Every album soyeon produced from day one was rejected by cube and every album and singe that company rejected broke their records and add wins and achievements! If they used the budget the girl afford from sales etc they could be as unbeatable they are now! The think that makes soyeon and idle stand out more that any other self-produced group is that she has an imagination and artistry. Lion was cheap but they made it look the most expensive mv in kpop! Soyeon knows what fits the girls and the fact she gives attention more to the lyrics rather than the melody because she leaves space for their voices to Ccarry the whole song! Listening to idle you get the idle sound songs and melodies that only them can produce and sing... unique af they are the leaders of their generation not one of THEY ARE THE ONES!

An FYI about Queendom: Mamamoo came in first place, IDLE placed second. Most of us already know that.
Before you judge the outcome of the competition based on just the last performances by these groups, you need to know that the final score was not based on the final performances alone. The final score was based on the rankings each group scored in each episode, throughout the entire series.
Mamamoo consistently scored in the top 2 spots throughout the series. This pplayed a key role in why they came in first place.
IDLE, on the other hand, bounced up and down the ranking quite a bit. They came in last place in the first episode because they were absent due to a scheduling conflict. The fact that IDLE ended up second in spite of all that is quite remarkable.

So glad you reacted to (G)I-DLE again! LION is definitely one of the most powerful songs in K-pop, especially in terms of women empowerment. The message of Soyeon's rap is very accurate to what she is in the industry as well, she's breaking barriers and stereotypes as a female K-pop artist! (G)I-DLE is definitely a one-of-a-kind kind of group, I hope you love them more as you get to know them! 😁💜

Just go watch the videos of GI-doe and the other groups watching the Mamamoo performances in complete awe of their talent.
They literally cried when Wheein sang and she was suffering through extreme anxiety disorder at that time.
I absolutely love GI-doe too, but let’s be honest.
Mamamoo won Queendom, which come as no surprise. But all the group performed really well, and it was a tight competition.
They have to switch songs with other contestant, in addition to performing their own song.

I love this song, but I also loved the song that they lost to. The groups are two of my faves next to dreamcatcher so I’m happy either way. Tho I could understand the disappointment, mamamoo is just more established in korea. Gi-dle is a monster rookie group tho and they did their best. Y’all should also check mamamoo out if you haven’t already.
yeah, i only watched queendom for mamamoo and ofc rooted for them to win but i can honestly say when i watch them perform Lion (knowing nothing abt this group before the show), i thought "okay these girls can win instead of mamamoo and I'd be totally okay with it" cause it was so damn good 😂 and now, (G)I-DLE is another one of my ult groups along with Dreamcatcher.

On queendom they lost to a group called Mamamoo who is also a very strong and well known group.
They also lost to Oh My Girl bc they came second
They lost to Mamamoo's Destiny in Queendom's final round. Both were arguably strong performance but I guess there can only be one winner so yeah haha. Mamamoo is my 2nd fave group after Dreamcatcher but ngl I love Lion's performance a lot haha.

Yeah, as much as I love Lion and think the Queendom Lion performance is one of the best live kpop performances I've ever seen, there's no shame in losing to Mamamoo. Mamamoo's live performances are always going to be tough competition no matter who you are.
The final score for Queendom was not based on the final performance alone. Who won was based on the scores throughout the entire series. Mamamoo won because a) they're Mamamoo and b) they consistently stayed in the top 2 slots throughout the entire series of shows.
In comparison, IDLE bounced up and down the rankings throughout the series. They couldn't even appear in the first episode because of a scheduling conflict. Considering how the series played out, IDLE winning second place was really quite a feat.
Is there gonna be 2nd season of queendom tho? I feel like the producer prefer kingdom than queendom. Kingdom give out good performance too but queendom hit diffrent. Also i want dc to enter queendom, lot of people gonna be awake once dc enter queendom

(G)I-DLE is an amazing group and one of my absolute favorites. Their song Lion lost to a group called Mamamoo and their song Destiny. Mamamoo is an amazing group and is actually the group that got me into kpop, you should really check out Mamamoo if you haven't. Another song from (G)I-DLE you should check out and possibly react to is Oh my god the korean music video and lyrics. You should also check out and react to the english lyrics because they are insane and really gay and I don't know how they were allowed to publish the english version. If you haven't heard Rolling Quartz did a cover of Dreamcatcher's song Good Night so if you haven't can you react to it because I know how much you love Dreamcatcher and Rolljng Quartz.

They didn't win queendom, but . . . they were up against Mamamoo. TBH, I liked their final performance better than Mamamoo's final performance (they did "Destiny", which is a GREAT song, but I thought Lion was a better performance) but overall, throughout the competition, Mamamoo just killed everything.
