Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 34% rating? It's hard to take Rotten Tomatoes seriously after they gave The new Ghostbusters a 73%.
You know how the website works, right?
They didn't "give" either of those movies a rating in the sense that they decided if they liked it or not.
They took the reviews, determined which were positive and which were negative, and gave the percentage of positive ones.
If you have a beef with them, shouldn't you complain about the individual critics, not the aggregate site?

They're an aggregate site. They take what other reviewers say and average it out.
If the movie is good, the score will most likely go up in the next few days as more critics get a chance to watch it.

A couple of things:
1- Don't say if it's bad or good if you haven't seen it
2- Don't be a blind fanboy. Accept that MAYBE something can be bad, even if it's hard to admit
3- Learn to understand Rotten Tomatoes. A 30% doesn't necessarily mean a movie is a fucking 3/10
4- Form your own opinion. Let's not forget that some shitty movies have positive scores and vice versa
5- Critics can be trusted, just don't worship them
6- Remember that a lot of critics are FANS just like you and me, and not liking the movie hurts them just as much as it does you or me
7- Yes, some are bias, but not all or even most
8,9,10- Don't compare scores. They're not meant to be compared. They are solely for the product being reviewed. The dark knight, toy story 3, and goodfellas are all 10s for DIFFERENT reasons

First time I disagreed with Jeremy. I thought this movie was a horrendous mess. None of the characters had any dimension, the pacing was rushed, the delivery of the jokes were painfully bad. I couldn't take it

EDIT: Now while I do see many of the problems with the site (critic qualification and whack scores sometimes specifically), the site still shouldn't be getting more hate than the critics themselves, especially since they let things slide with certain movies but are nitpicky about the same thing on other movies.

This movie was immensely disappointing. Half the characters had NO development. The antagonist was the cookie-cutter "other dimensional threat", the main conflict of a beam of light shooting into the sky was stupid and overdone, the editing was horrible in some areas (especially the "climactic" fight towards the end (i mean wtf, this is a professional film, whats with the shit editing)), a lot of the one liners these people gave were cringeworthy. Also, why in the fuck were these people sent to deal with ALIEN THREATS?! Most of them are just regular human people!!!! It makes no sense. I did enjoy the character development for Deadshot, Harley and the Joker in the beginning, and I enjoyed Harley's and Jokers moments, but thats about it. The rest was bullshit. 4/10
There is so much wrong with this but Im just going to focus on the main one: the SS was not sent to deal with the threat, they were sent to retrieve a high value target. They went after the Enchantress because shortly after banding together, because they had nothing left to lose, and because they developed camaraderie. Im not sure how you missed this....

i think the movie was great. not on par with wonder woman for best dc movie but a solid 7/10 for me. for a film that introduces an assemble cast, its on the level for guardians of the galaxy. and the characters grows for the longer the movie goes. thats a very hard to achive but i think the movie just did that. i really like that way of storytelling. it felt fresh from all the generic good guy superhero movies. i dont get the bad critics for the movie cus mostly its about not enough joker and bad pacing cus of focus on flashbacks or unintresting dialogue. on that note- what movie were u watching!? i felt the chemistry between the characters made a huge diffrence with this. these are bad guys, we see them talk alot about running away free, trying to set up something- but they are all nuts so who the hell can u trust when u already have a gun pointed at u!? it made a really intresting dynamic i havent seen in a superhero movie in a long time. sure it has parts when i too can feel its abit stale and its not by any means a masterpiece. but all these extremly NEGATIVE reviews/critique without a argument that makes sense too me makes me wonder if we saw the same film.

But they are afraid to completely bash it because of the sjw and feminist movement. I have seen very few reviews of people who actually liked it. And their videos tend to have a high dislike margin.
The fact that it has a 73% just shows how flawed RT is
its very simple: go see the movie
then form your own opinion.
That's exactly why I usually try to release my reviews on Sunday or Monday so people can get the opening weekend to digest it themselves!
here's the thing if you going solo yeah ... if your going w your wife and say 1 or 2 or more kids that's at least a Bill ($100) or more investment..thats why we have reviews.

Civil War had a more sustainable and sensible plot and their reasoning behind the oppositions actually made more sense. However I still enjoyed the Suicide Squad film. It's not an Oscar-worthy film. +Savage _Tv well it might, the movie tried way to hard for the cool action scenes and the character development was very forced and also the pacing was probably the worst part i feel the movie was made for the trailer. the scenes were way to short and felt that a lot of the scenes were missing. the problem was that the movie was too ambitious for it's own good. I was very excited for the movie when it came out but it did disappoint me I didn't hate it but it was very disappointing so did it deserve a 39% rating on Rotten Tomatoes well I don't know but I wouldn't give it more than a 5/10 sadly

Rotten Tomatoes does not have a singular opinion you moron, they aggregate the opinions of the professional film critic community as a whole.

Its incredible how petty you fanboys are. The only reason you;re agreeing with Jeremy is because he said it was good. If he said it was bad, you'd all be saying "well screw you Im still going to see it" and blah blah. I don't know why you insist that critics are out to kill DC movies. Have you ever just considered that maybe these recent DC movies just suck? BvS was terrible and Man of Steel was just average and they were appropriately rated by critics. Have you also considered that most critics are just as excited to see these movies as you? I actually wonder if any of you actually read their reviews or just looked at the scores they gave the movie because a lot of what they say is valid, that while the acting is pretty good the movie itself was jumbled and seemed like one big trailer. Pretty ironic that Jeremy only really raved about the acting performances and not the movie itself. And by the way, his name is pronounced as Jay. If you want validity at least get the actors names who you're raving about right. I love comic book movies, but just to spite you fanboys, I hope every DC movie sucks as bad as BvS and apparently as bad as this one too.

My problem with this movie is that the Squad shouldn't have been fighting something as powerful as the Enchantress and her brother. They needed a different villain. She's too powerful for the team. But at the same time filmmakers decided she needed to fight the Squad by hand as opposed to blowing them up with her machine. She destroying satellites and black site with lightning, but she choose to engage SS by hand.
Can we take a moment to discuss how Leto's Joker was so heavily marketed in the trailers and the actor with an Academy Award gets about 5 minutes on screen? What was the point of all these stories we saw about his method acting for this role & all the magazines that put him on the front cover and asked about how prepared for this role, only to see him for a few moments in the movie? WB really knows how to play a cheap trick on us by making us think he'd be a huge part of the film, only to give him a few scenes. I really hope he gets a much bigger role in the solo Batman film.

The vast majority of people in the audience with us last night said the movie was "Just OK" and that Deadshot and Harley Quinn were the best parts of the movie. But it was a little messy and at times boring. There are some really great parts to it that are worth seeing just like there are some parts that leave you underwhelmed. The editing could have been better in some places and the story more refined. Harley Quinn and Deadshot were the most enjoyable part of this film. Its worth seeing and not a complete waste of time. Just not an amazing movie.
So the average rating on RT is 5.2/10 which to me seems fair but a little low. Chris gave it a C and Jeremy about a B. I would say the movie is somewhere in-between.

The only one that might be applicable in the context of the plot is Deadshot getting to see his daughter again, because completing these tasks result in him getting to spend time with his daughter and very minor reductions from his sentences. Everyone else? No. How would killing Enchantress bring back El Diablo's family? Or Joker? It wouldn't. So how can you say those are plausible motivations within the plot of the film? Also yes, I thought Enchantress' motivation was laughable, and you didn't help, you essentially just said that she's evil for the sake of being evil.

Who cares. The scene where he's going nuts with a machine gun was one of the most craziest joker moments ive ever seen from a joker portrayal that scene really made you think "this is who the joker is".
That not entirely Leto's fault considering they shot a bunch of scenes with the joker but were ultimately cut from the final edit!
He's only got like 7 minutes of screen time and like 20 lines of dialogue... Can't really judge him yet

Hey RELAX guys...This movie is going to be good! Here's why:
Rotten tomatoes it's a joke, just look and compare the critics from
SuicideS. (31%) Ghostbusters (73%), Batman V Superman (27%) & Sharknado(82%)....
While nobody's talking about IMDB! It's very trustworthy, the ratings there are:
SuicideS. (7.9) Ghostbusters (5.4) Batman v Superman (6.9) & Sharknado (3.3), See? ...
And also the fact that Chris gave it a C to this movie doesn't surprise me because he's very demanding with movies, he's looking carefully the script, transitions,
scenarios and the shots and i totally respect that, that's the value from a movie in the end. But Jeremy, he enjoys watching movies and concentrate in having fun with them! (but of course he cares about the development)...
So, i'm pretty sure this is going to be pretty good!! :D

The problem I have with Stuckman is that he's that kind of critic that tries to be serious but fails miserably.
Like when he wrote the "improved version" of BvS, criticizing a movie and then having a version of an scene that is way too bad; a little bit hypocrite I feel.
It's not me or any of my fellow, genuine comic book fans I have to worry about. We'll make up our own minds after we see the movie, and we will be seeing this movie. The issue I take with critical reviews and grading/point systems is the high amount of influence they have on the mainstream audience. A series of bad reviews equals poor scoring equals potential loss at the box-office. Something needs to be seriously looked at in terms of sabotage reviews, look at the evidence: Ghostbusters 73% - BvS 27% I mean neither were spectacular (though I'll side w/BvS any day of the week and twice on Sunday) movies but how can there be a 46% difference between them? That is insane.
Rotten tomatoes is not a review site, it is an aggregate site of reviews. There is a difference, learn it.
Imdb is the most unreliable site ever because fanboys like you can rate movies before they even see it and most of the rating for the movies drop after a month.

THE BAD: Jarring editing and direction, there was no reason for Harley to be dressed the way she was, Joker barely showed up at all, Enchantress was boring, Incubus had really bad CGI, Boomerang had nothing to do, constant noise to keep the viewer's attention, Waller was just your typical government agent, these "villains" just became bland heroes in the last fight...
So maybe not 27% on RT, but 35%...
Harley was dressed like that to give people reasons to fap in theaters.

I disagreed with his opinion on The Amazing Spider-Man 1 since I wasn't a big fan of it. However, I did not come to the conclusion that he was paid to give that movie a positive review. I just accepted that different people can view the same movie in different ways.
