tonight of my first pair ever knitted thanks to your tutorials! I started them dec. 1st but set them down a lot for crochet projects. My goal was to be done by Valentines so I made it!
I started the patterned section of my first Heel Toe Do Si Do sock today and I can’t stop! I’d been working steadily on my Anthology throw but was itching to knit socks. The black portions of this self striping yarn challenge my eyes but watching the pattern develop is so much fun. I’m hoping to start a DK jelly roll blanket and would love a video on your modifications. Is that possible? I’m a visual learner and while I’ve read through your mods multiple times, would benefit greatly from seeing the changes. Thx.
I’m so happy you’re enjoying the sock pattern. I’m sorry but I wont be doing any tutorials on the jelly roll blanket. It’s not my pattern and I wouldn’t feel right doing tutorials for my channel on someone else’s paid for pattern.
LOL! I feel the same way about opening several yarn packages when the whole family is home😊 I'm currently working on my second Coorie In Poncho. I'm not a big garment knitter, but for some reason I can't put down this project.
I love when you show the Mountain State stitches bag. Reminds me of meeting you and buying the bag from your shop when we came to Ohio. First day of Summer Sock Camp 2021. I always have a pair of socks in my bag….car knitting!
Your Morning Coffee pattern ❤! Can’t stop the thoughts of all the socks I could make for other people with yarn in my stash! February is my selfish knitting month because I go in for thumb surgery in March. Trying to stay focused but it’s hard! Also, started my coziest memory blanket!
I'm currently knitting socks for my teen daughters and for me using sewrella yarn Gilmore Girls collection yarn. Turned a heel while watching this lovely episode. It was like having my own little coffee knitting catch up.
Hi Kay, working on 2 pairs of socks, working them tendem so they'll be done at almost the same time. And a testknit, almost done with that too, going strong. Happy knitting, Petra
Your progress on the sweater sleeve looks great and a lovely pattern design. I love everything scrappy and just love using up bits and pieces and yes, socks are my favourite knitting!
Oh my goodness! I love your WIPS. I’ve told you before that I’m from Wisconsin, mostly in reference to our weather. It’s been a crazy winter. I’m so happy that we got the blizzard a few weeks ago. Yesterday we had thunderstorms AND tornadoes. Ridiculous! I hope it doesn’t make a turn and go back to winter. At this point it would be so depressing.
Love seeing all your progress!! I'm working through my wips that I started last year. At the moment I'm back to the MKAL from October. I finished a top down sweater last week but the neck was too wide so I did some sweater surgery and decreased , then redid the ribbing...twice. The first time was too small! I think it's good now but decided to finish this episode and knit on something else before getting the recipient to try it on 😂
I've been working through the WIPs that have been languishing WAY too long in project bags. I managed to get 2 done this week....boy does it feel good. I have 2 more shawls that I want to finish that are going slowly but.....I fell off the cliff and cast on another cowl/shoulder cozy last night. It's super easy knitting so should be good for Super Bowl watching. My daughter just took up quilting so I've spent a lot of time going through my fabric stash for stuff to pass to her. That's been fun. She made me a beautiful table runner which is so special because it was her first project....and I have to say, it's making me want to try quilting. Heaven knows I've got enough calico here to try something. Maybe I'll add it to the 2024 list....maybe. :)
I can't stop knitting on my Central Park Hoodie. Ot is cabled, and I am already almost done with one sleeve. It is worked in pieces, and I am really enjoying the process! ❤
Just truly enjoying finishing old WIPs!!!! It’s such a sense of accomplishment…so this includes a pair of socks, a blanket , an advent wrap and a shawl. Then it’s casting on new things to create new WIPS to finish by, let’s say, next year! 😂
This is a small project but I am knitting a hat out of Purl Soho's Simply Yak yarn. It is so soft. It is what I want to knit. Can't wait to have the hat as well. Love your scrappy blankets!
I have 2 favourite knitting projects. Socks for my daughter, she never shows any interest in my crafting usually but she actually asked for a pair of hand knit socks ❤ I am also loving my scrappy cozy memories blanket, also my English paper piecing project is bringing me great joy so I have to share my time between the 3 each day. See you next time
I got up to check on one of my yarnable projects I’m working on from a few years ago and definitely no month or date. They’re DK sock yarn called Laugh S’more Worry Less. Ordered extra so I wouldn’t run out. Now to finish them!!
I was raised by two generations of coffee drinkers. I make my own hot chocolate mix, recipe from when I was a kid (I'm in my early 60s). Recently, I wanted to add green tea to my diet, but not one to add milk and sugar to tea. I make the green tea and then add that to the hot chocolate mix. I don't notice any real change to my hot chocolate, and the powdered milk is enough to keep the tea from upsetting my stomach.
Love your scrappy blanket!! I just started a Tunisian Crochet scrappy blanket and I am absolutely addicted to it. Your podcast is making my laundry folding marathon a lot more enjoyable!!
I just did a sock with a shirt row heel and loved it so much I couldn’t stop knitting until I could do it again on the second sock! I started the second sock’s heel while spending knitting time with you today! 🤩
I am currently knitting a pair of socks 🧦 made with Christmas yarn from Yarn of My Dreams from 2022. On the last sock. I will be caking up my February Yarnable tomorrow that is so beautiful 😍
Love having the month/year on the Yarnables. No, it hasn't been on before this year. I never could remember when I'd cake it up! Good progress on Wyatt's sweater...so lovely!ove thise added minutes of daylight in the morning. 😊
I’m trying to finish a pair of socks for my husband, using worsted weight yarn. He loves wearing them around the house and obviously without shoes on. I’m also working on a cardigan for myself, using a pattern from Tin Can Kits. I always love watching you and credit you for my sock knitting.
My favorite project currently is my Sweet Shop blanket. It is a fantastic Advent/scrap project, and I can't recommend it enough. I do love my Row One minis and am saving them for my upcoming Cozy Memories blanket. There is no such thing as too many scraps! *the 'new' antique sock blockers fit right in your decor! ❤
I’m currently knitting this month’s Yarnable socks in your Crunkled pattern! AND I’m thoroughly enjoying my Ist shipment of Row 1 minis and adding them to my Coziest Memories blanket! You have definitely enabled me in the best way!! 😊💜💙🤍
Me too!!! Now if I don't work it up in the month I receive it, I'll know when it is from! I wish I would have wrote the months on the ones that I have from past years that haven't been worked up yet.
I've been bitten by the spring fever bug when it was 60 degrees in Michigan, so I've casted on the sub-pop tee. Using a stash yarn I picked up on a trip to Chicago by Stone Barn Fibers in their Dragonfly color way.
Love scrappy projects the best🎉🎉🎉 So have scrappy socks!!!loving them!!! Granny wrap to crochet!!!the reading shawl is scrappy!!!!!!!❤❤ Happy anniversary for saturday!!have a great weekend!!! Elaine 🏠♥️
I’m working on a Dartmoor sweater and I can’t stop knitting on it! The combination of yarn is amazing and it feels like a kitten! Wyatt’s sweater will look great when it’s done!
omg. You read my mind on the ball winding. I have been ruminating on this for the past three days as I fought with knots and tangles in my yarn subscription , to the point of readiness to cancel . I HATE the hanks! I'm here on your shop today in hopes of locating your swift once more: would you be so kind as to point me in its direction? Thanks, and kudos on the subject!
What am I working on? My 3rd pair of Heel Toe Do Si Do socks! You showed yours 2 (?) weeks ago and I immediately bought your pattern. I love how it works with stripes yarns....
Working on a pair of cashmere socks that are a gift for a friend. But I’ve recently taken a Learn to Crochet class and really want to start a Granny Stripe blanket.
I’ve got two projects I can’t put down. A secret pair of socks I’m making my husband as a valentines gift and my Ankers Sweater My Size. I’m almost done! Just a few more inches on each sleeve. It’s a gorgeous red yarn and I’m hoping to wear it for our Valentines Dinner date ❤
Love that scrappy blanket! I FINALLY FINISHED my Follow Your Path socks and now flying through Vanilla Socks😊 That mug is so cute and my first thought was “Oh you should put a pair of socks in with that gift”!!!
Good morning to you Kay! Love waking up to find a new episode from you. That sweater for your son is the BOMB! I think pretty much not many high school guys walking around who can say their beautiful fisherman's sweater was made by their mom!!!!!! A rare keepsake for sure🥰. Hope you have a great day, you sure made mine off to a good start-drinking wonderful coffee!!!! Thx! Ciao for now and knitting hugs, Carrie from Northern San Francisco Bay Area (GO NINERS🏉🏉🏉!!!!!) 😘❤🐶🐑🌺☕🧵🪡🧶
I don’t live far from you in West Virginia and I feel like it’s fully spring already but I know that means we will probably have a late winter snowstorm 😂😂 I’ve been on a huge sock kick lately and right now I’m making the Seasons socks by Summer Lee
I’m working away on socks for the families boxes of socks. So over only one out of eight boxes has a pair of socks, because I’m still working on 2023’s Christmas socks. Everyone has at least one pair on needles though. Yarnable started putting the month and year on the label in maybe September last year. I love that they do that now.
Yarnable started putting the month and year on the label last year but I don’t believe they had it on there before then. I have a couple skeins still in my stash from 2022 and it doesn’t have it on them.
Kay, for some reason I randomly cast on your shawl pattern “A Guiding Light”, and I CANNOT PUT IT DOWN. I am already over halfway done and I just started it a few days ago 😂 I also have another new obsession, it’s the show The Gilded Age and I love it so much that I already restarted it over again. I feel like you’d love it since you mentioned liking Downton Abbey! Maybe not something to watch with Erik, but if you need a perfect comfort show for knitting, check it out.
That sweater will be so handsome for Wyatt. I had to sign up for the Christmas club. So cute! I'm working on the post modern love cardigan and your sock pattern. Having fun with both! Happy Weekend! - Kimberly
Mmmm🤔 thinking about Row 1 mini. Questions: do you think crochet blankets warm or to airy and with the Musselburgh hat the way you knit the rim is it good. I always k1 p1 or k2 p2 my rim. But want to try this. Thanks
Right now I don't have a fav project. I'm waiting for the 16th to start Tain Connaughton's Knitbydesigns Mystery KAL. So excited! Other than that, finishing a shawl and 3 pairs of socks

I now have a torn ligament in my thumb, in the poor had that was recently operated and was just starting to feel good. Now another surgery to repair said tendon is in my immediate future. There's a lesson there, don't ignore pain. The yarn you received looks lovely.
Ouch! Wishing you a speedy recovery! ♥️
Really enjoyed
Crocheting Cara Shawl for my SIL. Scrappy granny crochet blanket soon.
Happy belated anniversary!
My husband bought me the Chrismassy Yarn Club for my birthday!!! This month's is SO PRETTY. I'm nearly done my socks.
Happy Anniversary to you and Eric! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Currently working on a Musselburgh hat, vanilla socks, and The Cozy Comfort Throw and I can't decide right now which is my favorite, because I love them all!!
Thank you!! ♥️♥️
The yarnerble yarn is beautiful. I am currently only working on my scrappy Battenburg blanket.

That sounds awesome 😍
October 2023 was my first YARNABLE box and both the main color and the mini have had the month and year listed on the color label.
❤ my most recent favorite project is a Felix Cardigan (for me) with yarn my sweet Aunt sent me from her friend's farm. 😊😊😊

I got up to check on one of my yarnable projects I’m working on from a few years ago and definitely no month or date. They’re DK sock yarn called Laugh S’more Worry Less. Ordered extra so I wouldn’t run out. Now to finish them!!
Hi Kay, loving the blanket and beautiful yarns. Cute mug too ❤❤❤
I was raised by two generations of coffee drinkers.
My current project.........well one of them that I just can't put down is my scrappy memories blanket. 😊
I thought it was a new addition to the label!!
That's my favorite right now too! Such a cozy, happy knit.
I’m currently knitting this month’s Yarnable socks in your Crunkled pattern! AND I’m thoroughly enjoying my Ist shipment of Row 1 minis and adding them to my Coziest Memories blanket! You have definitely enabled me in the best way!! 😊💜💙🤍
Awesome! Thats not my pattern, but it’s definitely a pretty one! 🧦
Yarnable hasn’t always put the month and year. They started doing it around September (I think) of last year. So not long. But I’m glad they are!!
I am working on the cozy knitter 2023 advent. My first 2 socks at the same time and I can’t put it down. 😊
I started to make magic balls out of my scrappy yarn. This is so fun to then knit because I am not sure what colorway comes next.
I have been working on my Full of Minis Hat hoping for some snow really cold temps before winter ends 🤞
I’m hoping for one more too!
Love scrappy projects the best🎉🎉🎉
So have scrappy socks!!!loving them!!!

I’m loving my cozy memories blanket! I had never thought I would enjoy knitting one but I started on January 1st and am loving it!!
I have a couple of wips to work on, but I want to cast on a new scrappy blanket. Love your yarn cabinets where did you get them.
All the yarns are beautiful. The yarnable yarn is so gorgeous. Can’t wait to see it knitted up.
Love the socks, jumper and scrappy blanket.👍 I’m currently knitting socks and have just started the comfort fade cardigan. 👍😊🧶
I got my first Yarnable it is so pretty. Thank you for telling us about it. Can’t wait to get the next one.
Always Fun Kay, and Inspiring! Thank you! Try Cold Brewing that passionfruit tea.....sooooo good!!🤗💖
Love the colors in the Dr Who socks ❤
I love working on my Norwegian Selbu mittens.....I've made pairs for about a dozen family and friends. They captivate me! 🙂
Love the progress on the scrappy blanket and Wyatt's sweater. Currently one pair of socks on the go and just about to cast on a sweater. 🇬🇧
It’s linked in my Amazon storefront. Link in the description box below the video 🧶♥️
What am I working on? My 3rd pair of Heel Toe Do Si Do socks! You showed yours 2 (?) weeks ago and I immediately bought your pattern. I love how it works with stripes yarns....
You and your sock knitting are so inspiring and NOW ALL THE BLANKETS!!!! LOVE
I loved all of the scrappy projects but lately I haven’t been able out down my Selena Slipover Dress.
you can cold brew the tea overnight on the counter or in the fridge, no hot water needed.
Love that scrappy blanket! I FINALLY FINISHED my Follow Your Path socks and now flying through Vanilla Socks😊 That mug is so cute and my first thought was “Oh you should put a pair of socks in with that gift”!!!
Right now your Spread the Love fingerless mitts in Yarnable Frosty Fox color, I’m loving the pattern and the beautiful color, can’t put them down
Happy Anniversary! Hope you get the socks done😀. The sweater is beautiful!
Thank you! ♥️
I don’t live far from you in West Virginia and I feel like it’s fully spring already but I know that means we will probably have a late winter snowstorm 😂😂
I’ve been on a huge sock kick lately and right now I’m making the Seasons socks by Summer Lee
I love it too! Now that I noticed it! 😂
I am working on a helical sock and learning 9 inch circular needles.
? Can you knit socks with fingerling and mohair together for the entire sock??
I’ve never tried that but I’m sure you could.
Yarnable started putting the month and year on the label last year but I don’t believe they had it on there before then. I have a couple skeins still in my stash from 2022 and it doesn’t have it on them.
I have one I've been working on, my Sophie's I'm now half way. Love your socks, blanket and sweater!
Scrappy projects are beautiful! Thank you for sharing your work with us!
Oh my, love your Freckled Whimsy sock set! All your yarn acquisitions are wonderful.
Have you seen the Northeasterly blanket pattern? I started one last weekend to use up my fingering weight scraps.
Yep I tried to knit it once but didn’t like the process. 🧶
Oh those socks for your nieces are going to be gorgeous! You make me want to make all the scrappy things.
Kay, for some reason I randomly cast on your shawl pattern “A Guiding Light”, and I CANNOT PUT IT DOWN. I am already over halfway done and I just started it a few days ago 😂
I also have another new obsession, it’s the show The Gilded Age and I love it so much that I already restarted it over again. I feel like you’d love it since you mentioned liking Downton Abbey! Maybe not something to watch with Erik, but if you need a perfect comfort show for knitting, check it out.
That’s awesome! Thats such a fun pattern. I will definitely check out the show!
That sweater will be so handsome for Wyatt. I had to sign up for the Christmas club. So cute! I'm working on the post modern love cardigan and your sock pattern. Having fun with both! Happy Weekend! - Kimberly
I just finished a Musselburgh in Molly's yarn, that I am in LOVE with. I am back to working on my hisband's StarWars yoke sweater 😂
Mmmm🤔 thinking about Row 1 mini. Questions: do you think crochet blankets warm or to airy and with the Musselburgh hat the way you knit the rim is it good. I always k1 p1 or k2 p2 my rim. But want to try this. Thanks
I like the crochet blankets I have made. Just depends on your personal preference. Do a little swatch and see if you like the fabric. 🧶
@@CrazySockLady do you stay warm compare to knit blankets
Right now I don't have a fav project. I'm waiting for the 16th to start Tain Connaughton's Knitbydesigns Mystery KAL.
So excited! Other than that, finishing a shawl and 3 pairs of socks
I am working on a few different socks, a scrappy cozy memories blanket, and a scrappy granny stripe blanket ❤
Happ Anniversary Kay! Have a great Satursay!
I started The Teacher too. Hard to put down any of her books.
Love a!!your scrappy stuff. I know you shared what lip gloss you wear but can you share again please. I have been working on a prayer shawl and socks
