  • Seems you guys love the electrostatic tech so here is another video we filmed with our head of R&D.
    If you would like a kit with everything required to replicate this process, including an SOP, support our work by purchasing a kit with this link: sambocreeck.com/products/stat...
    Static electricity can be used to separate particles by first tribo charging or polarizing particles and then separating them based on their polarity. This manual method uses screen printing nylon mesh to charge and sort particles. Afterward a glove, CD, or parchment paper, or similar method is polarized and used to separate trichomes from contaminants. This method can achieve a very pure hash and makes great rosin.

      @@SamboCreeckFiltration Go Go Go, I hope to meet you guys one day for sure, you are on the road to great work and I feel there is a certain ''legacy'' kind of feel which I am always looking for, could be wrong though. The thing is, after years of doing static among other kinds of hash making.
      I can say with honesty, this will always be something for the connoisseur, I don't think that even if weed is cultivated in every greenhouse around the world and an LB is 10 dollars or whatever (of course this is ultra unllikely, but just to paint a picture), even then people will going towards other forms like hash rosin or waterhash as opposed to static.
      Static holds a very special place in my heart because at the beginning of my journey years and years ago, I stumbled upon a batch of static made by what would become one of the best persons in the industry, this was purely by coincidence, I will never ever forget how sweet, how pure how good the taste and high was.

      Temp low, Humidity low basically if you could do this high up on a mountain with barely any vegitation and in the winter, it would be ideal.

      40-60 RH. Let us know what sweet spot works
      for you.

    • @revoltoff
      @revoltoff ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SamboCreeckFiltration I want to add that this is strain dependant, some strains have ''dry resin'' meaning the cellulose wall that seperates the inside contents of the head to the outside where it is exposed to elements is more dry and less sticky, then you have ''gritty'' kind of in between and then you have a full on stickyness.
      Playing with temps and humidity will be needed to find a sweetspot, sometimes you need to go to as low as 20% RH and a higher temp or lower temp, usually lower temp but surprisingly some strains, the cellulose layer is made up in a way where actually a temp below freezing will cause tearing.
      It really is an art to be honest as well, when do you stop for optimal flavor, just like harvesting time is also an art.

    • @revoltoff
      @revoltoff ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SamboCreeckFiltration Unless you are working with ultra dry resin (which you may depending on what you are growing/buying for the source material.) 60% is almost always too high BUT it is possible that you may need to pump it up to 60% if you are working with some strains. On white wookies for example I had to pump it up all the way to 65%!

    • @SamboCreeckFiltration
      @SamboCreeckFiltration  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting. I would add to “strain dependent” should read “chemistry dependent” because the charge possibly is based on chemical composition. Electrons move slower the colder they get, so much so that some particles lose charge when cold. In mining, we heat up the particle to get a fronted charge when using the roll separator. Now is the affinity for charge on the Trichome related to humidity or temperature? Or is it the interrelationship of both? How does chemistry affect that relationship? And does that relationship hold on all particles sizes? And why is that? 😅

    The question is What's making the charge the dominant terpenes - of a strain work in tandem with the cannabinoid content - the amount of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD), and other cannabinoids - to produce the effects people associate with this beautiful plant .

    • @revoltoff
      @revoltoff ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why spell out THC fully we know what you mean. Either way, I personally think alcohol volatiles and thiols play a major role, happy researching!

    • @SamboCreeckFiltration
      @SamboCreeckFiltration  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Chemistry plays a part for sure. But also the moisture content outside the cell wall, the geometric shape of the particle, and the roughness of the particle. Also, there is a balance of the charge which changes as the mass changes. Heads have more charge than stalks and large particles charge stronger than small particles. I’m making a video on what I had to learn to make this work. So far I’m at 28 variables we had to understand.

    And he would still be standing there rubbing away.
