First time I've been shocked with a jeremy jahns rating. and I'm actually worried about the film now. I've been the biggest cheerleader for this movie and although I've seen loads of reviews helping me temper my expectations, I put A LOT of stock in jeremy jahns' opinions cos they usually line up with my own...but now...I'm genuinely worried that I'm not going to like this movie as much as I want to.

Noah Larose A stand alone Hawkeye movie could be great. When fraction wrote for the character it felt a bit like John wick. There's no end of the world senario or huge action set pieces, just a guy armed with a weapon invented during the paleolithic Era trying his dammedest to do the right thing. With a sharp script and a director who understands the character it could be great.
Well Zack Snyder does action better. Honestly I'm not a fan of him but I won't blame him for this movies problems. It's the studios who are just like:"PUT THIS IN IT! PUT THAT IN IT! PUT EVERYTHING IN IT!"

there was no where near the amount of destruction as there was in man of steel! most of the final fight with doomsday happens in an Abandoned dockyard (which batman clarifies) and batman fights superman in pretty much one single building! we saw how blocks being destroyed in man of steel I really can't take this review seriosly

You know, I said the same thing about Michael Bay, and then I learned something. The fanbase is what keeps both of them employed. Fanboys and fangirls will defend their film regardless of the fact that it could be the biggest piece of shit in cinema history. They don't care about how broken or flawed, or convoluted it is, as long as they see their favorite character do what they want on the big screen from what they see in the trailer, they will respect and defend their film, no matter what.
I liked batman in the movie. I don't read comics but i just saw a older batman who saw his old methods didn't work and changed. Comic book movies are not only for comic book readers. The movie has to be good as a movie and not as a adaptation of a comic book. Superman was interesting but got boring after a while for me.

The destruction was a problem for batman at first. At the end of the Vs Movie he learned that sometimes you enemy is just too powerful a force to keep the damage at near zero. There was a scene where batman was in the fight and just watched. There he realized.
To those getting BUTTHURT: He wanted to LOVE this movie. He like ALOT of things about it. But it also had things he didn't like, over this 2 and half hour movie. I personally don't like Jessie as Lex either. And the Doomsday does look dumb and rushed in there. The movie is NOT perfect. It's ok, average, good, overall enjoyable. But get off your high horse. It's not the most epic best movie of all time....sigh.

I think they shouldn't of put basically 3 story arcs in 1 movie. To me it's like Batman v Superman, The Death of Superman and the start of the Justice League all rolled together. If they just translated the story correctly into a live action movie then it would of probably been a somewhat better movie than what it is now. Besides that Batman warehouse scene. I really wasn't excited for this movie until I saw Sucker Punch. Then I realized that of the guy who directed that was directing Batman v Superman, I should be excited. I still like Sucker Punch more than Man of Steel, Watchmen, and 300. I have grown to really appreciate Watchmen and I think I'll end up liking this movie as well, albeit in a kind of Revenge of the Sith way. It's going to have awesome that I love, and crap that I hate.

This movie shoud of been chopped up into 3 movies: One with only Superman and Lex Luthor. Where Lex multiple times tricks Superman into these bad situations to make him look bad and sow distrust between the public and Superman. It ends with Superman finally winning the trust of the public and fighting Lex in the LexSuit. One with Batman, Robin, one of the of the suicide Batman villains, and the Joker. Its just Batman being Batman (taking down crime), putting in prison one of the villains and ends with the Joker killing Robin. Batman goes berserk and goes hunting for the Joker. He causes a new reign of terror that he has never started before in Gotham. He puts all of the suicide squad villains in prison in the process which lead to the Suicide Squad movie later on. His rampage goes to Metropolis where he finally clashes with Superman. They fight over their different ideologies (hope vs fear). The movie ends up more like the animated cross over of Batman and Superman. The Joker and Lex Luthor cleverly orchestrate the fight between the two in order to get rid of their " Super Hero" problems.

Noah Larose A stand alone Hawkeye movie could be great. When fraction wrote for the character it felt a bit like John wick. There's no end of the world senario or huge action set pieces, just a guy armed with a weapon invented during the paleolithic Era trying his dammedest to do the right thing. With a sharp script and a director who understands the character it could be great.

I liked batman in the movie. I don't read comics but i just saw a older batman who saw his old methods didn't work and changed. Comic book movies are not only for comic book readers. The movie has to be good as a movie and not as a adaptation of a comic book.

The destruction was a problem for batman at first. At the end of the Vs Movie he learned that sometimes you enemy is just too powerful a force to keep the damage at near zero. There was a scene where batman was in the fight and just watched. There he realized.

I think they shouldn't of put basically 3 story arcs in 1 movie. To me it's like Batman v Superman, The Death of Superman and the start of the Justice League all rolled together. So much destruction that it gets boring. But hey, I could be wrong. I went back and listened to that part of the review again.
This movie shoud of been chopped up into 3 movies:
One with only Superman and Lex Luthor. Where Lex multiple times tricks Superman into these bad situations to make him look bad and sow distrust between the public and Superman. It ends with Superman finally winning the trust of the public and fighting Lex in the LexSuit.
One with Batman, Robin, one of the of the suicide Batman villains, and the Joker. Its just Batman being Batman (taking down crime), putting in prison one of the villains and ends with the Joker killing Robin.
Batman goes berserk and goes hunting for the Joker. He causes a new reign of terror that he has never started before in Gotham. He puts all of the suicide squad villains in prison in the process which lead to the Suicide Squad movie later on. His rampage goes to Metropolis where he finally clashes with Superman. They fight over their different ideologies (hope vs fear). The movie ends up more like the animated cross over of Batman and Superman. The Joker and Lex Luthor cleverly orchestrate the fight between the two in order to get rid of their " Super Hero" problems.
That's only logical for 2 movies. One movie of pure character development? Uh, no.

Perhaps people are becoming wary of these "critics". I certainly am. I loved the movie and couldn't care less what the critics think the movie should be. You can tell that what these critics were looking for was a Marvel movie hence their reactions.
