Yet another episode with Coloumo AKA Peter Falk's real wife Shera Danese. She was 21 years younger than him, so compared to him here age wise she could look like his daughter.
Yet apperantly she didn't treat him that way. His actual daughter accused her of elder abuse during Peter's last years, and had her guardianship of the man revoked.
In return, the wife didn't tell the daughters that he died until after the funeral.
@@Maninawig but also that daughter sued him and another family member at different times during her life so I’m sure there are two sides to what actually happened. Was Shera found guilty? I doubt it.
Is the woman first out of the elevator at 1:29 the same actress that played the maid in the 'Murder in Malibu' episode?

Correct ! But this is in Hollywood where all phone numbers start with 555. And cars have no mirrors. Actors look over their shoulder to see whats happening behind them. Cars driving on sand roads make noise like they are driving on asphalt. The list goes on and on. Even in starwars luke skywalker does not have a mirror in his plane. He is constantly looking over his shoulder while going 300 miles per hour. And in outer space you can hear gunfire and bombes going off. In space ships people are walking around but there is no gravity. Jack nicholson destroys the bucket list. But 15 minutes later its intact again. In Ben Hur you see a car in ancient Rome. In ISS video's you see all kinds of movie mistakes. People on earth singing along with an astronaut up there. But we forget to notice there is a delay in the transmission so they could never sing along with the space actor. Its not very important. Its just entertainment. Sorry for my bad english i am from another country.

Are you referring to the episode where where Jack Cassidy plays a magician who commits murder? That full episode used to be on TH-cam in the past until it got taken down over copyright issues.
@@patrickjohnson5658 yes that is the episode. His wife buys him a clean black raincoat in that episode and he keeps trying to lose it on purpose but his eager to please sgt keeps returning it to him. Great episode and Cassidy was second only to Culp in my opinion as villain. I have the first 7 seasons on DVD but I don't even have a DVD player anymore. Lol. I wish they'd post it here. Season 4 I believe.
Sharpo. If you even had a small laptop, even one without a built-in CD/DVD drive, you could purchase a cheap external USB powered CD/DVD drive to connect to it to play your DVD's on. Another alternative are portable DVD players with built in LCD screens.

The Store Clerk (sorry... I mean 'Associate') in the scene starting around 3:12 might very well be the first recorded appearance of a millennial on network TV!
I think he is slightly too old by a few years so he's more tail end of Gen X. Being proper, an elder millennial would be at most age 17 in 1997. This guy looks like he's in low to mid 20s.
'Associate' = an Americanism which bled into Canada in 1994 when Walmart invaded...

I only bought original 70's Columbo. I havent watched any 80's or 90's Columbo.
@Abc Def That's all they had though. Each box set was a season, with a bonus episode of Miss Columbo.

I agree mostly. The exceptions are the classic 70's episodes "Murder Under Glass" where a very young Shera Danese played the lover of the chef and restaurant food critic, who murdered the restaurant owner who refused to pay him off in return for good reviews of his establishment. Also the classic episode where William Shatner AKA Captain Kirk plays the murderer.
Patrick Johnson I agree but this one and the Undercover one she’s a little weak. I do like in Undercover when she says the guy looked like the person in Rocky. Who of course really was Burt Young. I love them all. Been watching them since the 70’s and have all the DVD’s. It’s still my favorite show.
This one is actually great. I love how that forensic naturally looks harassed and stressed by Columbo. It is a vicious feeling lol
The poor Columbo years...
Columbo is like pizza. Even when it sucks, it's still pretty good. And when it's good, it's amazing. Peter Falk elevates everything, even a bad script and cast.

But the cast is usually top-notch in most of the episodes. And this episode, A Trace of Murder, is no exception, as I'm almost rooting for Cathleen (Shera Danese) and her conspiring boyfriend Patrick (David Rasche) to succeed with their plan to frame Clifford (Barry Corbin).

She's not that bad, but not great either. She fit this role perfectly, tho.
These were the years Columbo became a joke, Hollywood f'd it up and made it almost unwatchable.
This whole Columbus show is only 10 minutes long. These 50s shows were too short and in black and white. TV was new and the TV sets were too small to hold a longer show.
Shera Danese was the wife of Peter Falk, she had many roles in the Columbo series, and I never liked her. I do not like her.
