- Plantar fascia pain and dysfunction is a highly debilitating condition. As therapists, you'll see exercise-induced plantar fasciitis more often. This is common in running and jumping athletes such as netballers, track-and-field athletes, and AFL players.
This training video offers two different soft tissue treatment approaches for treating plantar fasciitis. I discuss exercise-induced plantar fasciitis and its biomechanical pathophysiology and etiology, both of which are important to understanding predisposing factors. I introduce the Tom, Dick, and Harry approach of treating the most important muscles and why they are so important to the treatment approach to effectively treat plantar fasciitis. I also discuss the different grades of PF, so important to get treatment at the early stages to gain a quick resolution to the condition.
I move the through the treatment options to the deep medial compartment, our gastro/soleus complex and some local treatment options to the PF.
This is a long one this time so give yourself a half hour to really absorb it all. Love to hear your feedback guys!
