Yes prices are getting crazy. I have my first Chanel bag that I bought in 1987 for my 30th birthday, a black camera bag with tassel. I never wear it anymore but could never sell it.

I bought my Chanel medium classic in 2016 too- its in black caviar with gold hardware - still looks like new. In the states it has more than doubled in price -so far we did not get the current price increase. I always wanted one in the beige clair and finally bought it in 2021. I had a large gift card from my points with Saks which combined with the price at that time I really saved. I agree I love the beige clair color - mine in bright light or in the sun definitely looks like a true light beige - in natural light it does show a very slight yellow and the gold hardware looks so much better than the silver.
I also have a Chanel mini square which I bought in 2021. Even I used with care, the corners still show wear and tear in merely 2 yrs of occasional use. It shows the quality of Chanel has drastically dropped. Very much envy of yours are in good condition. 😊

My oldest bag in my collection is my lv alma pm I got it in 2013. It was a birthday present from my hubby. I still wear it all the time. So happy I got it in the indigo. It’s super easy to style too
You still own quite a few OG bags. I remember when you part ways with your Chanel Jumbo, my heart skipped a bet.... you wore that bag soSoSO Good. So sad the YSL Camera Bag no longer have the tassel as it is so adorable on this bag. I don't know why, for the life of me, why I hadn't purchased this bag already. Guess it will be a preloved one, have to have the tassel. Hope you're having an Amazing weekend Doll & TFS&I. 🧡

I was considering the lv speedy 25 bandolier or the coach rogue 20 and I agree I am going with the coach. And instead of the Chanel classic flap in black lamb skin I will just do the Tory Burch Fleming in black with gold hardware.

Agreed 👍. I like all the bags u kept. I also sold my jumbo chanel. I only bought it because there was no medium classic. It is to big for me. I am very short. Also, I was not in love with the color. I learned never to settle.

i just bought myself a speedy 25b in monogram as my first luxury handbag purchase! :D knowing about the extreme price increase hurts a little, not gonna lie... but this was my dream bag since i was like 10 lol so im still very happy with my purchase and i know i'll have it in my collection for the rest of my life :)
The prices for new bags are getting crazy, but I think the prices on the resale market are very good. People have no money and try to sell. It is a good time for buying, even if you want to buy classics like the speedy.

I got beige Claire medium caviar with silver hardware and disappointed to see at least two people saying it’s not good with silver.… feeling like I own a shit now ..

Don’t! It’s beautiful in silver. If you like the bag it’s all that matter. I used to care so much about what people think that I wouldn’t buy a top just because my friends said it was ugly. Even though I really liked it. I regret it so much and went back the week after and it was gone. Now I don’t care if anyone says anything I have is ugly. If I like it I’m buying it.

I’m actually a white gold girl, rather than yellow gold, so it matches my style. I have one exception tho - and bought the bag cos I was influenced by bag bloggers a lot - it’s a black and gold small YSL Loulou. But lots of people say it’s totally fine to mix and match hardware with your jewellery - it doesn’t have to match. Again, we don’t care what anyone says, right ? 😂
@@25ishere haha yes life is to short to care to much what other thinks. Do whatever makes you happy. In the end of the day that’s all that matters. I’m to old to care what people think anymore. Plus I’ve noticed the ones that hates on you are the ones who are always jealous too. Everyone have difference preferences so no one is going to agree on everything.

This is a really interesting topic. My oldest bags are:
1. Chanel jumbo single flap in black caviar with real gold hardware 2008
2. Large Prada Saffiano lux in black 2013
3. Medium Diorever in beige 2015
I would purchase them all again but preloved. The are all discontinued but I would never buy the equivalent models brand new. I would have to be stupid to do that,

Hi Isabelle. Tanner Leatherstein just relessed a video on a Strathberry bag. Great quaity, resonably priced. I am glad I have 3 Strathberry bags now. The big brand names are just too greedy now, taking huge profits from gullible customers.

i’ve had my eye on both the chanel 19 and the 22 but i can’t with the prices these days 🫣 i came from the era when a classic flap was $2000 🤣 i don’t use it anymore but my hubby like yours, has banned me from selling it - he says it for our daughter because he’s not going to spend $30k buying her a classic flap for her 18th birthday 🤣
