De Niro, who has an autistic child, comments on the decision to pull the anti-vaccination film “Vaxxed” from this year’s lineup, even though he says, “I think the movie is something that people should see,” and he questions statistics on vaccine-preventable diseases.

Thank you, Robert, for speaking out. My son received his first MMR vaccine and developed a high temperature. He was in obvious distress. I can't remember, but it took several days to get his temperature down. Little did we know at that time, the lasting damage that vaccine has caused. Our healthy & well developing 12 month old sons life changed. He stopped talking, no eye contact, and won't answer to his name or acknowledge you trying to get his attention, stop playing with siblings. He is now 2 years old, and it breaks my heart to think about his future, anxious is an understatement. If only we had been more informed of the risks. Hearing people deny the risks and shut down those who have experienced what my family has, its just wrong.

I had this happen to a friend's kid. She put the kid on detox protocol , I am not sure what exactly was used but it reversed the damage. He is a normal teenager now. Look into detoxification and possible gut healing diets that can help with detox. All is not lost. I am so sorry this has happened to you.

As a parent of an ASD child who's child "changed overnight" I resent being told how I should feel about vaccines. Most of the people who freak out about the issue haven't had a child hurt by vaccines.

The etymology of 'science' is from Latin 'scientia' which translates to 'knowledge'. Science is all about discovery, experiment, and, of course, knowledge. Pseudoscience (such as alt med) is all about authority, belief, and emotion, and at worst, money is the primary motive.
I know there is no mention of pseudoscience in your comment but the video is about another poor misguided soul defending pseudoscience. So that's why I point out the difference.

I can say for one I saw my kid change OVERNIGHT the next day after his baby vaccines. I brought it to my parents and friends attention and now he’s five and diagnosed and super beautiful and everything but there should definitely be more attention brought to this.
There is no proof that any vaccines cause autism.They might cause many reactions even death but none cause any type of Autism.

If I remember correctly, it took 10 years, after the side-effects were found out, that thalidomide /x-rays were banned from the US, when inEurope it was prohibited years earlier. His team analysed five brains of autistic people and found alarming levels of aluminium. Critics say it was only five brains with no controls. Exley counters with the point that there were only five brains available, and that they have studied 100 brains in the course of their research and so have a good idea of ordinary aluminium levels. Their expertise and experience tells them that there is def. a etiological argument to be made. However, they aren't given any funding to expand the knowledge. There does appear to be a possible mechanism. The aluminium in vaccines is there to stimulate the the immune system. It interacts with a type of cell that can cross the blood-brain barrier and deliver a large quantity aluminium in a short space of time, which may be a big factor in the development of some autism cases.
Aluminium is a known neurotoxin. Also, other experts in their field believe that it's highly likely that this adjuvant, which stimulates the immune system, may be harmful to those who already have a predisposition towards aggressive immune systems and it may lead to the development of autoimmune disease.
Now, I'm not saying it's definitely the case. I'm just saying that the funding should be made available and it shouldn't be taboo. But the fact that money is spent on propaganda to dismiss these early findings (and suppress funding) when it would be more scientific to actually fund the studies and find out for certain so we can either put the subject to bed, or make vaccines safer - well, I find that fact highly suspicious. It's almost like a certain group of people don't want to do proper science (and I personally believe that science should be devoid of preconceived notions and should have 100% focus on truth, no matter how unfashionable that truth might turn out to be).

Vaccines don't cause brain damage but some of the diseases they prevent do. Because of a stronger immune system thanks to vaccines mental retardations such as neurotypical personality disorder have decreased. Not getting vaccinated won't protect you for much longer because the UN is working on infectious vaccines. When tested on rats the vaccine did not only strengthen the immune system but it also increases neurogenesis and neuroplasticity. Human test subjects described synesthesia, increased curiosity, increased feelings of altruism and they did better on memory test.

I've been teaching for 25 years, I've seen such a frightening rise in "damaged " kids. Some folks say there aren't more autistic kids, we just have changed the criteria for diagnosis. Hogwash!!! The MMR has been found to be the trigger in autism. The increase of autism started when the three shots, Measles, Mumps and Rubella were combined to create the MMR, 1 year vax shot. When taken individually the risk is reduced, heavily reduced! I worked in the nursing industry and Disabilities field for many years prior to having my son. He was developmentally normal hitting each milestone on time until he had his MMR. Overnight he changed and was unable to spoon feed himself, stopped talking, gave no eye contact, did not respond to his name and foods he once loved he refused to eat, all signs of autism. I have been called a crack pot and a liar. I know the truth and one day so will the rest of the world, l hope it’s one day soon and l am alive to see it.

Even though this is an old interview, just seeing it now, I'm happy that he spoke up at the time, even though he's not comfortable doing interviews normally. But considering his child is autistic, obviously he's passionate, he wants answers like so many others. What he says makes total sense, I have life threatening allergies now and can't take vaccines. And now more than even serious allergies and other reactions are on the rise. I don't under understand why this is not understood, especially by doctors.
I've seen the film, it's excellent and focuses on the children and the parents. They deserve a voice and often they are silenced throughout their hellish ordeal. This is all I know my son was fine, until he was given the vaccine. My baby was normal he was happy baby! About a couple weeks after the vaccines my babys whole personality changed! Everything! I would like to know more because my granddaughter was doing ok and at 7months i saw signs me and her mother was wondering what what happened when she got her VACCINE at 6months and we keep asking our family doctor what is wrong and he said nothing is wrong and at 18months she's diagnosed with Autism now we lost her mother 1year and 7months now Wednesday 20th may and im taking care of her so can you help me to understand what really happened i would like to know and what can be done about it
