      Brian, I have always been a fan and help support this movement but I’m just a little unsure now.. mostly about how much is spoken about faith in your vids but then stuff like this goes down behind the scenes.
      That kid got completely bullied and taken advantage of over deception and greed. You are the adult and this falls on you to make it right.
      Sorry brother but that’s the cold hard truth.

      The Deegans are just pawns of Yamaha and do what ever has to be done to keep the cash cow. Brendan played within the rules, but showed, the powers to be are really running the show. As George Carlin would say “And you aren’t part of it”.

    Bike claim= pay up get the bike that simple. I don’t believe Brian Deegan should’ve called up star racing and let them call Canada Yamaha and threaten this kids sponsorship with Yamaha. That’s why he didn’t go through with the claim which is so bs. The kid should 100% be in Possession of haidens bike. Simple as this, don’t bring a factory pro bike to a amateur race were someone can claim it. Definitely unsubscribing due to Brian deegans actions not haidens.

    I have been following you guys for the past couple of years and until last week was really looking forward to Haiden turning pro. That's all gone now and it isn't because of Haiden. Brian, What I really would like to know is how do you feel about ruining any hopes and dreams that an unknown B rider had yanked out from under him. I mean, we're talking about a B class rider! All they have are hopes and dreams. Were you really worried about this young man damaging Haiden's or your reputation? I don't think that young man could've damaged you and your kingdom any at all. I still look forward to watching Haiden just will no longer be following your Youube channel.

    I watched an interview with the kid that made the claim. Please comment on Yamaha USA putting pressure on that kid's sponsor Yamaha dealership. Yamaha USA told that dealer if the kid follows through on the claim Yamaha USA would no longer supply bikes to that dealership. WOW talk about pressure on a 17 year old kid. He was forced to drop the claim otherwise he loses his sponsorship and that dealership has to close its doors forever. I am not saying the Deegan's wanted this to happen but that is some shady stuff. The kid was also saying that Haiden kept asking over and over who was behind him wanting to claim the bike. It looks like there was something to hide by not wanting someone else to have the bike. The claim is a rule, and the kid would of had bought the bike if Yamaha USA didn't put pressure on his sponsor. I am a Haiden fan and not saying the Deegan's are the ones putting the screws to the other kid but overall this doesn't look good.

  • @Ernest20071
    @Ernest20071 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Haiden is fast and has a bright future but your making excuses. A claim is a claim. If I ran our quarter horse in a race with claiming rules I wouldn’t put a $100,000 horse in it unless I expected it to be taken. Hand the bike over wash your hands get another star bike and move on.

    • @nathanbourland5133
      @nathanbourland5133 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      All things considered, this was Yamaha that put Haiden and the Deegan name in this position. Haiden is currently a factory amateur racer..he races the bike the factory tells him to. That said, he's out at the ranch on a Works bike..claiming rules apply. It was YAMAHA that didn't want THEIR 50k+ Works bike claimed.. The way Yamaha handled that by threatening this kids main sponsor (a Yamaha dealer) was shitty, and that tarnishes the Deegan brand as though the rules don't apply to them, because they are Deegans. So now it looks like they "got away" with something. The rule is simple, pay double the MSRP and that bike is yours, or the rider gets suspended for a year. I don't want to see Haiden suspended, OR his name tarnished... this was YAMAHAs f-up having him on a Works bike, and it is they who should take 100% of the blame for any ill feelings involved with this. The Deegans aren't gonna come out and say this about their factory ride...but I can..

  • @willh1082
    @willh1082 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I can't believe they left the comments up for this video. The amount of hero worshiping happening with the deegans is incredible. The reality is they went to an amateur race with a factory bike and got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. When that happened they (the whole star/ yamaha/ Deegan camp) used their power to bully the kid out of the claim and then on top of cause him to lose his sponsors. You're fooling yourselves if you think it's as simple as brian made it seem on this video, remember, he puts out what he wants you to see.

  • @johnnykovich9338
    @johnnykovich9338 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Yea its all good and let's move on, sure because u got your way. The kid wanted to ride a factory bike. Maybe the rules need changing but until then the kid bought it and then got bullied out of it. Make the rule triple msrp. Or eliminate it completely.

  • @shutyomouf2596
    @shutyomouf2596 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    First, let me say, I am a huge fan of the Deegans, I really admire and have so much respect for all of them, which also made this whole incident really disappointing.
    Its unreal reading all of the comments about how, of course Yamaha doesnt want to hand a bike over that they have spent hundreds of hours building and testing. People seem so ignorant, or just dont take the time to think about it. The WHOLE reason the claim rule exists is so people DONT bring bikes that have had hundreds of hours of building and testing, to an Amateur race, to make the field more level. Somehow, people dont understand something so simple.
    Yamaha should have NEVER brought a bike to the track that they werent prepared to get claimed, its just so dumb, a serious mistake on their part. With Haiden being so popular, and running the lap times he was, I would be real surprised if it wasnt claimed.
    This rider that made the claim should have never been in an office being drilled by adults about why he wanted the bike, without his parents there, its just wrong, and it was disappointing that when Brian saw this, he didn't put a stop to it, I am sure he would never want Haiden in the same position. The rider that put in the claim doesn't have to explain why he wants it, or what he plans to do with it, or where he got the money, to anyone, its no ones business, unless he wants to explain. It was so wrong the way he was questioned, he had the right to it, according to the rules, and if he wants to run it off a cliff, or sell it on Ebay, or set it on fire, thats 100% his choice.
    People complain saying its a stupid rule, you don't bring that up after an incident, if you don't like the rules, don't race, if you do race, abide by the rules, and if you want the rule changed, work on it, outside of an incident. If you get caught, pay the price. I really admire how Brian and the Mrs do so much to raise their kids right, but in this situation I would have expected Brian to show Haiden that when your caught, you pay the price, and do the right thing, you abide by the rules, not that you use your backing, support, and power, to get around rules that apply to everyone.
    Yamaha really messed up by bringing a bike to race that they had so much invested in, and its obvious thats the case. It was really dumb to run a bike that has special parts, or tens of thousands of dollars invested when there's a claim rule, and they gambled with the rules and took a risk, and lost, and then refused to pay the price for their actions.
    I mainly blame Yamaha for bringing a bike they cant risk losing to race in a race with the claim rule, but the way this mess was handled by Yamaha, RacerX, AMA, and even Brian, was just wrong, and really disappointing, they made a huge mistake and instead of just paying the price, they used their power to get out of it, like the rules don't apply to them. I am firm believer in that when you F up, its better to just pay the price, get past it, and move on, rather than weasel your way out of it but this is a major F up by Yamaha and would have been a hefty price to pay.
    The worst part is, after the bike is given back to Yamaha and the Deegans, this can never be fixed, ever. There is good that will come out of this though, you won't see any high dollar Factory bikes in amateur races that have this claim rule again, they wont gamble, and take this risk again, which is a good thing.
    Haiden could of ran a stock bike and still won, hes that good, and if it got claimed you could just laugh at the rider wasting his money on a claim.

    • @cknorris3644
      @cknorris3644 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its a douche move and and an unspoken rule that you just don't be a douche. That's why you've never seen it done before. It's not just about the money and a factory team could care less about the actual bike value. Racing is a competitive sport and everyone has their own recipe for winning so of course you wouldn't want your trade secrets out there. Hell even if the edge is just in the tune why should anyone have access to the tune you've spent 1000's of hours to perfect?

    • @shutyomouf2596
      @shutyomouf2596 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cknorris3644 It has been done before, and it has also been done in auto racing, but who cares what has been done before. Your missing the whole point of the rule, you don't bring a bike that has "trade secrets", you don't bring a bike that has thousands of hours in it, to a race that has the claim rule, that's just dumb, and Yamaha gambled with it, it was a bad move but even worse was how it was handled afterwards. If you don't like the rule, don't race, if you do race, expect to follow the rules, its quite simple. I guarantee you that the majority of the riders in amateur racing, want this rule, but its the few people with unlimited funds and teams of people doing R&D that don't want the rule, understandably. Of course there should never be a rule like this in the Pros, but this is amateur racing where to many people, it makes sense.

  • @thomasb1033
    @thomasb1033 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It doesn’t matter if you had more races on it or not, or sentimental value or not, an AMA rule is an AMA rule, or the fact it had secret parts in it. Then you shouldn’t have had those parts in it. However, once again, power prevails when you threaten people. Sad.

    I think the whole claiming a bike rule is lame! If you want a fast bike then go buy a bike, take it to a motor builder and give him $10k and say I want this thing to scream! Don’t take another riders bike because you wanna ride it on your TH-cam channel! You can get graphics and everything else to make your bike look just like Deegans! If you are jealous then go train your ass off like Haiden and get yourself a ride from one of the big teams! I just think the whole thing was lame to begin with! Get rid of that stupid rule! All it does is create drama at the amateur races! With the moto dads, there should be enough drama for everyone to enjoy! Go watch the 50 class! 200 protests after just one moto! Dads fighting with other dads because their kid beat so and so’s kid! The Deegans are a great family! Like I said before, Haiden doesn’t work on the motors! He doesn’t work on the bike at all! Star Yamaha provides him a bike and tells him to go win. That’s what the kid does! WIN! He also busts his ass training! You can’t buy talent or speed! You work day in and day out like Haiden does! And all you Haters always need some drama to latch onto! Go somewhere else and hate! IMO the Deegan family is great! Except Hudson, he’s a work in progress! 🤣🤣🤣 Just kidding Huck! 👍🏻👍🏻🤣🤣

I was born with the Slow Gene and as a life time novice its just awesome no matter how you see it. Haden's is good for the sport and nobody loves the sport more than that family.

      Ok, evidently I'm a lucky winner of a prize for my comment. Let me be clear with another comment here, not sure who ever is up to what ever. I'm am anxious to watch Haiden enter into the pro ranks and dominate! I am bummed to see his father, who's name and the word controversy, have always been a thing. Haiden will do positive things for the sport. He's has respect that his father never had. I'd hate to see Brian tromping around through Haiden's career leaving a wake of destruction behind. Focus on Huck and don't ever threaten to claim another riders bike again hypocrite! OR stay home and take care of your wife, watch TV, cut the lawn, what ever.

      Grade A low life Brian Deegan is.

  • @Jsuzuki16
    @Jsuzuki16 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Who cares what he wanted to do with the bike. It's an AMA rule. When you show up, you follow their rules no? Also why would you care if he monotizes the content from the bike. Haiden ends every video with "shop deegan 38", this chanel is monotized, and you use your follower count every time you discuss sponsorships. That's the game. It's not the kid who claimed the bikes responsibility to worry about what Haiden will ride the next 3 races. Or if it's his last amateur bike. All of what you said is irrelevant and you all look like chumps for bullying a 17 year old kid.

    Claim should be made, bike pulled by AMA and handed over. Period, done deal.
    Look at circle track racing, engines get claimed and handed over.

Shocking behavior from yourself nothin to do with Haden but what you and the team did was 100% wrong
