Things i learnt this episode, the pup is a messy drinker, Simon can turn his hand into a dog yet he has cat like reflexes, we hadn't seen Tom for ages. Time flew and all too soon the video had ended, waiting impatiently for the next.
I like the picture he came up with on the left with the super-bee style wing on the back.
Oh my gosh. When the bike started to tip off the bench my knees went weak and my heart jumped into my throat!
Loving this build series keep up the good work and Simon is so hilarious but also a highly skilled bike builder

Morning Tomboy_a_bit. Another very enjoyable vid to watch 👌. I still remember that feeling when I went out on my motorbike on my 16th birthday. Yipee or what! I got that same feeling when I went out on my new Super Metor for the first time. So I know how that young girl felt! It's that feeling that never really goes especially riding on a moterway or them empty twisty country roads. Must be something in a bikers DNA? The design drawings are excellent. Gulf livery has been done to death, which breaks my heart as it's a classic favourite. But OMFG the 2nd design is phenomenal!! Petronas turquoise and with the red seat pads it is totally Foggy Petronas FP1 inspired but badass individual with the details and black heavy graphics. Genius. That's blown me away. 🤩🤯😎 subframe in steel is perfect for repairability on a track bike IF it somehow bends. Looks girder strong but sexy lines. I'm bloody loving this build. And that black lab is perfect too.

@@MINTCUSTOM5 I hear ya, track days and show ponies are a contradiction. Seems to me that Apex IS gonna perform great on track WHILE making a big impact with it's design and styling. Only needs to be photogenic! A few old war wounds or rough edges won't matter in well taken pics and videos. The same battle scars just make it more edgy in the flesh. I foresee pics of this build doing the rounds on social media because it's totally individual. It's worthy of big attention and a closer look into it's story, surely that will make it valued as a show bike. Rattle cans and stickers to pull off the sharp design by your mate. A few runs and orange peel will add to the charm. It's purpose ain't pretty. 😎 But the result really is already.

Simon, I COMPLETELY got your Deja Vu about Deja Vu moment... These uncultured people around you can't comprehend how great minds work! Whenever that double Deja Vu thing happens, I feel like I am a half second away from being able to predict the future!! It's like listening to a song that you really like but only really know the chorus to by heart, so when it's playing on the radio, you ALMOST can sing along with the verse, but you're a millisecond behind.. That's how having Deja Vu about Deja Vu feels, TomBoy!

@@MINTCUSTOM5 I actually quite like it. Makes me think something is beyond our physical existence. Especially when current existence is miserable. It’s like when I wake up of the dream which is a next episode of the dream I had a few weeks back. Feels almost like I live two lives.
@@tomboyabit Whatever you believe in, the only thing I know for sure is that we're not just skin sacks full of bones and meat. I wonder if our consciousness goes on walkabout while we are dreaming, maybe seeing different possibilities and Deja Vu could be our subconscious tapping our waking mind on the shoulder because it knows what's next... like someone reading over your shoulder and they're a little faster reader than you... Who knows?

Thanks for the replys Legends!!! I bought this 'converted to track' 9 months ago. Spent alot of time figuring out how the harness has been modified and chasing shorts. Most of it found on track days and some additional damage from a crash...So far repaired the exhaust, new rearsets, 520 chain conversion, relocated the rectifier, undid the clutch switch mod, Ktech rds Internals, elka 3 way rear shock, r6 throttle tube. Now trying to fit L1 600 brembo's but need caliper spacers, remove the exhaust servo and all the cables then the last couple things translogic qhuickshifter and new brake master, not sure brembo or something else

nearly falling off, ah... know my car has 4 wheels, one did fall off picking up rocks for the driveway... could likely use the old wheel hub as a part for building a home built farm lath, the bearing was ratted for something like 9000 pounds so its good and solid. ambitious ideas... one place to another so quickly.
My poor lathe is a 1941 southbend still belt driven she knocks and bangs but I love it. Its not very accurate anymore but brilliant for what I use it for 😊
That was lucky. I thought you were gone off the bench. It's looking good and those 600's were ripper machines virtually indestructible. You are going to have a lot of fun on that.
What about styling it as a 950 Supersport replica in red? You could call it the "MINTCATI".

Don't listen to berty alter the bars how you want.. Tucked In is good and you bank to turn anyway.. 😊
Correct she has to be comfortable on the bike, but if you've ever ridden Cadwell Park then you would know you can't just bank turn a bike around there, it's a very physical circuit that requires the bike to be pulled. Just running the bars slightly wider really helps especially at Cadwell. 😊
