- Hi! As the game is finally officially available, I've decided to share my own experience from the game from beginning to End.
I did absolutely everything from the game, recorded all the important stuff. If you don't want to get spoiled althought it's from a game that already existed, don't go on the internet.
I hope you appreciate my videos content, not an easy task to do but I'm here now.

The leader cast in this game hits different from all the other games.
Larry is the most relatable and WTF person ever in Pokémon, which is a masterpiece.
I know, I love him for that. All of these Gym Leaders have such good characters, it's unreal.

I don't know why, but I love the fact that the Ghost leader is a rapper. The fact that they also are a double battle makes it even better!
Yeah, I was not expecting a rap battle with grandma in a Pokemon game. And then we've got Larry, the most normal guy ever. They have some good variety with the gym leaders.
I know it is not likely but I wish they gave her skeledirge
@@drygnfyre its incredible how Larry, the most generic looking guy ever, is both a Gym Leader and Elite Four with two type specialties! Also from what I dug up, Ryme's older sister used to be the city GL, but she took over after her sister became a teacher in the academy. Love these secrets behind such wonderfully designed characters.

Another Pokemon game where the Normal Type Gym Leader is leaving an impression on people. Despite their plain type they're always the one that left impressions on people. And Larry got a neat philosophy on the Normal Type.
No wonder it's my favorite type. ^^
Well apart for the main reason we all love him (That being him just being Larry) I also liked the fact that he was a member of the elite 4.
When the little kid said his name I was like "Huh" (Just like Larry) I was not expecting him to be there
More like the only Normal Type Gym Leader that people care about. The previous normal gym leaders/trial captain were trash.
I really appreciate that Tera types allowed them to make a lot more interesting gym battles that also say a lot about their trainers. Katy choosing a honey loving bear and Brassius choosing plant looking statue as their signature pokemon were nice touches.
The electric one with mismagius coz people get ghosted on the internet lol

@@SewnOpen001I'm... pretty sure Toxtricity is because Ryme's job is a Rapper. It's music. All the Gym Leaders have "day jobs" except Grusha who is retired via injury, just like in Unova. I really like this! Katy is a Baker; Brassius is an Artist; Iono is a Streamer; Kofu is a Chef; Larry is an Office Worker; Ryme is a musician and Tulip runs a cosmetics company.
Tulip's design is like elite 4/champion vibes. Also, the design and personality of each gym leader is amazing compared to previous gens.
I feel her and Diantha are great friends.
She reminds me of Olympia and Fantinna tbh

I love Larry, we’ve never seen a type of gym leader like him and I love how popular he’s become. But I wish I’d see some of the other gym leaders get appreciated more like Katy, Tulip and Kofu

I love Grusha a bit more than I love Larry. They’re mostly the same, but at least the former still has some spark left in him and doesn’t look down on himself all the time.
Really enjoyed the Gym leaders... Larry and Ryme were absolute standouts for me... Larry is that overworked tone-death guy while Ryme is an aging Rapper from the 90s era. I didn't get why her gym is a double battle.... but then you remember she has a twin sister (who works at the academy).
If I'm honest all major Gym Leader and Elite 4 battles should be Double Battle.
It's just the best way to fight in Pokémon and the fight can be finished quicker.
Also Elite 4 members should specialize in two types to make their teams more diverse.
Elite 4 Poppy could be Steel-Fairy for example, while Elite 4 Larry would be good with Normal AND Flying types.

Speaking of the elite four, I just noticed something about it
Their signature types match up with the Titans! Rika matches with Great Tusk/Iron Treads, Poppy matches with Orthworm, Larry with Bombirder, Hassel with Tatsugiri. And Geeta terastalizes her Glimmora to a pure rock type lke Clawf!!

Larry's the most relatable gym leader.
I love that most of the gym leader got job like normal people,instead of being just a gym leader and defending their city like previous game.
Katy - A Baker
Brassius - A painter or artist
Iono - Influencer
Kofu - A chef and restaurant owner
Larry - A salaryman or vigilante
Tulip - A makeup artist
Ryme - A rap singer
Grusha - A professional skiboarder
It makes them so much more involved. Then there's Larry with his 6 jobs lol.

@@hanifzainal5978 Yep but his Pokémon are so interesting. I rate so much he has a Staraptor - and it's so endearing he can't come out of his 'work mode' to appreciate them and be upbeat about his whole Gym leader status like other Flying/Normal type Gym leaders.

He knew that fighting type won't be effective against terra type.
When fighting his flamigo in Elite 4 however is much easier.
Paldea isn't the first region to have this - most other regions' Gym Leaders have jobs or hobbies aside from their Gym duties. Here's Sword and Shield's lineup and their outside jobs:
Milo: Farmer
Nessa: Model
Kabu: Exercise coach
Bea and Allister: Students
Opal: Theater manager
Gordie: Model (most likely)
Melony: Mom
Piers: Rock singer

Why i love each gym leader from this region:
Katy - the grandma that makes you cookies
Brassius - this mysterious man likes grass
Iono - she is best girl
Kofu - he is that one uncle you wish you had
Larry - come on guys, it's Larry
Ryme - i mean, duh
Tulip - she pretty UWU
Grusha - the simple fact that Gamefreak intentionally made us think he was a girl

Ironically, Larry is one of the most interesting and creative gym leaders.

And the fact that he has one of my favorite pokemon of all time as his ace makes me appreciate him even more
Larry is the most standout gym leader.
Iike the fact that Larry has two types of teams normal/flying type Pokemons which is most commonly used dual typing.
And Komala - the very _Paradox_ yet also splitting image of himself.

That actually makes sense as he uses grass type Pokemon which are known for their beauty and elegance so having someone who is handsome and flamboyant would fit grass type Pokemon perfectly

I'll straight up tell you why because he's just the regular everyday guy like the rest of us in life which fits his normal Pokemon type perfectly. Basically what it is is you love the Larry because you yourself can relate to him on an everyday level

Now, what Gym Leaders would accept her request if one actually happened:
- Katy: probably yes; kind woman she is
- Brassius: just mention art, avant-gardance and MC, and you're golden
- Kofu: definitely
- Larry: nah, he would think of it as the waste of time (unless Geeta orders him to)
- Ryme: I'm a bit mixed, but the bigger half says yes (the question is would Iono invite her...)
- Grusha: unlikely; with his attitude, chances of accepting are low
- Tulip: cuteness and beauty; if she's free, then I think she could accept the invitation

My favorite gym leaders of Paldea are Iono, Larry, and Tulip, they either have great designs or great personalities

Not a lot of people giving my boy Grusha some love. He shows that despite being somewhat apathetic due to his big accident, deep down that spark still remains, and our battles with him help rekindle that fire a little bit. Which goes to show that when you feel like nothing has meaning, sometimes it takes someone else to help you find meaning again.
It's implied the accident was quite recent as well.

I'm amazed how Gardevoir ables to land hypnosis without fail
My Flame Charge keeps missing whenever Mud Slap is used(lowers accuracy)
Specially against Grusha's Beartic since because of Snow Cloak, Hypnosis had a measly 56% accuracy.
We can rematch them multiple times, correct?

Iono's postgame team is honestly my favorite out of everyone's. All she needed was Rain Dance and she could have easily been the strongest challenge in the game, assuming you play with bootleg Set rules and aren't overleveled.

I think gamefreak made the game a whole lot easier than other Pokémon series not even the elite four and the champion uses potions-full restores

Out of all the gym leaders, only Larry's ace is the same type as his speciality before terastalizing.
Still think Tulip should have been a fairy leader since her things on her dress wave around. Plus is it me or does she look like a Bratz doll?

It kinda sucks you can only have a rematch with them once hopefully the dlc we can have a rematch with them MORE OFTEN maybe this this time with a full 6 pokemon team plus all of their ace pokemon with tera blast and possibly be hard as the gym leaders from BDSP

When Ryme opted to use Curse when Spiritomb was her last pokémon in a two versus 1 match and already on a low amount of health I felt like burying my face in the desk...

This is very similar to Mario odyssey. You know where you go to the mushroom kingdom and go to those little towers and rematch on the Bosses very similar to that.
