I love the beach. Seems like the sites are extremely spacious. It's not a camping trip without a spotty rain shower. The trails seem great and the forest is lush. That is a huge cookie. I do love the sound of rain.
I love that you two went and explored the area, even though you are already familiar with it! I can relate to Alan regretting but not regretting his purchase 😆 Skylar is the same...will say he doesn't want anything..but then expects me to share 😆
I came across your channel recently and have been really enjoying your content. We are in the same area and have wondered about Darlington. Might have to give that a try. We also have a Blackstone and now don’t take anything else with us. It’s so versatile and the clean up is so easy. I made sure I followed the seasoning procedure and oil it after each use and it just gets better after each use. Looking forward to more videos
Thanks so much! Darlington is a pretty nice park - but it does get rather busy on weekends during the summer especially on long weekends since it's so close. I would personally avoid long weekends there, and if you are looking for privacy, there are some great sites with water views (I mentioned a few here) and we also like sites 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 if that helps! Our Blackstone is cast aluminum so it's even easier - no seasoning required! So convenient.
Way to vacation close to home! What does the dragonfly hat do? I've never seen one before. Sorry to hear about the tick. I would be hesitant too after that. It was interesting tagging along with you guys and the little skunk too!
Haha that little skunk was so funny - was on our site for a while just snooping around. We had our door open for a breeze so we quickly closed it to avoid any potential in-trailer guests! The dragonfly hat apparently keeps black flies and horse flies away. The tick was not fun - but now I'm more conscious of it and on the look out!
It's actually impressive just how much the home grown/home made/craft brewing scene has taken off so close to home (we're in Oshawa). Its nice to see our part of Durham Region coming into It's own. Great video, thanks for sharing your experience with us. 🙂
I'm local too and went into Darlington for a walk a few days ago. I was on the McLaughlin Bay trail toward the end, heading back to my car, and i was NERVOUS getting through it because of how grassy it was! 😅 But would have been too long to turn back. I changed and showered and clothes went straight into the washing machine when I got home.
It's serious business with all of those tick havens! After my tick experience I'm so much more aware now. But previously I never really paid attention 😬
So glad you got a griddle! We upgraded last year too. You have to try patty melts and quesadillas. We also made chicken fried chicken and french toast at the other week at Earl Rowe.
Oh that all sounds so good! I'm adding these suggestions to our list of meals to try. But I have to ask... what's a patty melt? Is it like a smash burger?
Great video. I'm going back through all your previous videos since I just found your channel. Question..what make is your bigger folding slat table ? Thanks and looking forward to your next video.
Is the section you stayed in, the radio free section? The sites look amazing, but we like our quietly played music lol. Plus the park is super close for us.
I don't think the park has a radio free section. At least we didn't notice one... this section we heard very faint music from some sites as we walked by.
You say that you only needed a slight lift on one side to be level. perhaps a simple shovel of a few lifts of dirt on the high side, would make you level. Pack a shovel, always be level.
I went there such a beautiful spot I had but it was the day of the storm I live 11 minutes away and took me 4 hrs to get there lmao the courtice rd was closed lol
The Dragon Fly clip to repel biting flies is awesome! Super effective
Mucho bueno 👌

Oh yes - this season we've had quite the rainy weather. But it does make the greenery nicer.

Husbands! 🤣 I always plan to share because he usually wants to try what I have.
It was fun to pretend we were tourists for the day!
@@TheAverageTourist ooh husbands 😆same things happens with us
Great visitor at your camp!
Sorry about the weather.
You still made the best of it! Haha, 20 minutes away from home !
Yes we tried to make it fun despite the rain. Glad the skunk didn't spray on our site!
Ontario's beauty never fails to impress. Your vlogs always inspire me to get outdoors more. Keep up the great content
Ontario really has some beautiful nature.
Oh I am hoping to go again soon ❤❤

Thanks so much!! The craft brewery scene in Durham is pretty great, every time a new Durham Brewery opens, we have to go support the small business 🤣🍻
We just purchased the same Blackstone. Cant wait to try it.
So far we are loving it!! Hope you do too.
I love kayaking in McLaughlin Bay.
Love your playful sides. You guys are really fun to watch!
Aw thanks so much!! Glad you enjoyed.

@@TheAverageTouristyes, like a smash burger except with cheese on both sides of the burger on toasted rye bread with onions.
@daniellehunter5057 I'm drooling, that's definitely going on the menu!!
Thank you ❤
No problem!

Oh thanks so much! This is the make we purchased a few years ago on Amazon, a Giantex folding camping table: amzn.to/3XQjagr

Good video as always.

We use our leveling blocks or a piece of wood under the low side tire to get it perfect side to side 👌
Love your videos
Thanks so much!! 😊

That's a long drive!!
We are in bowmanville I always say in frosty johns area
I know that area!!
I stayed at that site last year 😅
It's a good site!
Yes it is. We go there every year we live in whitby so not far to go but this year we are doing an algonquin camp. 😅😅
@dango721 Nice!! Algonquin is beautiful, enjoy!
😂 that’s not really camping😂 you have a bed, power, and a toilet… might as well gotten a hotel room… go actual camping with a tent and no car
There's all types of camping. This is what we like, but if you prefer a tent, go for it!
