Part 7: BMW E39 530i Touring Driveline Restoration - Rear Subframe Bushing Install

Welcome to Episode 7 of a complete series covering the restoration of my E39 530i BMW Touring suspension and driveline. This week, we continue with the reinstallation of the rear subframe silent bushings and differential bushings in preparation for the subframe rebuild. This episode is the first part of the rear subframe rebuild and we have some more upcoming episodes dedicated to the subframe completion!
This series covers a complete front and rear axle restoration and rebushing of the entire driveline, which are just some of the main items covered in this series.
But with an attitude of "while you're in there", I replaced almost every item connected to the chassis! Stay tuned for all of the upcoming detailed episodes, which show all the successes, pitfalls and problem solving to finish and get the 5 Series road worthy once again (and as close to factory spec as possible!).

The subframe bushing tool I used is no longer available, but I am developing my own version and watch this space for an update on that! However I did find a different tool for you and I linked it below (but I cannot say whether it is any good)
