  • Tendinopathy can range from tendinitis, tendinosis, and anything that causes pain and inflammation in the tendon. Graston technique is one way to treat tendinopathy and relieve pain.
Tendinopathy, also called tendinosis, refers to the breakdown of collagen in a tendon. This causes burning pain in addition to reduced flexibility and range of motion.
Tendinitis is the inflammation of a tendon. It happens when a person overuses or injures a tendon, for example, during sport. It is normally linked to an acute injury with inflammation. It often affects the elbow, wrist, finger, thigh, and other parts of the body.
The Graston Technique is a form of manual therapy known as soft-tissue instrument-assisted mobilization. It is one of a number of manual therapy approaches that uses instruments with a specialized form of massage/scraping the skin gently.
