- My team and I had exclusive access to the new South Space of James Turrell's masterwork (and work-in-progress) Roden Crater.
This piece was created exclusively for Arizona State University, in partnership with the Skystone Foundation.

I got to experience Turrell's work at the Guggenheim but Roden is next level.

How does one get invited to Roden?? I have camped right next to the cinder cone when I was a resident of Flagstaff but had no idea it was... this!
I’m a filmmaker at ASU (in addition to my own independent work) and James Turrell has partnered with our university’s art and design school, so we were given very rare access to visit and make this piece because of that partnership.
Did you meet James? Curious about a person who would create something so interesting and not allow the public to enjoy it
There were supposed to be $2000/night cabins...are they rentable? I'm glad you were wearing masks to keep yourselves safe in the middle of the desert in a massive indoor/outdoor complex! 😂😅😅
Yea try finding a video of someone just walking around filming other areas...the complex is supposed to be massive and they barely show one area.
