Good advice bro, you have to be dedicated and determined to make it here, it's not easy at all, and the language barrier makes things even harder.

German universities are nothing like US colleges. in Germany, universities expect their students to be grown-up enough to decide how they go about their studies. nobody is holding your hand. it is up to the individual student to organise their life and make sure they can keep up with classes and courses. there isn't much of individual tutoring.
depending on the subject and some arbitrary circumstances courses have test phases designed to sieve out the less capable students. this should be expected within the first four semesters.

No no no, let's not use this bullshit "nobody holds your hand" excuse for the fact that they don't fucking teach anything and just give vague useless assignments. And before you use the research focus excuse, the babbling professors have countless fraudulent papers.
And worth noting that maybe the hand holding is good given that US blows Germany out of the water in innovation.

Most bachelor’s courses are in German, you have to search really hard plus it might not be your desired course if you find any. Secondly studying in public university in Germany is tuition free.

Please check out the Global public health program at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. It's a bachelor's program.

Im STEM most students go into exam the exams to get the magic 4.0 to pass (it's a D).
    Everything beyond is plus.

100%, this is intentional as well to sift riff raff. The system is designed to ensure that those that graduate have put in the work.

Is this a trend specifically for undergraduate courses ? I am wondering if this trend persists even into masters programs.
