It's definitely some sort of strategy. Odd that their sports watches are on short supply unless they are doing it on purpose which i too feel they are.... As you said, strategy.
Personally, I prefer the oyster bracelet, but I have a feeling the jubilee is more practical in that the smaller polished center links are not going to scratch so easy. That's likely why Rolex went to the jubilee.
One other very significant difference you forgot to mention between the old Batman and the new Batman is the old Batman has the Rolex Crown laser engraved on the crystal at 6:00 o’clock. It is almost impossible to see with the naked eye unless you have great vision and catch it in the light the right way. Using a loupe you most definitely can see it. This I believe was also created by Rolex to help distinguish between fakes. Take a look at you old Batman and let me know what you think. Personally I love my Batman with the oyster bracelet. Just bought one a couple of months ago. Great video by the way.

I tried the New GMT at an AD there in Nakano, Tokyo. With the jubilee bracelet, it looks so handsome! It’s like wearing a submariner and a datejust at the same time!

Now at 30 years marraid, we are giving them to the kids and will replace mine with a GRNR and hers with a 36mm Platinum day-date. She has hers and I am trying to get mine...proving more difficult unless I want to pay nearly double at a gray dealor.

It still looks a little disproportionate with theSuper Jubilee bracelet (off the wrist). HUGE size difference. You can see the obvious mistake Rolex made with the older Super Oyster case.... I say the jubilee bracelet doesn’t go with the blue black sporty color. It’s too blingy but it looks better on the Pepsi
Milo Ren I find it to be the opposite... the jubilee makes the watch much more versatile IMO. Flashier yes, but for me personally, it proves the Pepsi colours to be a bit too dry for the jubilee bracelet, whereas the blue and black pops a lot more in comparison
I'm in the small camp of people who think the BLNR looks better on jubilee. I don't know, it's hard to describe why. I'm not a fan of PCLs, yet somehow the polished bits on the jubilee works for me. On the oyster bracelet, it just looks like a finger print and scratch magnet. I would love to add a 126710 BLNR to my 114060 and 116000 - would make one hell of a Rolex trilogy!
Ehh Jubilee probably little more comfortable everyday and in hot weather. Moreover, If you work business casual and like to relax on weekends you can get a touch more elegance and casual all in one. Probably a lot less of a scratch magnet as well. That being said it's not like you can make a bad decision here.. At the end of the day I'd probably go with the newer jubilee.
On mines, i also noticed the saphire glass it a bit outside of the case on the new one, and that the platinum treatment on the number and the arrow is also more "grainy" on the new one.
I agree, so I asked an AD (not mine, but within driving distance) for it in August and got it in October. It's awesome and so glad I got it on jubilee.
The jubilee is just money. I like the GMT on the jubilee so much better. The only one I like better on the oyster is the 2 tone (the root beer is better on that oyster).

iT is so aggravating not being able to buy the watch you coveting even if you have the money. and what aggravates me even more is that when you try to buy one at your local AD they say that they would rather sell it to a client who already spent 75,000 dollars to avoid people from flipping it like the person who already spent 75k is not gonna do that. That's where we are at nowadays with the Rolex Brand.
A huge difference in the two movements. The new 3285 movement uses ceramic bearings for the rotor. This has always been a weak point in Rolex movements.. Rolex is finally up to industry standards but not anything more than that. Average movement. The old 3185 Rolex movement was outdated 6 years ago yet Rolex keeps using it in the Submariner. The new BLNR 2.0 is a rock star and the pictures don’t do it justice. The way the jubilee transitions into the case is perfection.

I’ve fully winded my Batman gmt master 2 newer version and it does not last 70 hours power reserve. Any ideas on why this is?
