Considering someone is designing and selling this kit I assume there's some sort of second hand market for US iphones in China. Maybe even blacklisted ones as I highly doubt that china adheres to any US IMEI blacklists.

The OLED kamikaze hack is even more annoying than this as it requires the trace to remain in perfect condition and it's so small you might accidentally bump it off with the soldered wire.

The chances of breaking is very high too many costly and sensitive parts to parts needs to be changed And also need to change the oem battery that is a deal breaker if this was have to do it it has to do it on the large scale then only it's a sustainable model

I guess this is for educational purposes because the labor is certainly gonna be more expensive than just buying a non-US iPhone.

yeah but now we did not test it with iOS 18, but in iOS 17, should work perfect
