So many people are doom and gloom about AI, but it is a gift to humanity. It will cure cancers and so many other illnesses. It is going to dramatically change people's lives, vastly improving the quality of life for millions.

@@pvanukoff there's no reason to believe that this is what will happen. It's already freely or cheaply available to everyone with an internet connection, and as it gets more powerful it will become cheaper. the economics of AI scaling do not lead it to become expensive for the end user

This is such a fascinating and incredibly important vision! The idea of an open healthcare 'operating system' empowers individuals and truly shifts us from 'sickcare' to genuine healthcare.

And maybe ai will bring about the reform of the processed food industry, which is the single cause of almost all diseases we see today. Then medical care won’t be such an issue, will it?

Not having anyone in control sounds good in theory, but in practice when there's a power vacuum there is always someone malicious looking to exploit vulnerabilities in the system for personal gain.

Open-source software (like Linux) shows that is BS, as long there is a community it is much safer than centralized solutions that a few use for exploitation. It's like saying that only a dictatorship can work because in democracy there is a power vacuum.

With AI, it will become increasingly difficult for healthcare institutions to withhold effective treatments or to provide suboptimal care without justifiable reasons. Pharma treatments costing $60k per injection will likely go down in price. Ultimately, careerist doctors will be most affected via increased accountability lol.
As AI levels the playing field by making advanced diagnostic tools and treatment protocols more widely accessible, the traditional gatekeeping roles of physicians might diminish. This could challenge those who have relied on exclusive knowledge or status to advance their careers.

That impressive Emad, being happy is healthy, happiness drops all the bad away, you breathe so full that consume so many calories than you cannot be fat, you burn calories like crazy in happiness states... can you make a IA video like sora but low frame low quality and if the person like the output upscale and invent the frames... or a super mix small multimodal video because they give better results whit having more context, the more context the more capabilities or less constraints, so imagine the world 3D, vision to 3d and create video, sound stereo, hearing analysis, output audio, like the ultimate IA input any output small multimodal multiple small models in one, and a really small fast model for giving the appearance of awareness of now. But to create video it take its time, or give a intelligent answer. Because even if you do a only text model medical expert you need vision of image to be good, so the best IA doctor model need to be multimodal image and text and feed only on good data.
