    I'm almost 36, and some months ago it was the first day when I didn't just go to work (with the help of a loooooot of painkillers) but calling my work and said that I'm not able to come. And it felt like a relief. I just laid in bed this day, still with painkillers (but not as much as I would have needed for going to work) and my warm water bottle.
    Next day everything was fine (so it's just a one - or 2- day heart attack in my case 😅)

      If you divide 365 days a year by 28 days (4 weeks), you have what is called Period Accounting. 13 cycles per year.

Surely women don't exist who have cycles that are different from yours... unpredictable month-to-month, lasting for an unpredictable number of days, or unpredictable flows....it gets tiring and inexpensive changing and wearing pads just waiting for it to come. But yes, we should do our best to avoid having disgusting accidents and not free bleed everywhere

    • @osv1950
      @osv1950 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, @Rosalee. No, that's not completely correct. I'm a nurse and since a lot of years I've been studying the women's health and the prevention of strong mestrual pain, but I am also a teacher of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation. It is possible to compare only the "intensity" of the two pains, but heart pain and menstrual pain cannot be confused because they have very different characteristics: for this I said "that's not completely correct".
      However, the severe period pain is a very important problem, unfortunately very widespread, but never, never, never "normal" and a lot can be done to avoid it, by some easy methods to "prevent" the pain, instead of only "combat" it every time ... or to suffer as a heart attack! We can speak again, if you like, glad to help all suffering girls.

      Sounds like endometriosis. I just turn 35 and my period pain got so much worse along with not being able to become pregnant after years so went to Dr had surgery and have stage 2 endometriosis. Pain was almost gone for months I was like ohhh this is what normal women get. Then it came back. No cure for endometriosis unfortunately.

      You can (stop the pain). There’s a shot (been around a long time) you can get that will stop your periods for 6 months. Today I’m 78 and don’t know more information to give you about available birth control methods. I never wanted children so when I was, maybe, 20I told my (male) gynecologist I wanted “permanent “ birth control like a hysterectomy, he literally laughed and (somehow) made it perfectly clear to me that THAT was NEVER going to happen; without any regrets I never had children but did have 3 abortions because of our miserable draconian healthcare system; the first time I had sex (19 yo) I got pregnant when it was still illegal (1965) - it was a nightmare and I was one of the LUCKY women ! I’ve been so very grateful for having had the chance to make my own decisions about terminating an unwanted pregnancy and am livid about the current political climate that amounts to dragging all of us women back to the dreadful old days before pro-choice. I urge all women and men to keep choice legal and readily available to all women who need to make that very difficult decision regardless of the reason. Keepin’ it real. 🙆🏽

    God i recently transferred back to my hometown after 6 months of..."period paradise" in Lisbon where for some reason it didn't hurt, at all. And i came back here and i got my period cramps again but, i don't know, maybe I'm not used to them, but for some reason they hurt way more. Two days ago I was walking back from laboratory where I literally couldn't think because of the pain, the professor asked me if I was ok because I was white! And while walking back I almost fainted. It was so scary, but I couldn't miss laboratory, you can only miss if you're "actually" sick, and last time a girl said that she was staying home because of period cramps, so many people made fun of her, saying "oh she really is too weak, she just doesn't want to work". I don't understand, half of us are female, and half of females have period cramps, WHERE IS COMPASSION

      Aspirin also dilutes blood clots, and is given to heart attack victims immediately and as a preventative measure.
      I am over 60, but can still relate.

    I am a girl but speaking logically, heart attacks causes death(not all). Women do take everything too far(not all) like my boyfriend would talk with some girl then I would be furious like I had someone dying on me. Like I said mentioned, not all girls are like that but women do take things too far.

      They aren't necessarily talking about the effects, like death. They just mean the feeling of pain. But I'm not really sure what you were referencing so sorry if I misunderstood. :))

      If every other natural biological function (gas) gets a stage, why can’t menstruation? It is comedy gold! All of the best elements are there: Awkwardness, ignorance, unfairness, and embarrassment.
