- Hi! As the game is finally officially available, I've decided to share my own experience from the game from beginning to End.
I did absolutely everything from the game, recorded all the important stuff. If you don't want to get spoiled althought it's from a game that already existed, don't go on the internet.
I hope you appreciate my videos content, not an easy task to do but I'm here now.

All of these trainers are struggling with the tera orb, and then you have Larry who merely has to adjust his tie.
And Rika who flicks her hair away from her face

I love that only a few trainers are able to handle the orb without issue.
I love how everyone almost gets the orb blown out of their hands and then there's Iono who isn't even holding it

makes me wonder how strong terastalizing is given how trainers in the previous regions mega evolve, use z move and dynamax with ease

@@zackrack8942 Dynamax don't depend on bond, more about the energy produced by Eternatus. Still, the PokeBall does grow in size and gets heavy.

Yup. It's to emphasize that he really isn't a pokemon battler. He just wants to cook and take care of Mabosstiff and only started battling because he had too.

@@MC-sd6dp Geeta's seems more like a subtle flex while Arven's seems like just incompetence which I appreciate. Fun detail from Gamefreak.
He only holds Mabostiff's ball upside down, regardless of the animation, and not for any of his other Pokemon.
I think he's doing it intentionally for some reason.

I was kind of hoping Tyme’s eyes would white out like her sister’s, but I guess her animation does fit her more gentle and nurturing personality.
I believe Ryme's eyes whiting out is tied to her being a Ghost-Type specialist.
To rub salt to the wound in Masters EX, Special Costume Hilda did Grusha's throwing animation, so it is his fault

I guess that's all 18 terastal phenomenon hats. Does Mela, Giacomo, Eri, Atticus and Ortega are the ones who never used Tera orbs?

The key to not get your face blown away by the Tera Orb is to hold it above your head like the player.

@@ivandekad7249 No the right side controls the right and the left controls the left when your brain gets badly affected it gets confused hence why for example getting the right side damaged affects the left side of the body.

Little detail, from watching all these you can see Hassels the only one to throw with his left hand
Man, back in gen 6 and 7, we cant see the other trainer using the gimmick animation, but I'm glad they make it for gen 8 and 9
I ADORE Terastallization as a mechanic. Being able to change a Pokemon's type once per battle adds a huge layer of depth to your strategy.
Not only you can change type depending on what Tera crystal is. The attack match on Tera type can deal huge damage especially on hit on super effective moves
how to make gyms unique
step 1: find a good pokemon with the right moveset but different type then terrastalize
Or be like Larry and terrastalize a Normal-Flying type to a pure Normal type to make it weak against Fighting attacks...
Why not a Normal type that is 4 times weak to Fighting?

I like how the trainer that struggles the least with the recoil from the tera orb is _us_
The player character doesn’t struggle with the recoil AT ALL, but everyone else does.

Even though people have been pointing out that, some of this trainers dont struggle with the terra orb, but the one that catches my is Geeta since she dosent have to adjust anything and one of the few that dosent squint her eyes and theres a theory i have that she is a robot from the future this may be a little nod to it. OR she is just use to it😅

I don't get it, mega evolution was cool and all but very limited. The new ones are easier to use since they can be used by any pokemon. Seems like the community is crapping on the newer ones because they don't look as cool.

My favourite: Ryme's (I feel the same from Oleana's angry expression)
Left-handed: Hassel
Holding the ball on hand: Geeta
Holding the ball on two hands: Tyme
Unaffected by wind blow: Player because they hold it to the sky
Nemona, who battles almost too much for her own good, is wearing a wrist brace - something that she might need, if she's straining her arm by holding the Tera Orb that often.
Probably the prettiest Pokemon gimmick, change my mind.

Larry is the only one not struggling with the Tera orb. This shows how he is the most powerful gym leader
Many trainers in Paldea terastallize to power up, but I use it differently. I terastallize to cover weaknesses.

Brassius with his tera grass sudowoodo
It was a great thought, because none of Rock's initial weaknesses are super effective against grass types, and Rock is super effective against 4 of the grass type's 5 weaknesses, and it's not RESISTED by the only one left out. Well, not to mention how good Sudowoodo will be this early in the game too.

How strong is the player trainer's wrist? Most trainer's hold the tera orb in front of them to brace for the energy recoil, but the player holds it above their head like it's nothing

For some of them the type switch up is purely thematic, like Ryme's Toxtricity. She's a rapper, Toxtricity is a musical pokemon. For others, it's to throw you off, because while terrastalized the pokemon still retains their normal STAB attacks. So Brassius's Sudowoodo may be Grass type now, but it still has STAB Rock Throw in it's back pocket if you were using a Flying type against him. Same thing with Larry's Staraptor. STAB Flying moves at the ready to deal with your Fighting mons that were sweeping him previously lol.
@@smward87actually Ghost terastal Toxtricity is actually pretty good considering that means it loses its weaknesses to Psychic and Ground types and its got coverages for ghost type weaknesses.

Kinda like Brassius's Sudowoodo, aka _Truleewoodo_ , resembles trees and Kofu's Crabominable resembles fine seafood cuisine, since crabs are common seafood dishes.
I have no idea what Iono's Mismagius means for her type or perhaps her design tho, maybe Larry's too.
Actually Iono's a really clever use of Terastalizing. Since the only weakness to electrict type are ground moves, you should use and WOOPS! Mismagius has levitate, so it literally has no weaknesses!
And for Larry...dunno. Maybe cuz there's plenty of flying
and normal pokémon.

Larry's Staraptor's selling point is its Tera STAB Facade. Facade, according to Larry, is a skill every salaryman must learn.
Both Iono and Mismagius are shown to be rather mischievous, so there’s that.
Katy's Teddiursa/Ursaring: bears like honey, and she's a baker (plus it might be a pun on "bugbear")
Brassius's Sudowoodo: art (Brassius is a sculptor, while Sudowoodo is imitating a tree while standing still: a living sculpture)
Iono's Mismagius: looks/magical girl trope (?)
Kofu's Crabominable: sea food
Larry's Staraptor: Normal/Flying is the most common type combination in canon Pokemon, which suits the "average/common man" personality of Larry
Ryme's Toxicrity: music - she's a rapper, and Toxicrity has the rock vibes
Tulip's Florges: allusion to beauty and elegance
Grusha's Altaria: Altaria's wings resemble snow, also might reflect Grusha's soft spot deep down his soul

@@marshalllee6376 her ace should be kingambit. Glimmora is literally a hazard setter and kingambit gets stronger the more pokemon in her party die. She also uses avalugg and Gogoat which should never be on a champion team ever. Her entire team is a mess
@@MisterManGav that doesn’t make sense since the ace has to be rock type since the E4 and champion have the same Tera type as the titans. Also, Glimmora has relations to Tera crystals according to the Pokédex so that makes it a more important pokemonn over kinggambit

Oh I love how they made Hassel left handed as 1/3 of artists are left handed!! While Brassius can represent all right handed artists

The best thing about this gimmick is that, regardless of their Tera type, every single Pokemon in the game has the chance to shine, no pun intended, and take full advantage of this new phenomenon. As much as I love Mega Evolution and Gigantamax, it was exclusive to only some Pokemon (especially Charizard 😑), so you were somewhat restricted if you wanted to build your own team and enjoy the generational gimmick.
most replayed being at 4:50 is so expected (i skipped there as well)
I love how the less experienced trainers actually struggle to withstand the power of tterastalizing, but the more experienced trainers aren't as phased by it.
Really makes me wish that the player character actually struggled to maintain the power, but become more confident with it as the game progressed.
I wonder what it is that makes the force of the Tera so strong. Like, its strong enough to physically move the trainer even ruffle their clothes, what exactly is it taking in?

I really dislike the fact the protagonist doesn't struggle at all to wield the tera orb ;-; it would just feel a bit better if there was a BIT.

Yeah, only one important NPC use Poison Tera - Nurse Miriam who actually can be encountered as random opponent in Academy Ace Tournament. I don't know why she's not in the video.....

the crowns are awkward but I think they're so it's easy to recognize, I imagine this wouldn't be very good for colorblind people

Nemona's and Clavell's animations are exactly the same in both versions.
Sada and Turo, as of right now, aren't seen Terastarizating Pokemon anywhere, anytime.

Katy (0:45): Holds onto her hat to keep it being blown away
Brassius (1:08): Pretty much no reaction whatsoever
Iono (1:31): Blown away, but still manages to look cute and pose for the camera
Kofu (1:55): Laughs, reminds me a bit of Wattson
Larry (2:19): Adjusts tie
Rhyme (2:40): Eyes go white and looks at the Tera Ball like it just killed her family
Grusha (3:02): A bit blown away, has to hold onto their scarf/pull it back up
Tulip (3:25): A bit taken aback, but manages to look pretty and pose a bit )
-Clive- Clavell (3:48): Flinches a bit, pushes glasses up (also the fact the students in the background aren't reacting at all makes me think this is a normal thing Clavell does on the daily lol)
Penny (4:11): Struggles hard with the Tera Ball, has to hold onto her arm to stop herself being blown away, probably hasn't battled in a long long time, let alone Terastlize
Arven (4:33): Apparently holding the Tera Ball the wrong way, struggles pretty much the same as Penny, also probably due to not Terastlizing very reccently, (his hair also gets blown out of the way of his eye here)
Rika (4:56 also the most replayed apparently): Looks at the Tera Ball sternly and flips her hair out the way
Poppy (5:18): A bit blown away, but manages to pose/smile. I'm surprised she wasn't blown away more because of how tiny she is. Like I get she's an E4 member, but grown ass adults struggle with this thing more than her
Larry, again (5:40): The same as last time, move along now
Hassel (6:03): Turns head away for a moment, but ends up smirking at the end
Geeta (6:25): Pretty much no reaction, like Brassius, but less stern-looking
That's all I'll do for now since I've just beaten The Way Home and I don't want to comment on the ones I haven't seen yet

my problem with this is i have pokemon that have tera for typing they cant even use like poison/ground with a eclectic tera seemed cool at 1st but now i have seen what moves and tm it can learn its a waste of a tera slot. the game could of been amazing but they all ways go overboard with nonsense
Just teach them Tera Blast and they can use that typing
No because it then changes the Pokemons weaknesses. In that example all the Pokémon weakness it has due to being poison/ground would be reduced to a single weakness
Also you can just change the tera type later on
This gimmick is actually pretty good for defense.
Like turning Frosmoth into a Water, Grass, Ground Fire, or Steel type to remove its ×4 weakness to Fire or/and Rock type attacks.
You can even go so far to turn weaknesses into immunities.
@@marshalllee6376 It can even be turned into a resistance by becoming a Grass type or even an immunity by becoming a Flying type.
Plus, Tera Blast is always going to be a reliable STAB option.
