As a German Student myself I would like add often it might be quite difficult to get into a dual study program since positions are limited so bigger companies will only take the best. However even if you couldnt score a dual study position, there is allways the option of getting a working student position on the side. Practically its pretty much the same as being a dual student, with the added benefit that you arent as bound to the company.

Hey, corporate student here! Must say while it's more stressful than a standard University, it's also more diverse since you get to work in the company. And depending on your company, the pay is also quite good. I get around 1.3k€ after taxes which is certainly in the higher end and more than enough. As was already said in the video you should choose a bigger company and try to send as many applications out as it can be a but tricky to get a spot!
1) Do you get time to enjoy life , get vacations and tour other european countries while being in duales stadium? 2) After completing the degree , which will get me a more high paying job.. normal degree or duales stadium degree?
@aryannayan2591 I have 30 days of (paid) vacation which is pretty standard for most jobs in Germany. You can decide on your own whether that is enough or not (be aware that these are obviously working days so Saturday and Sunday are free regardless -> 6 weeks of vacation per year). I can only use these days while I'm working in the company, not during the actual semester which limits it a bit. If you are traveling alone this doesn't matter much though. As an addition I can work up to 3 weeks I think while staying in another EU country per year (I haven't tried this but theoretically this is also a way to enjoy some more vacation). Whether you can do this depends on your company though. As to the second question: This is hard to answer. I'd assume that pay-wise it makes little difference, maybe but just maybe you might have a better chance for a management position with a standard university degree. If you want to do a master after the bachelor it's easier with a standard degree since you might be a few credit points short with the Dual Studies. It is possible to get a master though. Some employers do prefer corporate students since they already have some experience working already. But I'm sure some also prefer "normal" students. In the end I'd choose what is more to your taste. The advantage certainly is that you get paid and don't have to rely on a loan or on your parents at all or way less. Hope this helps a little, if you got more questions just hand them over

In the Netherlands is also the political change talked about, to use Dutch first were possible and English 2nd etc. The importance of studying in the own language "balanced" with other languages. But also the quality of the study is important. But to give international students tax privileges before those from our own country is shifted to much at a disadvantage for Dutch students. Because of a revenue models by the schools.

Dual Study means Apprenticeship + Fachhochschule. Klassische Ausbildung means Apprenticeship. Non academic apprenticeship! You will get a skilled worker diploma, the first step to become a craftsmaster, run your own business and get a Merc earlier than your brighter plamates from the Kindergarten. :-)
To study in germany, you need a highschool level. We knew lower school level. Not everyone want to work only with there brain. Ausbildung is like learning by doing in a company and additional schoolclasses. So people are tought practical and interlectual. And..there is skways a way up...making a Ausbildung first and than go on...can make a lot of sence (language, basics). Studying in germany is not easy...you need to organize yourself. Listen to a youtuber is secoundhsnd learning...but I bribgs you udeas what to look for
So that is studying all about.....? In germany you do not attend classes (in the first years)...only pass the tests. If it is more fun to stzdy at home and do not meet other students ...you are free to do so. Or you could visit other courses....

@@Artidy. the basic requirements for all students are (1) high school graduation diploma (2) knowledge of the German language (at least level C1). The rest is just legal stuff, like health insurance etc. As far as I know, Indian students are also required to take a 1-year preparatory course in Studienkolleg before they can enroll at a university, but that might have changed. Best way to know this is to email your chosen university's admission office directly.

have a question. I am an American, who is learning German, and am 16, about to graduate. I want to study something along the lines of pharmaceutical chemistry. I love science and want to do something akin to research, perhaps specialing in autoimmune disorders. I also have interest in DNA. There's much too much to choose. I was wondering if dual studies is a good route for finding what type of scientific research i prefer the most, and would give me the proper experience needed to get a good job position after i graduate. Is there a program that allows for scientific exploration, even if its not dual studies? Advise requested.
Dual studies don't go that much into research, they focus on the practical application. Classic universities are good for a lot of theory-based studies and research :)

In india, we also have this option which is knowns as WILP(Work Integrated Learning Program) though, currently I'm doing the same thing. But when it comes to germany for masters, universities are rejecting my application because i did the same as dual studies. I don't see the relevance of it. Can you please enlighten me on this. I feel really depressed after getting so many rejections.

have a question. I am an American, who is learning German, and am 16, about to graduate. I want to study something along the lines of pharmaceutical chemistry. I love science and want to do something akin to research, perhaps specialing in autoimmune disorders. I also have interest in DNA. There's much too much to choose. I was wondering if dual studies is a good route for finding what type of scientific research i prefer the most, and would give me the proper experience needed to get a good job position after i graduate. Is there a program that allows for scientific exploration, even if its not dual studies? Advise requested.
Dual studies don't go that much into research, they focus on the practical application. Classic universities are good for a lot of theory-based studies and research :)

I had a question: I couldn't find any dual Ausbildung courses at the master's level. Most of the courses seem to be at the bachelor's level or for lower-level jobs. Considering someone already has a bachelor's degree and two years of work experience, would this program be a downgrade for them?

hello people 👋, I need some advice, I'm a 21 year old refugee in Germany I have a greek highschool diploma, recently I got the info that I'm not gonna be able to study in Germany with my diploma because it is not equivalent to the german abitur, and that I will have to do an extra year (studentkolleg), and I also got told that I can do an ausbildung and then apply for university, which way is better to take? and would the ausbildung be enough for the uni? like would the ausbildung be equivalent to abitur?
