Carl! I am the dad of the two boys you kindly took the time to talk to and have a photo with. First and foremost, a heart felt apology for the complete lack of empathy for you losing that bite. I’m sure you can understand that we were just so excited at the time. My eldest ran up the stairs this morning screaming like something horrible had happened. When he calmed down he managed to compose himself and show us todays video. Unbelievable! Thank you so much for including the interaction. As my son said in the video ‘ that was his highlight of the summer holidays….and his year. Keep up the great work and thank you and all your team
I started my own TH-cam channel earlier this year and have watched and hopefully learned from you and other TH-camrs . I fish totally opposite to your style my wife is paralysed so I only get to go for a few hours twice a week but have all your passion and love of remote waters . So I lure fish only on remote rivers away from the know hotspots just to make life a challenge. I admire your quality videos I know how much work goes into a sub standard one . Good luck with your vlog and continue to enjoy life and fishing as I have done for over 50 years. All the best from Dave’s gone fishing
Iv got 1 peice of advice for you mate don't just stick to 1 style / type of fishing as it just gets boring for the people watching. Seen it on many other channels and when they start doing other things their channels pick up. Just my opinion hope all goes well
@davesgonefishing322 it all depends mate if your just sharing your adventures and not as bothered about making money off it then you do you, but if your looking to grow your channel and make money then mix up up. Take care 👍
@@-BOOMA- just keeps my love of the sport going once I’ve got home . I’m a carer for my wife so time on the bank is limited but I actually enjoy making videos . Although I’ve been reprimanded by my local club by using one of there waters without permission you live and learn
Same for me mate, been fishing for 12 months now and after watching the tutorial vids and the normal vids I've learnt so so much, simple way is the best way. 29lb my pb, November last year

Thanks again Carl for another great piece. And good luck with the new channel. You have my support as always
The thing that keeps me coming back to this channel is how each and every film you make is truly inspirational. Every element of your work is of the highest quality and it shows. The inclusion of this new vlog channel is such a brilliant idea, can't wait for the next installment. Keep doing what you're doing, Carl!
Dude, fair play to you. I would have been devastated losing that fish but you gave those kids your time straight away. Made their day despite it maybe being the lowest part of yours. 👏👏
I’m not a fisherman, certainly haven’t fished for a number of years. However, your videos are great and a must watch. You are doing a great job, keep it up and stay positive 👍
Man, I remember your first videos after you and Alex parted your ways. Production quality, camera shots and overall quality of your videos REALLY improved insanely since then. This is TV material right here. Keep up your good work and good luck.
Hi I'm from Belgium. You guys have rekindled my passion for fishing! I've lost my uncle a year ago who taught me how to fish. Because of you Carl I've bought some fishing material and picked up where my uncle left off! If you are ever in Belgium again, I would love to see you in action 😁. Keep up the great work!
Be grateful for where you are, @SniFc; up until a few years ago, Carp were hardly a target fish at all in Belgium/Holland, and you could find big fish in waters as small as campsite drainage channels! On top of that, you have MASSIVE perch in many of your waters, some bigger than the British record, and Zander are a native species in Europe, not persecuted as an invasive...
Ahh man, I'm so sorry to hear that. So glad your Uncle imparted a passion for fishing in you and so happy the films helped bring it back ❤ Thanks so much mate, tight lines!
Loosing a fish is gutting but a wee boost from some fans must have made it not so bitter. And i have to say your attitude dealing with that was spot on and must have been difficult!. Hats of to you sir!
I came to your (and your brothers) channel through Victor, Maxi and Joshi some years ago and now im stuck here for a long time Its always great to watch your videos. And i have to say Tom and Cal are a great addition to your team. Your whole style of filming and commentating is way more real and it feels just nice to watch how you fish and live. Greeting from Germany and keep it up. Looking forward for every new upload.
You guys have inspired me with your last few videos to get back to the waters and start fishing. Thanks to that I landed my new PB carp of 63lbs. Thanks for what you do and the content you provide
Great video as usual Carl, what you saw in the sky was not from the X Files I regret, it was a Starlink Satellite Train, newly launched satellites all making their way up to their 300 mile plus orbit height. I have seen a few shooting stars, a meteorite and many single satellites while night fishing but that train looked really cool.
I was fishing A1 pits and seen the exact same thing, my 2 cousins were in their bivvys and I ran to get them up and tried to get it on video but disappeared behind the trees. And hour n half later, right rod ripped off with a PB. Glad Carl got the footage though because they both thought I was tripping😅 thank you for identifying!🎣 🎣🎣🎣
you deserve soo much more....the quality that you put into your videos is pure and genuine...Always enjoy sitting back cup of tea and watching your videos
Great video. I don’t fish currently, but always feel like I’ve been on a trip! The night sky phenomenon you spotted was a formation of Starlink satellites, quite the sight!
sod the fishing, how cool was that to see some of yr fans and they say as they leave, THATS MADE MY HOLIDAY, made me cry with happyness, better than any fish buddy. top video as ever.
That park lake and the ones around it is where I spent my teens an early 20s fishing and man do I miss it! Living in west wales now so it all feels a million miles away! Thanks for the nostalgia and another great video! I hope you get her tipping 60 mate!! Much love
Another great, well put together video Carl. I dunno if anyone has ever mentioned this but I think it would be AMAZING if you got together with Graeme at TA FISHING for a few videos. The wealth of knowledge you two could pass on to young anglers would be amazing...as well as a great laugh !
Amazing the fact your uploads have been so consistent, always makes my day when I see a new video from you! Now that its winter here in Canada you are the only source of fishing that I get for 6 months!
I'm subbing straight away to your new vlog channel.Your narrative has always been one of the reasons I like your channels. Another brilliant video Carl.

Wow! The park lake you talk about fishing is actually my local lake, I knew there were a few carp, and good ones at that, but you make it look so easy to catch them even in the short 30 second clip you showed. Keep up the good work!
Brings back good memories, the Res used to be my favourite Tench venue - so many hours spent there catching the Tench & bream😊, never caught one of the carp although did see some very big ones from time to time. Great film Carl
More amazing films carl and in such beautiful places and some of the carp you catch are amazing what people dream to catch one day and you are a awesome big carp catching machine nice one carl 👏🎣🐟🎥👏👏👏👌👍😁
Great YPC format with relaxed and friendly anglers! The good handling of the fish is exemplary👍 You have very nice waters in england. The perch are normal size. It' s good to see that a 40 plus cm speciemen is a very special fish that you don't catch every day! Cheers from Hamburg / germany
I used to love fishing there. The arm is great for bream, where you were fishing is actually pretty good for tench too. The only issue are the tree stumps, they can be a real snag when the water is high. It seems even prettier when the water is low for some reason, and there is nothing but gorgeous woodland all around. My only gripe was the ducks, first thing in the morning they make so much noise you can't sleep!
Nice vid mate, that star looking thing passing over was a sattelite, i first noticed them about 5 years ago. I have fished a private lake in Poland, really old, the owner used to fish it for a living! So very good stock and old fish. I went for a a couple of nights and only had one bite. This was very exiting as there had been a 20Kg+ carp caught less than a week ago there, and another one followed after my session. I struck and lost a large fish, and the rig. I'm not sure if i tightened the drag too much, or if I had a bad knot, or a combination of the 2!
Love watching your videos carl. You do a great job. It was fantastic meeting you at the 2023 big one show . Hopefully your be at the 2024 show so my boy can meet you as well. He is 12 and has disabilities but carp fishing is the only thing were he concentrates the whole day .
Great production again Carl. I have a question - what is your current setup when fishing 12ft rods? I am interested in your rod, reel and mainline combo. Cheers!
Thank you mate :) Right now I have some Korda Kaizen Green rods (prototypes) with Shimano Ultegra 14000 reels which have been decent. I have a spool of 12lb Korda CarpLine and a spool of Korda Apex braid for casting long distance.
@@fishwithcarl thanks, I was wondering about those rods. Keep it up, waiting for more videos (winter in the States can be hard carp-fishing wise, so all we can do is watch lol.)
I remember watching the first video ..good to be back 👌 You mentioned park lake in this video went back to rewatch “the lake rescue “ what ever happened to park lake did it ever get the repairs it needed? Glad to hear your doing vlog videos 👍
hi- ive got a 10-60g travel rod i bought because i thought it would be really versatile. its 10 foot. i wanted to use it for perch lure fishing in ponds, trout lure fishing in a river and lure fishing in the sea for pollock. now, i cant find any 10-15g trout/perch lures easily available- could you reccomend and techniques or lures? or should i just buy a 15-60g ugly stik rod? ( my rod is quite stiff)
Star link was launched that weekend. i was also bank side. my son and i also had our Pb's that night. We also had a similar slow take. Good luck in the new ventures 👏👍
Carl, I am the same age as you and Alex and have been watching for you 5 or 6 years casually when I get the fishing fever. I have never considered unsubbing so quick on the ketchup remark😂 Take it back ASAP
Nice to see you return to the Sussex Reservoir. I nearly fished such myself, probably when you and Alex were cracking its secrets. I wanted to target it for the pike though but a narcissistic lady I was with, made it a nightmare to try. She even stole all my fishing gear she had me move down there lol. Not got it back yet from a storage place it got dumped into 4+ years ago lol.
It's the Fish that matter not the stress I had same trouble in 2012 with a huge rudd caught in Cambridgeshire Ppl calling it fake and even called anglers mail report fake and full of poo Keep it up we love the vids
I've been itching to get on the bank but it's been raining for what feels like 3 weeks now. Most of my local favourite spots are either flooded or blocked by flood water presently. Winter day sessions on the local res are a bit daunting as it's around 300 acres and the membership waiting list is about 2 years long.
Could someone link the first video of this lake that Carl refers to? If searched all the videos but can find which one it is
Hey! Here it is! The HUGE CARP I thought I'd never catch...

Oh wow. Sounds super exciting!! Oh man, sorry you lost that fish. Always hurts more when it feels like a big one.
Love watching your videos carl. You do a great job. It was fantastic meeting you at the 2023 big one show . Hopefully your be at the 2024 show so my boy can meet you as well. He is 12 and has disabilities but carp fishing is the only thing were he concentrates the whole day .
Thank so much mate! We may be at the Big One next year! It's not finalised yet - will confirm this nearer the time :) All the best to you and your son
So far I'm enjoying the Kaizens! Thank you :) lots of films on their way! All the best!
Sending a big thanks for your videos from 🇵🇹
I remember watching the first video ..good to be back 👌
You mentioned park lake in this video went back to rewatch “the lake rescue “ what ever happened to park lake did it ever get the repairs it needed?
Glad to hear your doing vlog videos 👍
hi-
ive got a 10-60g travel rod i bought because i thought it would be really versatile. its 10 foot. i wanted to use it for perch lure fishing in ponds, trout lure fishing in a river and lure fishing in the sea for pollock.
now, i cant find any 10-15g trout/perch lures easily available- could you reccomend and techniques or lures? or should i just buy a 15-60g ugly stik rod? ( my rod is quite stiff)
Cant wait to see what the future holds for all 3 of your channels. Well done
Thanks so much! :)
14:00 GUILDFORD!!! my home town, you should check out some spots there! Nice video carl, really Entertaining. 😃
Star link was launched that weekend. i was also bank side. my son and i also had our Pb's that night. We also had a similar slow take. Good luck in the new ventures 👏👍
I LOVE to watch your videos please continue to post💯
Carl, I am the same age as you and Alex and have been watching for you 5 or 6 years casually when I get the fishing fever. I have never considered unsubbing so quick on the ketchup remark😂 Take it back ASAP
That place looks awesome also I'm happy you shown actual footage of a Bream as a lot of anglers would appreciate that as that was a proper specimen
Love these vids mate, absolute quality 👏 love how youre a celebrity with those kids too 😂
😂 made my day ❤ was super sweet! Thanks Andy!
Watching ur videos from Palestine. It makes me forget the world. Thanks
❤❤❤
What rod and reel do you use Carl would like to know what you use I want to get into fishing big time 8:45
It's the Fish that matter not the stress
I had same trouble in 2012 with a huge rudd caught in Cambridgeshire
Ppl calling it fake and even called anglers mail report fake and full of poo
Keep it up we love the vids
I've been itching to get on the bank but it's been raining for what feels like 3 weeks now. Most of my local favourite spots are either flooded or blocked by flood water presently. Winter day sessions on the local res are a bit daunting as it's around 300 acres and the membership waiting list is about 2 years long.
Love the videos keep up the good work I'm learning so much from each video good job
Glad to hear it! Cheers Marcel
The carp rods will never fail to look goofy
Yeeeeeeeeeeeh buddy, soon as i hear reservoir i got exited hahaha
Love the uploads
As a newbie to fishing can you give me some info on the tackle you use and why you choose the rods and reels over others. Thank you
