I’m a filmmaker at ASU (in addition to my own independent work) and James Turrell has partnered with our university’s art and design school, so we were given very rare access to visit and make this piece because of that partnership.
There were supposed to be $2000/night cabins...are they rentable? I'm glad you were wearing masks to keep yourselves safe in the middle of the desert in a massive indoor/outdoor complex! 😂😅😅
One of my absolute life goals is to see the Roden Crater in person. I hope James Turrell can see his ultimate artwork to the end in his lifetime

Yea try finding a video of someone just walking around filming other areas...the complex is supposed to be massive and they barely show one area.

I think the missing Big Picture and interconnectivity in this video does not give the viewer the robust feeling the magnificent creation deserves.
