Hi Max, you should mention that a Skilled Worker Diploma (IHK) could be the first step to become a Crafts master. That means, you will be allowed to start your own business and offer apprenticeship yourself! Crafts master are a high regarded non-academic profession!
As mentioned before: Crafts master are often much earlier to afford a Merc than their brighter playmates from the Kindergarten!

I'm curious, do ausbildung students have to study regular things like math, history, economics and such or are all of the theoretical studies specific to the profession?
Because I'm slowly planning to enroll in such a program, but the perspective to learn things I've already learned in school isn't appealing 😂 even though the program itself sounds great!
Only related subjects. The only non field related subject I had was ethics but it was a optional subject, you could choose not to take it. I would say that economics is a subject almost every Ausbildung has, but subjects like history and maths would only be taught in very specific Ausbildungen that specialize in those fields. I did a Fachinformatiker Ausbildung and had no maths, but if you study something electronics related you might have subject containing maths and physics. And I would say that a Ausbildung is generally easier than a Abitur, because you have more time for learning,and they have to accommodate every student with their different school backgrounds. In contrast to dual studies (I’m studying CS now) the Ausbildung was a walk in the park.

The thing is you don't get a bachelor's and that's a bit worrisome a bit especially in a country that cares about stuff like that anddddd the first month of going there is legit the hardest I mean it's nowhere near as f-ed up as blocked account which is in my opinion a discriminatory thing but idk should I go for it especially that I do not like my major here in my own country?

Todo an apprenticeship you only need a highschool exam... but you must have very good German understanding. Why? The craftsmaster and Trainer don't speak Englisch!

Hello, first of all I'm from Germany and I'm studying computer science in Germany.
The thing is, an apprenticeship (Ausbildung) is like a worse degree with a worse salary afterwards. But it depends on which apprenticeship you do exactly. There are better ones like bank clerk, but generally people who don't want to go to university and are happy to start their working life with a "poorer qualification" are looking for an apprenticeship.
However, the difference in the value of the qualification between Ausbildung and studing varies depending on the professional field. In my professional field (computer science) there is the "IT specialist" Ausbildung. As I said, this is like a poorer degree course and if you're unlucky you won't be taught important professional topics that you learn and learn better in a degree course.
It should also be noted that you can do an apprenticeship after the 10th grade. To study at university, you generally have to have completed your Abitur, i.e. have been at school until the 13th grade.
So if you have the opportunity to study a subject, the money and accommodation, as well as the will to do so, you should definitely do it and not be tempted to do an apprenticeship.

my 16 years old son will start his Ausbildung this year. after 3.5 years, he will get certified Elektroniker from IHK and working experience. this Ausbildung can be a stepstone to enter this corporation. the worldwide company looking for skilled workers and willing to offer high pay.

However, I had to catch up on my general higher education entrance qualification in order to attend one of the traditional technical universities. TU Braunschweig. Not easy to do, but I succeeded at least. My advice would be to acquire a university entrance qualification anyway! It is very sad if you are barred from higher education later on!

Just check your homecountry german embassy. From where I'm from the visa literally called "ausbildung visa" you just need to brought your german language certificate, your contract with the company who will trained you. Usually they will asked how much you earned, where is the training located, where u gonna live etc

@petersonchen9649 there is a threshold if I'mnit mistsken, 927 euro nett a month, if your training company paid u that much the embassy won't ask for blocked account, but if it was less than that they may ask u to provide a proof that you have enough money to covered the rest. But again, please check your german homecountry embassy's website for drtailed
@petersonchen9649 you will get your ausbildung visa IF you able to provide a statement that your company able to paid u certain amount that feasible for monthly budget. Here in my country, the German embassy asked for around 927 to 1000 euro a month. If the company paid u less than that they may asked u to provide a proof that u have an account that will covered the rest

You can apply to work there when u have a ausbildung in these fields or u can do a aubildung in these companys but it is kinda hard to get in there because u need really good grades and have a to speak fluent german
Be an interesting guy! Do something special,... have a skilled worker diploma + Uni Diploma. For example.
... . They love to hire young adults, not kids. Do something you can tell. To be a waiter or waitress... etc. is not really what they are interested in.
We have a grades inflation anyway. Do something special. Show endurance... :-) .

For example: I already was an electronic technician, that means I knew a lot of the stuff, but not on TU level,... but I could build electronic devices! I could earn a lot of money in short time! No need to do unskilled labor! I was allowed to use the equipment of the institute's workshops also! You are not allowed tho use that if unskilled!
