If I may take just a moment of your time to say thank you for your military service, your on-site on not just heavy equipment but on your personal views. As a law enforcement officer I can not say what I want as it is against the rules and will get me fired. Knowing there is someone like you out there able to speak his mind makes me feel good Keep up the videos and my the good lord bless you and your family with the power to conquer all evil and obstacles that lie in front of you Mike Y St Louis
While nothing compared to what you deal with I have rebuilt the engine on my old B model John Deere tractor. You have been a tremendous help. I used some of the methods of assembly I have watched you use. Ex torqueing and marking fasteners, installing piston rings etc... While only a two cylinder methods are the same. I had to deal with repoured (by Harts Machine in Ohio) babbited mains and rods using shims but that was no problem. I am now starting on the transmission. I need to replace some bearings. After seeing you tear into transmissions that should be no problem either. Thanks for making videos. It sure helps a layman such as myself understand how things come apart and go back together. While I have decent mechanical capabilities your videos are a big help. Thanks again...
Haven’t watched past 5:17 but I am comfortable saying this early in the game, whoever the young person is that will shortly be working with and learning from you that they are in for the experience of a career/lifetime. For several years I have been an avid consumer of your wisdom and work ethic. One must be both wise and humble to be honest and successful: you are present on both fronts. And forcefully so. I enjoy learning from you, a young 70 I am, but the depth and width of your expertise have captivated my attention like things would years ago when my mind was not restricted as it seems to be now. I owe you a debt of gratitude for that gift. Back to the rest of the show!
Sunday for me just rebult 2jz Toyota in lexus l 300 very good motor then I find you had put video up so had a good afternoon watching that and a beer good stuff
Great video, great cocktail, great dogs, great family! Doesn't get any better. Warren, when the goings on piss me off, I watch your videos, and it puts me back in line lol Thanks
I'd be scared to death to scratch that crank shaft journal with my screwdriver as there's nothing simple that I can't screw up. Love watching you brother.
Love seeing your dogs.i am a dog guy all the way I bet she was drinking it.but if you leave a drink where they can try it just like a kid the dogs will luck a big up and taste it.
Cat makes a tool special tool to roll bearings in/out. Has a pin for the oil hole and a little flat bar pinned to it so it will hinge to match the angle of the oil holes (straight or angled). Works good.
Great video, you seemed pretty relaxed whether it’s the job or the weather, good to see. I’m miserable as hell through the winter, and soon as the sun comes out I’m a new man with all the energy in the world. That’s some amazing scenery round your way, looked lovely with the sunsetting and the dogs playing. Hope you enjoyed your wife with your better three quarters 😀.
Hi Warren 😃 nice video, and the doggies at the end while you drank a sundowner were just great, that cat sounds an interesting job, stay safe mate, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart.uk.
I use a similar way to push out bearings. I use a cotter key with the legs folded out into a "T" and the loop end in the oil hole. It's what they say, what ever works best for you!
Those Paccar's just seem like a "complicated" engine. Now, that's a new trick, learn something new every time I watch your videos. Where's Duke been? Great video as always, cheers :)
if you make a "T" out of aluminum welding filler wire and put it in the crankshaft oil hole, when you spin the crankshaft it will roll the bearing right out, the aluminum is soft and not likely to scratch the crank.
I went back and started watching some older videos, and you were working on an old worn out case 680b backhoe. Did ever go ask about the CAT 9u you saw on the way there?
Always was trained to tighten journal mains and rods with an torque wrench 🔧 in a static smooth pull as you torque the caps down........am I wrong in thinking using an impact wrench with an dynamic action, puts stress on journal bearings? Just asking, not in any way critiquing Warren’s work, I completely understand why he did what he did.....

Thank you, and yes there are plenty of evil obstacles facing us these days, keep safe out there with all the craziness that's going on.
The variety of Machinery that you work on Warren you are one knowledgeable mechanic
Glad to see you enjoy a drink and relax. Thanks for the videos
Great to see you relaxing with the dogs and enjoying a refreshing drink after a weeks work. Keep it up.
I'm gonna remember the trick with the screw to roll those bearings out! They can be a pain.
Thanks for another video Warren. Take care.

You bet, take care.
I'm thinking about buying a truck with a MX 13 in it and thought I should learn something about it and found you. You do good work bud,
I always enjoy seeing the dogs. They're good ones. I think you interrupted Daisy's nap though.
Well, there is nothing wrong with a cool refreshing drink to relax after a hard days work. Have a great weekend Warren, chill and put ya feet up.
When I was wrenching in the 70's we used a brass brake rivet in the hole to spin the bearing out. Brass won't scratch the steal.
Enjoyed that bit at the end with you and your crew!
That screw trick works pretty slick, Like learning tricks of the trade.
Wish I could take a vacation and follow you around for two weeks. I’d learn a ton and have a blast doing it. Thanks for the videos!
Thanks for all the time you put into making these videos

Thank you for the excellent videos. I'm glad we got to see your dogs 🐕❤
That's great little of tip for rolling bearings thank you for your knowledge
Nice seeing you relaxing.. a must do !!
That was very interesting how you change crank bearings. The dogs look to be having fun!
Appreciate the way you always take the time to do the job right Warren, a real craftsman! Good video! Boca Raton, Florida

Great video, great cocktail, great dogs, great family! Doesn't get any better. Warren, when the goings on piss me off, I watch your videos, and it puts me back in line lol Thanks
Hello Warren, Always A Pleasure Watching.
Warren, excellent video indeed! A remote Mic would make a better viewing experience. Loved the doggies
Looking good, Warren. The sunset, too.
Those dogs are eating very well!!
Hey Warren, thanks for the video, needing something to watch. Thank you.
Another great one! (Neat trick on getting journal bearing out). Love the ending of the video....thank you Warren.
Warren, those beautiful dogs sure do love you,. Thanks for making great educational videos.

Hi Warren 😃 nice video, and the doggies at the end while you drank a sundowner were just great, that cat sounds an interesting job, stay safe mate, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart.uk.
Love seeing the pups especially Daisy haven't seen her in a while.

Smart tip with the bearings, thank you. Nice that you can take it easy too 😉 👍
Seems like your dogies keep you sane with the stress level you must deal with
It's a excellent trick i use a nail to get them out then a split pin to roll them back in just a bit softer and pushes it level to the block
Thank you for the video, Warren.
Please check Daisy's paws- she's walking funny, like
a sliver between toes? Strap a cheap dash cam to Lulu!
Thanks for the video Warren you have a great weekend 😊
Thanks Phil.
From Alberta Canada we sure use your knowledge in the oilfield the only thing you net need is your long johns to keep you warm.lol
Great videos i always wait until beer drinking nights too watch
I always loosened the main caps alittle middle one last and that made rolling bearings in and out really easy
I don't like all the weight of the crank resting on the seals.
Hi Warren that’s just how I do my mains it’s a good way best wishes phill from England oh love your mini dachshund my mum used to breed enforcer work
Another great video Warren , thanks for sharing
Nice ending to the video and your work week...
Those are some rod cap bolts ! 😎👍
Right? Looks like something used to hold a bridge up!! Lok
Nice one getting there 👍👍👍👍enjoy your drink 👍👍👍
It's nice to see you relaxing with your pups I just got back from a taco bell run with my pup loki we wanted tacos
nice looking truck that cat
That’s amazing Warren
No rest for the wicked keep killing it

Warrens soft spot ....puppy dogs
Hey sir , love your channel way up here in Alberta Canada. Looking for some advice if you have a moment
enjoy that drink and relax
Good looking dogs
Looks like the same Okie method I have always used to roll bearings in and out.
👍👍
Enjoy! 👍🐶🐕🐕🐶
Do you ever use the button method for rolling mains?
What brand heavy duty truck scanners are you using for paccar?????
Never worked on one of those cat trucks yet. Gona be cool
good vid luv the dogs
Brilliant 😊😊
I’m wondering how the pacar engine runs.
What software do you use that tells you all the torque spec and own procedures?
hey friend, you have the torques of the bench and of the viela and of the plate that has screws of 18
Love the vids! Question, are you having issues getting issues parts out of Cummins?
Yes.
I went back and started watching some older videos, and you were working on an old worn out case 680b backhoe. Did ever go ask about the CAT 9u you saw on the way there?
When do you need to check the fit of the main bearings on the crankshaft (plastigage)?
Je bent echt een vakman Warren gr Dimi uit Belgium
Thanks Warren!
Super video!!!!
Is there a reason you don't break all of the main bolts loose first (just a tad - 1/18 turn or less) to make it easier to roll the shells out/in?
Don't like all the weight of the crank resting on the seals.

Boa noite um bom serviço meu amigo
Ain't nothin better for the inside a man than the outside of a horse or dog!
And an adult beverage (or two) doesn't hurt much either ;=)))
How expensive are Paccars to rebuild compared to Cat or Cummins?
Very expensive, the parts compared to other brand are quit a bit more.
the new cat truck is nice but everyone I've come across always has pre-pump problems and bad codes refer to the model before this one for the fix
Did you get that engine swap done that was in your home shop? Maybe I missed it.
"that hood just doesn't look right" Have another Crown and water it will look just fine.
Oh yeah, late night video.. for us east coast guys..lol
