Hello Carl it’s me Alex just wanted to say hi and good luck with the fishing and at the very moment I’m in Estonia as I’m going to do ice fishing so I wish you luck as well as I do myself. Tight lines
Brilliant videos Carl. It’s not just the great wild fishing but your American friends you have stayed in touch with which make your trips to the States so special. And yes I can imagine if you could get together on a top European exclusive lake or two it would blow their minds. I would love to see them catch a euro 50 and the look that would put on their faces. Happy Xmas to you Omi and Alex too, I hope you get well rested and a bit of time to think of new adventures in the months and years to come! ❤
Panic attacks, depression,, paranoid,, loneliness,,,confidence,, ,and u and Yr friends have shown in Yr videos of competition fishing and friendly fishing,,,how getting out fishing conquers it all and brings it all together ..yous are the best, ,enjoy 😊
Thanks carl, because of you i started carp fishing. I hope you have an amazing 2024 filled with love. Thank you for all the great video's this year, much love!!
Carl you have always shown heart , compassion , and love for everyone! Your work ethic is massive so you are designed to succeed in life. Thanks Carl for what you do. Merry Christmas
Hi carl, I'm a young angler I only started fishing 2 years ago with just a float and some maggots. You have taught me so much through your videos and i cant get enough of carp fishing. My dream is to become a TH-cam fishing angler like you. Tight lines
Bloomin kidney stones 😮 Have really enjoyed your fishing adventures, your American buddies are cracking friends, who completely share your love of fishing and outdoors 🙂 Have a good one and come on 2024 !
I love it when you come to the USA. It's still mostly under fished for Carp. As you know, the American record fish are there, waiting. Please come more often.
Watched this straight after the US film on the “main” channel and loved the different feel to the in production - certainly captured the “just jumping on a plane” feel! A great video. The intimacy and insights into you as a person are great, probably because you don’t really know you’re doing it! I can imagine it’s really reassuring for others going through similar things to see someone not letting it get in the way of doing things they love. I had a kidney stone - I found drinking 6+ pints of water as soon as it rumbled stopped the pain getting to the “think I’m going to faint” phase - it tore its way out eventually which was as much of a relief as it was unpleasant! I hope yours settle down soon.
Hope the stones subside soon buddy. Partially shared your pain on the Catfish - I tried Thailand for the first time last month after watching one of your videos, had 3 brilliant days at Jurassic and then moved on to a smaller lake in Pattaya. As I hadn't caught a Juliens Carp I got a tip off from the head bailiff at Jurassic on the lake I tried afterwards - Despite the best efforts of the owner and his gillie to get me one, the Catfish took a big liking to the wafters and I ended up with a 22lb Red Tail, a 30lb Leopard and a 30lb Ripsaw (Plus a bonus 30lb Pacu). They were amazing fish though that fought really hard so I still had a smile on my face despite not getting a Juliens, three Siamese Carp to 25lb also dulled the disappointment. Going back in April
Hi Alex. Very much enjoy your video. Lovely carp (and catfish). Wishing you and Omi a very happy 2024 and I look forward to more inspirational videos. Roland of the FABS (Fishing and Beer Syndicate.
A bit of advice mate when fishing a flooded lake with snags like that get to your rod straight away - to late now but it would save the drama and lost fish later 👍👍
I love how your first reaction to the catfish being hooked was to eat him ! To be fair I do hear that they make great eating and are great fries for burgers
Great video! While many people find slow deep breathing helpful for panic, I've discovered that exhaling three long breaths until I can't exhale any longer works much better for me. I hope you don't suffer another but please try this if it does.
Mate I've had kidney stones 3 times so far and every time it is just the worst experience I have ever had in life hope all is well and thanks for the great content!
I normally just gobble up the videos and then I'm on my way, but I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the joy you (and your brother) are bringing, the tremendous amount of work that goes into these videos (and they just keep getting better and more professional!), and the passion you genuinely convey. Much, much appreciated, hope you're doing better now! (And by the way: I'm not even a carp angler, I prefer pike and some flyfishing, but the energy of the videos transcends all that 😃)
Merry Christmas Carl! Thanks for the double upload. I’m not a carp fisherman, I’m much more into my predator fishing with the lures, but I’m always drawn to your videos. Your infectious positive attitude never gets tiring and it is always refreshing to see you enjoying yourself with such a busy schedule of fishing, editing, planning whilst maintaining a seemingly happy home life! Look after yourself and enjoy the festivities! 👌🏻🌲
@more_fishwithcarl Keep um coming please. Happy New year to you too. My mate actually built his own lake in B.Hill. Some nice 30s in there. I'll be back in 2025 to fish his lake and 2 weeks at Ribiere in France.
Having battled “stones” a couple times 😢 I feel your pain bud. Hope you feel better soon. Get to a urologist soon and figure out how to change your diet and or add citric acid to help your body naturally keep them down. All the best!
So sorry to hear that, ah man they really suck. Mine used to be very severe, now I don't have them anymore thankfully. I read a book called the 'anxiety cure' and that started off a journey that helped me fully recover, I definitely recommend it. I also realised sugar was an unexpected contributor too, if I had cereal/porridge/simple carbs etc for breakfast I was more quick to stress through the day because my blood sugars were so up and down, which I now know affects stress and anxiety. Now I eat eggs, gf toast with some veg (gently fried broccoli for fibre and nutrients). Having a savoury protein, fibre and fat (olive oil/butter) breakfast my energy, and blood sugars stay stable through the day as it can only be stabilised in the morning, which means I manage stress much better. I realised in recovering from panic and anxiety that there were multiple factor and contributors. Diet was part of it, but a lot was about starting to become aware of unhelpful thought patterns too, and also finally allowing the deep feelings come up from the past that I had been burying. It seems to be a journey though, no quick-fixes, and it IS possible to recover, and be panic-free. It does take time and much learning but I've learned it's possible, and cannot believe it as I suffered for so long since I was a very young. Another big factor was processing grief around my Nan who died when I was seven who was a big part of life, so I became subconsciously fearful of things 'going away', I had never really processed that before until I started to talk about this. I see that anxiety and fear can be unfelt emotions that just need the space and safety to be felt. Anyway, it's a massively personal road, I highly recommend that book. Wishing you all the best mate.
Dude , ur vids r such an inspiration omg. Like I love to fish but suffer from anxiety and depression so I relate so much. I want to come to the uk to catch a carp. Wish I could meet u
It is really inspiring how you managed to go from having a panik attack and feeling homesick to beeing excited again ! As someone who deals with simular feelings I know this is a huge achievement. I am sorry for my poor english 😅 Frohe Weihnachten und Grüße aus Deutschland!
Kidney stones are one of my biggest fears. I hope I never experience them in my life. Big ups on the carp catches though, beautiful stocky sows you guys got your hands on
I hope your ok, Carl kidney stones are so painful I have had them and the pain is unbelievable I hope your ok now 🤞and I hope your new year is kidney stone free 🤞🤞🤞🐟🐟🐟🎣🎣🎣😁👍
Thanks for the nice videos Carl!! You are very honest and i think that makes you a great person. An fine example for other people! Good luck with the kidney stones i know the horror😕 Whishing you and your family a merry christmas and a happy and healthy newyear! Thanks for sharing
Great video and amazing fishing! However I couldn’t cope with that climate, absolutely sucks, seems to rain for days! In Southern England where I live it is actually far sunnier and drier than this place at that time of year believe or not.
Love the videos and glad to hear you got into some good fish when you came out. I feel for you in terms of your kidney stone especially while being in the US which is largely privatized healthcare (where I live). I hope you were able to get treatment of some kind or at least get ahold of some decent anti-inflamatory and pain killing meds. One thing to consider that my friend did is look into non-invasive surgery for the kidney stones when you are back in the UK. They used an ultrasonic projector if I remember right and were able to break up the stones
Happy Christmas to you & Omi ... Great video again . My daughter lives in Maryland in the US so on my next visit to see her I will look the carp fishing ... Stay safe & get well.
Hey Pat, I carp fish in Maryland. Maybe If you want when you're here we can meet up at one of my spots if you're not familiar with where to go. There's no place here like Dale Hollow though😂
Hopefully one of these days I'll get to meet you on the bank. I'm close with Brian and Austin and I've fished many of the places you guys have gone to but every time you've come over I've had to work... Hope you've been feeling better since the filming.
Merry Christmas Carl Your videos are always straight down the line honest and true and you say it like it is plus your a top bloke I’ll be honest I came across your videos thru the snagged bro door and tbh after spending almost three decades as an avid carp angler now and always have been obsessed with lures especially for Zander It was the carp circus that put me of all the gear etc although I do still fish for carp on the canal network they are truly wild fish and fight like stink Thanks again happy new year
Having watched you for a while, I imagine opening yourself up is a bit daunting, but it's good to see the person behind the tackle if you know what I mean 😘 If you haven't done so already, Google 'anchoring' for panic attacks. Pinching the back of my hand works for me. It sounds like you managed it well with your breathing, but this is worth having up your sleeve 💙
Hey Carl, love your videos and your brother. Keep up the amazing work. Have a Happy New Year to you and your family. You need to make a trip to Toronto Canada 🇨🇦. Tight lines from across the pond. 🇨🇦
youd have a hell of a time in idaho. i see constant 20-40 lbers in the river. might have to deal with bow hunters but there are plenty around. nice mirrors commons etc
Hello bro, I'm with you on the kidney stones, experienced them 3 times now, and by far the most painful thing. My last one was 4cm and had to have it surgically removed, not good, just a little tip, buscopan by far the best painkiller for them, just incase you don't already know, happy Xmas
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Sorry, you have kidney stones, I have only past one in my lifetime, but it was rough. I hope you have fully recovered. Great video as always! I really enjoyed it.
You want your US/Canadian carp record, you need to fish the great lakes for em. Countless 50+ lbers. But thats another beast in itself.
Hello Carl it’s me Alex just wanted to say hi and good luck with the fishing and at the very moment I’m in Estonia as I’m going to do ice fishing so I wish you luck as well as I do myself. Tight lines
Hey Alex! Ah that's mega to hear :) Good luck mate - tight lines! 👍

Loved this. Those commons are immense. Hope you’ll be ok, Carlo. I’ve had stones, and they’re like a gunshot to the abdomen. Great video, mate.
The yacht guy isn't going to bust your spot in these conditions. Some beautiful carp ,and a nice largemouth bass in episode 1.
