Man, you guys are some heavy-duty techs. I could watch you guys work all day long. I'm looking into getting a van myself and having this done to it. Y'all keep up the excellent work that you do. 👍👍👍👍
Wow, amazing process for full 4 wd conversion. Top notch work right down to the paint. Very impressive job. I’ve wanted a 4 wheel drive van for ages, maybe my time will come. I’ve known about Quigley for awhile but I had no idea you all existed, and I’m less than 100 miles away.. Awesome, keep up the great, high quality work.. Great Job on the Video!
Hey Chris @ujointoffroad, I am looking at upgrading my 4x4 van engine/tran combo. - I was wondering if the process of converting the 2WD 5r110 to 4wd is as simple as replacing the tailhousing to mate with the NP271 and replacing the output shaft off the 5r110 by simply sliding it out. Or would that require a full transmission rebuild? - Would the shaft lenght need to be adjusted if I go from 4R75e to 5R110. Thanks much!
I have a 2012 E350 super duty 12 passenger van what would it cost to do a conversion like this to it just wondering to go that route or just get a pick up truck
how many layers of black paint are you painting on the frame? and how long do you let it dry per layer? at what temperature and % of humidity do you paint?
Simpler & more durable. We can put the axle where we want it, they handle/steer and articulate better, no death wobble issues and leaf springs party harder. We have multiple videos of us removing coil suspensions and replacing with our custom spring setup you see here.
@ujointoffroad the 30k option includes the van? I live in New York, and my family has just completed a 22 ft trailer build. It weighs about 8,500 to 9000 lb fully stocked, we don't want a pickup truck, but we have considered a 2008-2009 Hummer H2 SUT. We have been researching tow vehicles and found some MODIFIED Ford E350 online but haven't been able to find any for sale or to confirm whether or not they can pull a 9000lbs trailer safely.
This video is more entertaining than the Super Bowl.
I’ll take that advertising $$$
Chris, great job.
I could watch these videos all day.
Well done. Quality work. Second to none.
Same.

Yep, the 5R110 is the easiest!
I am interested to have one Ford e350 v10 like one shown in the video, do you have on sale ready to go work, thanks

What engine is it?
Vans are so much better!!
Nice over view ofcthe process. What is the time total? 5 days?
Is 4x4 available/possible for a 2003 E150 4.6 engine?
We bill 45 hours for a turn key swap here. And yes, we have a kit for the 03 E150.
While you had it up on the lift, did you replace the body mount bushings? Those looked cracked
No. That requires the body to be removed. Cracking on some of the body mounts is normal for the E series.
how many layers of black paint are you painting on the frame? and how long do you let it dry per layer? at what temperature and % of humidity do you paint?
2-3, it dries fast. No idea on temp or humidity, we spray it when it needs to be sprayed.
@@ujointoffroad what brand of paint are you using for the frane?

Why do leaf springs and not stick with the coil spring design it came with?

Questions: it's possible to have leaf springs under axle option for 4x4 conversion?
It’s not with our setup, sorry
Where you get the front axial they feet on the van
We have the housings made for us. Our DIY kit also uses the 99-04 F series front axle housing.

Around how much did this conversion cost?
DIY options start at ~6k, full turn key in house swaps are ~30k

@@michaelkaine345no, you would provide the van. An 05-14 V10 would tow 9k nicely

Not worth the time, better as lunch $$
