#LG I wonder what implication scaling has on the performance of an Apple device such as a MacBook, since I learned that everything outside the native resolution of Apple monitors / displays requires the processor to re-calculate the scaling-resolution for every pixel. Have you noticed any impact on processor usage due to this issue? Thanks for showing tech that is worth while considering as a software engineer.

Andres I'd suggest you place the monitor at desk level rather than on table top. It'd much easier to work/watch content at eye level than having to raise your neck everytime to look at time at menu bar.
It's actually even too huge for eye level if placed on the desk not tilted (upper side back). I can assume ppl using it will have massive neck issues after some years
Seems like passive use would be best for the top section - keeping a stock screener up for instance
What if you had 3 of these side-by-side? How'd that setup work for coding/media/gaming?

One thing I've had trouble finding about this monitor - can you install it on a desk that you can't move away from the wall? What I mean is, can you remove the bottom plate (with the screw and rubber clamp) so that you can slide the rear of the stand between the desk and the wall? Or do you need to be able to install it from the back of the desk? My desk can't be moved without a massive amount of work, and the gap between the desk and the wall is only about an inch.

Awesome. I think that the monitors one could find just a few years ago are nothing compared to the models currently available on the market. However, sometimes I don't understand why many people add so many screens to the same setup. I've seen desktops with up to five screens in the same setup. Who needs so many monitors? I recently purchased a Protractor desk at Barcelona Designs to start upgrading my space, and will probably add a monitor like this. Thanks for the review.
Depends on what you're doing. Currently I have two monitors and I often feel like I'm maxing them out despite being a minimalist. There are times where I'm researching topics or monitoring weather where something like five screens seems pretty useful. Or sometimes things compound so I'll have weather monitoring, video editor, audio editor, word editor, discord, Google Earth, Lightroom, photoshop, Skyvector and God knows what else. The amount of alt+tabbing gets obnoxious sometimes.

Currently I am using LG 43 inch 4k display as my main, and two 27 inch Samsung above it for consoles. I am thinking about adding this one just in case. With that setup I will obviously work like 5 times faster no bull sht!

I'm certainly jealous and inspired to work harder. I am using a $200 - $240 computer monitor and feel it's underperforming for my Apple Air M1. I don't buy computer stuff often, but when I do, I try to buy the highest value for the money. But these crazy monitors are definitely in my wish list.
Since you posted this, have you bought another monitor? I am in a similar situation (I have a Macbook Pro M1 2020), and I don't want to invest in a bad one.

This monitor is way too small for office usage. I know I might sound crazy but consider a 21.5 inches monitor with 2560×1440 like a 27 inches monitor. It might sounds good to put 2 2.5K monitors together, but please think about it's 2 21.5 inches monitors, is it still interesting?

I am looking to grab 2 of these. I currently have a LG 4K 43" as my primary monitor and dual vertical LG 2K 32" as my secondary monitors. I use the verticals for code, and messaging apps. I want to grab 2 of these and replace my current vertical monitors, so these would flank my primary monitor.
Do you use any KVM switch?
@@MaxAlvesDev No need..I only use a M1 Mac Mini w/ my Primary monitor and left secondary (messaging and full page web browsing) monitor hooked up. Then my right secondary monitor (coding and web development) monitor is using a USB A 3.1 to Display Port adapter that goes up to 4K 60hertz and running DisplayLInk Manager on MacOS Monterey.
The downside to DisplayLink software is no support for any Blue Light filtering... f.lux, Nightshift or anything else will not work...

I’ve not seen an engineer use this horizontally as a dual screen set up. I’m dying to see this with my IDE taking up one full display with a long layout and the second monitor available in a long layout to be split in half vertically. Which should be room for slack or Spotify or a browser.
I am planning to use this landscape as a main screen. Yet to see a dual screen setup which doesn't strain my neck. I find 4k/32 a bit too wide, and dual 28" portrait (temporary setup) I end up not using the bottom 4".
