first of all I love this, it's very much me, when my grandmother died at 62 my grandfather aside from a woman he dated very briefly stayed a widower for the rest of his life. he was without her for 22 years until he passed away
Sometimes you find the only one for you, and no one will ever capture your heart in the same way. My own grandparents wouldn't have found someone else, if it had been them.
