I feel like Krauser is the Wesker in RE4 in terms of gameplay. He's unique with his arm like how Wesker could dash in RE5. Almost nothing weak about him.
Yeah, he would've been interesting in RE5 Versus, as his arm has a cooldown in RE4 of around 45 seconds and has limited range, it could've been pretty balanced in RE5.
Decided to do him instead of tomorrow lol, but Krauser is pretty damn easy to use with your strategies, I never really know how to use his bow and his arm must be used at the perfect time. Thank you man, I am just 2 more away for the handcannon. ^^
If krauser had his custom TMP and the explosive arrows from story mode, he would have been the most overpowered mercenary in the game. And the first time I ever played the waterworld stage, the Super Salvador scared the life out of me. Imagine encountering him in story mode as a surprise mini boss.

Can you do wesker next? He does not get any ammo from the start, magnum and sniper ammo is really rare and his handgun is too weak. Im always getting a hard time playing as him, especially dealing with bosses. Also, thanks for the krauser guide, really helpfull

You're very welcome. I have guides for every character, and I also have a scoring guide to help you understand how to get points in the most efficient way. And I have plenty of high score runs and challenge runs to show how it all works in practice.
Most likely my absolute favorite. The gameplay of Resident Evil 4 itself is unique as it is, but Krauser adds another layer to it. And just like how the rest of the game plays, killing enemies becomes satisfying as hell when you learn how to use it
Surprisingly I was having major issues with Krauser on village, I’m on ps3 version and sometimes the villagers take 2 head shots and that reload cancel doesn’t seem to work the best on console but I eventually got it. I’m not getting any world records I’m just trying to get the magnum lol. Leon took me about 3 days to do with multiple fails until I found your channel, and even then I got water worlds 5 star with 60050 😅 but tbh after using ada and getting 5 stars with her in 1 day ( that sniper is so op ) Leon still holds all my high scores 75000ish and I finally beat village with krauser but man...that bow just shoots so slow and if you miss a shot on the chainsaw sisters you have no time to react and get wrecked lol. I’m having the worst luck with where I spawn at from the start and don’t feel like resetting a million times but I’ve been managing to pull off 5 stars just from using a few tips and tricks from these videos with my own spin on it. So thanks for all the help. Tbh that Leon castle (going Up and down the stairs and staying there after you’re set up With supplies) did not work for me and I was having major issues with extremely slow spawns and wasting time going up and down without any spawning But I just opened the main door to fight the second big guy ( idk how to spell their name lol ) and stayed around there so archers couldn’t get me and the spawns were extremely fast.
Glad to know my guides are helping. As for Castle, it may be because you haven't killed the guys at the start, so while waiting on them to reach you the stair spawns will be slow as you can only have 10 enemies at a time. But going all the way down the stairs and all the way back up should yield consistent spawns, along with going through the door. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what strategy you use, just so long as it works.

For me, Krauser is the most difficult to get good scores with. im still practicing though, i want to learn how to do things in quick time so i dont waste time. A bit late since this is at least a year old, but when describing Krauser’s traits like fastest running speed and powerful melee, you forgot to mention (though I think it goes without saying) that out of all the Mercs he’s the only one with a max capacity health bar. I think Leon is the second most resilient after him, then Hunk, then Wesker and Ada is the weakest, but at least she’s second fastest after Krauser. And Ada IMO has the best arsenal in the game even better than Wesker since she consistently gets flame grenades, TMP and Rifle ammo. And worse case scenario her Punisher handgun can pierce, so you can not only deal with shield bearers in a clutch situation but still manage and stun groups or pairs of ganado and keep the combo with collateral pericing shots, and/or hit that flame barrel and not worry about your line of fire being blocked by enemies. Also maybe it’s just a hunch on my part but her butterfly kick head stun melee, feels like it crits more often than not. Maybe it’s just me. How would you rank the merc characters? It’s easy to say, Krauser is the best, but I think the discussion can be more nuanced than that. Lots of pros and cons for each of them. But anyway I like these unique physical traits for each character, instead of making them all homogeneous with only weapons/melee differentiating them.(like in RE5) It adds more depth to the mini game, and how you can dedicate your play style and time by becoming a character specialist with both their strengths and weaknesses in mind. Like with Ada, the character teaches you to avoid taking any amount of damage. Helping you perfect your gameplay, which you can carry over to other characters.
I just didn't feel it was worth mentioning his health bar. It depends how you view the "best" arsenal, as there's the best for people trying to get 60k; and then there's the best for high scores. In terms of high scores for each stage, which is the world I reside in really, Wesker is king on all maps. Krauser only seems to consistently be the best character on the VR version, though he is certainly the most user friendly for new players attempting to unlock the handcannon. And I too like the variation; the only unique character in RE5 is Wesker as his dash and knee cannon can be used; it's also why I like Mercenaries 3D so much, as you can change weapon loadouts and skill buffs for each character.
While I considered Krauser the strongest character in og mercenaries, I for some reason think the opposite in the remake. Idk maybe I just suck but I can never seem to get consistent S+ with him.
Perhaps you're playing him wrong, as all the Remake characters are equally strong. Krauser is only the "worst" in the remake when it comes to point gain for high scores due to the way Mayhem points work in the game.
Sarco I am really facing difficulties in the base map I completed Ada and hunk and wesker and even krauser except for the base map I always run out of time they are very far from each other and each one is 30 seconds. I know that this is an old video but I hope you recognize my comment and answer
Playing on the wii version It feels like they nerferd krauser quite a bit since head shots aren't popping them off instantly and most of the time takes two arrows to kill, head and body. Which is odd since i've seen people play on the other versions with little to no trouble. (so far this was just on village I'll see if it keeps up the rest of the levels)
Krauser is at his best on Wii; and the headshots come down to the health value of the Ganados, as on Village they are either 10 or 12 (excluding the Bella Sisters) and Krauser's arrows only deal 10 damage. I have a recent guide on enemy health values uploaded.

I,ve heard of cheap but i don't think he's that kind of cheap lol but he,s actually not that bad to use when it comes to online just think of him as a.....boss character for the time being.
Jack krauser is fast 💨 compared to ada 2 speed characters but when it comes to skills krauser is the experience better than ada expect the bow & arrow the difference is ada is smart but jack krauser is a better archery 🏹 than ada jack krauser doesn’t need a sinper rlife he’s too good for that.

@@dopamine3255 Well, all we know from the OG timeline is that Krauser was part of the US STRATCOM with Leon, and was injured on their first mission together when trying to capture Javier Hidalgo (Operation Javier). Krauser's injured arm meant he couldn't be an agent anymore, and his encounters with the T-Veronica virus inspired him to seek out Wesker, leading to him working for him come RE4.

En play2 hay menos enemigos en la base y mundo acuatico. El problema principal del play2 es que solo puede haber 8 enemigos en la pantalla, pero en las otras versiones pueden haber 10.
So, do I just have shitty luck or are my mercenaries' enemies just sponges? I literally put 12 arrows into the skull of a Ganado, and they still lived. All I need is Village for Krauser, all 4 with hunk, and castle, water world? and base with Leon. I'm guessing I have a version of Welcome to hell mode for village with Krauser. No matter what I do I can't get five stars since my I-frames never work, or a Ganado in-front of me throws his/her hatchet at me every time they pull it out. They can also be dumbasses as well, ya want to know how? On my 56k run (which is the highest I can get currently) I had five Ganados just standing in front of the tower while I was on the other side of the village.
I doubt you put 12 arrows into the skull of a Ganado and they lived, certainly not on Village, they can only tank 1 if they're lucky, the second will always kill unless it's a Bella Sister. What version are you playing?
@@AetherWolff94 So that's basically the same port as the one I recorded this video with (with slight variations in enemy aggression if I remember correctly). So, no way any Ganado is tanking 12 arrows to the head. The Ganados standing around was probably because it's Krauser. His bow doesn't make noise like guns do, so they need to actively see you to approach you.
In all honesty, RE4 VR waterworld was the hardest to get 125k because the normal enemies wouldnt spawn fast enough to keep a combo going lol, but super salvador was just overall underwhelming with all the characters
I just finished him and Leon 5 🌟. Now I have ada hunk and Wesker left. It's funny I hated this game in the beginning but now I love it. I just thought it was kind of races at first seeing that all you're doing is just killing normal Mexicans because it's all in Leon's head.
Um... it's not all in Leon's head. And I think you might be the racist if you think Mexicans live in Spain, given that the game itself tells you it's set in Europe.

Not the only one, but it isn't a fair assessment, given that once you know how to aim consistently and quickly with it, it's almost always a one-hit kill if you hit their head.
I actually really struggled with Krauser in the village, he can one shot the bella sisters, but it felt like his “arm” animation took forever which often got me killed. 🥲

It has better range but that's actually the only difference.

You're not crossing the spawn lines enough. Check my VR Mercs guide for a brief spawn guide for all maps.

Playing on the wii version It feels like they nerferd krauser quite a bit since head shots aren't popping them off instantly and most of the time takes two arrows to kill, head and body. Which is odd since i've seen people play on the other versions with little to no trouble. (so far this was just on village I'll see if it keeps up the rest of the levels)
Krauser is at his best on Wii; and the headshots come down to the health value of the Ganados, as on Village they are either 10 or 12 (excluding the Bella Sisters) and Krauser's arrows only deal 10 damage.

yeah the other maps were a blast to play as him, especially castle since it feels like an endless onslaught. village was the one giving me a hard time since I got extremally unlucky with getting 3 headshots on the group and not a single death blow XD

I,ve heard of cheap but i don't think he's that kind of cheap lol but he,s actually not that bad to use when it comes to online just think of him as a.....boss character for the time being.
Jack krauser is fast 💨 compared to ada 2 speed characters but when it comes to skills krauser is the experience better than ada expect the bow & arrow the difference is ada is smart but jack krauser is a better archery 🏹 than ada jack krauser doesn’t need a sinper rlife he’s too good for that.

Well, RE4 doesn't have online. But if it did, he'd be akin to RE5 Wesker in threat level I think.

@@dopamine3255 Well, all we know from the OG timeline is that Krauser was part of the US STRATCOM with Leon, and was injured on their first mission together when trying to capture Javier Hidalgo (Operation Javier). Krauser's injured arm meant he couldn't be an agent anymore, and his encounters with the T-Veronica virus inspired him to seek out Wesker, leading to him working for him come RE4.

En play2 hay menos enemigos en la base y mundo acuatico. El problema principal del play2 es que solo puede haber 8 enemigos en la pantalla, pero en las otras versiones pueden haber 10.

So, do I just have shitty luck or are my mercenaries' enemies just sponges? I literally put 12 arrows into the skull of a Ganado, and they still lived. All I need is Village for Krauser, all 4 with hunk, and castle, water world? and base with Leon. I'm guessing I have a version of Welcome to hell mode for village with Krauser. No matter what I do I can't get five stars since my I-frames never work, or a Ganado in-front of me throws his/her hatchet at me every time they pull it out. They can also be dumbasses as well, ya want to know how? On my 56k run (which is the highest I can get currently) I had five Ganados just standing in front of the tower while I was on the other side of the village.
I doubt you put 12 arrows into the skull of a Ganado and they lived, certainly not on Village, they can only tank 1 if they're lucky, the second will always kill unless it's a Bella Sister.
What version are you playing?

@@AetherWolff94 So that's basically the same port as the one I recorded this video with (with slight variations in enemy aggression if I remember correctly).
So, no way any Ganado is tanking 12 arrows to the head.
The Ganados standing around was probably because it's Krauser. His bow doesn't make noise like guns do, so they need to actively see you to approach you.
In all honesty, RE4 VR waterworld was the hardest to get 125k because the normal enemies wouldnt spawn fast enough to keep a combo going lol, but super salvador was just overall underwhelming with all the characters
If they weren't spawning fast enough then that's your fault, all it means is you weren't crossing the spawn lines correctly.

I got 5 stars in all maps with leon but still i didn't get with other characters

Mercenaries isn't too tricky if all you want is the handcannon. World Records are different though
I just finished him and Leon 5 🌟. Now I have ada hunk and Wesker left. It's funny I hated this game in the beginning but now I love it. I just thought it was kind of races at first seeing that all you're doing is just killing normal Mexicans because it's all in Leon's head.
Um... it's not all in Leon's head. And I think you might be the racist if you think Mexicans live in Spain, given that the game itself tells you it's set in Europe.

I cant use krauser arm
At the start of the level the game tells you what button to press to activate his arm.
Apparently he has almost identical voiceovers for each of these guides. Work smarter not harder I suppose...
The basics remain the same, and if I don't include the same information in each guide, then someone who doesn't watch the Leon guide would then complain about not understanding things on this guide.

I am the only one who thought that Krausers bow sucks?
Not the only one, but it isn't a fair assessment, given that once you know how to aim consistently and quickly with it, it's almost always a one-hit kill if you hit their head.
I never liked him actually.

I actually really struggled with Krauser in the village, he can one shot the bella sisters, but it felt like his “arm” animation took forever which often got me killed. 🥲
It will stagger them if they're right on top of you, otherwise you do need to activate it when there's a little bit of distance still.
