Thank you. After 20 tries I finally defeated him thanks to the tip. And also for extra help for others: before you get his health in the middle. Go to settings and go to save on the mini boss, that will help if you die and you get tired do his full health.

I just beat the king finally, I struggled and I finally beat him, I used the raven bracers, waste guard, and used the troll mission chest guard, great video!!! That frosted axe does wonders!!!!

How do you get the blades' immolation meter full by the time you finish using all your runic attacks at the beginning?
Which difficulty are you playing on?
Show me no Mercy. I just realized I can equip the Memento of the Ailing enchantment and it'll help the meter charge faster.
@@Roilan_ yes you can do that. You can also add momentum to your attacks from the skill tree

And if you still can't win, try this, it's called the mid-boss checkpoint system is an accessibility option that players must manually enable in the options menu. To enable this feature, players must go to the options menu and head under the Accessibility tab. Then, choose "Combat," and players can select the option to enable "Miniboss checkpoints" there.

How do u get the things to come up at the bottom left of the screen that are black and white, like Soulless Warrior is one of them they are there for a few seconds and do the serious damage. I did manage to deflect him by using the shield i tapped L1 twice then pressed the triangle button followed by R2. Everything was so fast and the timing has to be perfect. I thought the Valkyrie Queen in the last game was tough Gee Whizz

so this boss is basically like Sigrun of previous GOW where his attacks are the combinations of all 12 berserker attacks who you have previously beaten to unlock this one , right ?
Yes, the berserkers are the valkyries in Ragnarok and you’re absolutely right - this guy has all the moves of the berserkers combined.

How do you go back and replay the fight with full armour?
You need to save manually before you fight Kraki. If you didn’t load an earlier autosave file
dude this 100% works i managed to get him halfway once but i failed because I forgot the stuff after him and now everytime i try and do it he jumps away an absolute nanosecond before im able to activate my runic and im honestly going crazy

He also has a red bifrost attack where he goes up in the air, charges up and does a blast. What do I do during this attack?
All red attacks need to be dodged. Wait for a bit when throws them and then dodge/ roll away
@@akhafasu You must throw your axe or spear in order to stop the attack, the damage area of that attack seems to be quite large not even sure if you can get away from it. Totally forgot that I could throw my weapon and stop it lol thanks for the reply!

This battle is all about understanding his attacks and attacking whenever you get the opportunity. You can try this:

Though it’ll take a little longer on No Mercy but the method should get his health down by a lot at the start
@@akhafasu oh yeah bro, don't get me wrong I love your breakdown and vids.. very helpful, but it SEEMS at give me no mercy and god of war the effect of soulless warrior is decreased by atleast half.. where u take off half his life in this vid only clears 2 bricks at most on no mercy.. If you’re playing on No Mercy then this should give you an idea of how to do decent damage at the start.
I finally defeated berserker king last night. After countless attempts. For me the berserker king was at a deep orange health bar level not yellow. So I had to find a way to level the playing field. After a lot of different combinations I tried Lunda’s chest piece armor. On every successful block or parry it deals bonus melee damage and poisons the enemy. That brings down his health bar to yellow temporarily. That’s when my hits dealt more damage. Also gauntlets and belts of radiance helped with last min dodges. The shield was a big factor for me. And yeah I had to up my parrying game. It was such a relief to finally beat him. LOL. 😂

I'm having trouble with those attacks that cover the entire ground. Bezerker stands right in front on me. Can't evade because I'm too close. Sheild strike does nothing so it cant be a blue. Doesnt show as red though. The only thing that seems to work is my own runic but it may be on cooldown. Playing on no mercy. About to finish them off and here it comes
Try the stone wall shield. Blocks all attacks upto 4 times except red. Then you need to shield smash by double tapping L1 to discharge

@@akhafasu Yeah I will but it's not a hard fight. That ground cover attack I was trying to figure out how to counter. That stonewall should do the trick. Once I complete the game. I'm going back with Freya poison. Have beaten a few Bezerkers with Atreus but Freya attacks are better imo.

So much has to go right for this strategy. Many times I've tried he somehow dodges back after my 2nd runic attack trying to get bifrost storm. Then with soulless warrior active I basically have to guess at which attack he's comin at me with, and ends up one shotting me lol

Once you learn his attacks, it not that really hard to look for an opening to get him. But I’m here if you require assistance
There are times when he attacks you through your runic attacks which is crazy because until now I thought once you attack an enemy with your runic attack they’re too stunned to counter attack you. But it’s quite inconsistent. Sometimes the berserker king would attack me through one of my runic attacks but sometimes he would be just stunned. Don’t know what makes the difference.
I had that exact loadout and followed those opening moves to a T and didn't do anywhere near that amount of initial damage. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Which difficulty are you playing on?
@@akhafasu The default - Give Me Balance. It could be that I'm just not timing the succession of Runic attacks correctly or hitting him with the right attack once I activated the realm shift. I get maybe two bars knocked off before the realm shift ends.
@@yablonowitz do you have the same stats as I do in the video? Also, did you add the mods to your skill tree?
@@akhafasu I'm level 9 and everything but the Njord's Tempest Runic attack is fully upgraded. I found that legendary chest late and was out of XP to get it to level iii (it's at level ii). As for the Mods - I kind of randomly assigned them on the skill tree. Is there a set up you prefer? I've been fighting this dude for three days and just can't get there with him.

Do you have to beat the game in order to fight the berserker king?
You can beat him once you defeat the other berserker gravestones. And one of them becomes available after you beat the game
I started fighting the king and the hardest difficulty and I changed it to give me story and that was three days ago and I finally beat him at one hit. I

right before he does his blue ringed attack, he shoots this explosion that travels on the ground. right before i decide to rush him with my shield i get caught.
On NG+?
@@akhafasu yes its the attack he does with two hammers and claps both of them together to cause an explosion.
@@akhafasu i just beat gna using your quick turn glitch and waited a while until she fell to her death lol. then i kept using the valkyrie shards to chip away at ther health until R3 popped up. then i restarted the check point and that was it.

Why does he do 2 elemental shields in my fights? One at half health and another at a quarter health.

@@akhafasu yes. all light runic attacks then activate immolation, then realm shift then r1 with blades while freya also attacking. what i dont have is surtr armor set (arm and waist) and the muspelheim force amulet. does that make the fault? thanks for responding man, appreciate it.

I have struggled 9 hours to beat Berserker King, of which 1 and a half hours were after watching your video guide. Unfortunately, a storm of Bifrost wasn't activated after three light runic attacks (like in your guide).
It seemed hard for me to be quick in pressing buttons, but sometimes I felt the game did everything it could to beat me, even cheating.
What does it mean 'RNG'? I hope I understood well. You said something like your strategy takes half of his health and the rest is 'RNG'.
RNG is when random stuff happens, like half the fight can go the way I show it but then he can do anything later on which will be random. If you’re still struggling to beat him, try this out:
