Glue or loc-tite the dowel pins in the barrel or jug to prevent them from lifting out and falling into the engine like mine did 🤣. Getting the squish clearance right is a crucial step for a reliable race engine. Not doing so results in power loss at operating temperatures at the least and since we all like to keep going in the race…. Cooked pistons->positive crank case pressure at the wrong time-> detonation-> premature failure. Never a bad idea to take your local machinist out for lunch occasionally 👍
Hi Matthew, love the videos! Can I ask for a favor? Can you half the volume of the intro, it wakes up the baby everytime one of your video starts to play from my playlist! Thanks.

From what I've heard you need to torque down to specs to get a true squish measurement
That would be true for a non o-ring gasket head since the gasket compresses. In my case, the head was metal to metal against the cylinder.
I learnt something I never seen this do you have to do that on every bike
Only if you want to squeeze a bit more performance out of it.
Excellent work buddy 👍
my cr 125 uses the metal shim cylinder head gasket. Am i ok to use an old gasket rather then wasting money on a new one to measure squish clearances?
I would say yes.
why didn't you put head o rings? they interfere with the squish measurement
No they don't, they squish down, so no point of installing them
@@HTMR ok, thanks!

LOL ok no prob
@@HTMR Thank you, it's perfect in the next video!
Keren bentuk nya pake kawat timah tinggal sesuai dengan piston
First comment. Love it. Thanks for the videos man
what thickness of solder?
Rosin core about 3/32" (.093")
@@HTMR Does it work if I have 3 mm wire?
will install vhm which will have squish size 1 mm.
Whats uuup???
What a waste of solder
it can still be used for soldering...
