Sir after background can one add an objective? Also sir I am a big fan of yours I am also running one channel for patent agent examination but in hindi. 😊 Thank you for guiding us through your unique way of teaching.
Hey there, objective section is optional so no need to worry about that for the purpose of the exam writing. I am really grateful for your kind words and kudos to you for putting in efforts on your channel - I will surely check it out.
Very useful video. Everything explained so clearly and precisely in just 10 mins. Thank you Sir. One question Sir- Does our answer to the 30 marks question need to actually look like Form 2 ? Starting with this and all the following sections? FORM 2 THE PATENT ACT 1970 (39 of 1970) & The Patents Rules, 2003 PROVISIONAL/COMPLETE SPECIFICATION (See section 10 a n drule13)
Hello Karandeep - Yes, if you are able to remember this - please do so - also, this line right at the end of the form 2 page 1, "This following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is to be performed. "
All the videos are really very very helpful ..After this will go through the actual question videos provides by you..Thank you so much. Is there a restriction on the number of claims in an Indian patent application..Independent and dependent claims..or do we need to dot down from question itself not worrying about independent and dependent claims I came across some videos which says 20 claims are allowed in few countries Also you mentioned that the claims starts with ...iiv..the word was not clear..I/we?
"I/We Claim" is just a format to start the claims Section. When you see other videos, you will get the clarity. Regarding your question: there are no restrictions to the number of claims that you provide in a real patent application. In India, 10 claims are included in the basic filing charged. Beyond 10 claims you need to pay additional fee. For answering the question, write down as many claims as the question asks.
sir, it might sound a bit silly, but i wanted to ask that while attempting drafting during exam, do we have to give numerals to this sections as mentioned in Form 2: 1) Title 2) applicant 3) Preamble 4) Description or we can just give the subheading and start writing the sections?
You have drawings in the specification - each element in the drawing is numbered - So while referring to these elements in the complete specification - you should use the numbers of these elements along with the elements - such as computer 102, server 108....the format for using referral number in Abstract and claim --> computer (102), server (108).
When you writing the exam and attempting the entire specification drafting question, you can start with the format of Form 2. You may not worry about the page number formatting for the exam part. for signature, you usually provide the signature at the end of complete specification, before you start the claim sections. Patent Agent Name (Number..) Constituted Patent Agent for the Applicant.
Hi sir! C1 part is of 20 marks, and it is asked to draft title , abstract and claims! So is there a sequence to be followed here to write C1? Title, claims followed by a abstract ?
Sir sometimes the detailed description of invention is very huge and might consume more time Will it be okay if we choose to write only some portion of the detailed description of invention or will it result in deduction of marks?
Idea to understand the entire objective - talk about each constraint and show the section numbers and process - now whatever words or pages are required to do this is all right.

Hii Sir,
If examples are there in drafting questions then how to write those? As it is after detailed description or we have to make some changes?
Copy the content.
Sir pls explain is there any format for. Page numbering and name or signature.
When you writing the exam and attempting the entire specification drafting question, you can start with the format of Form 2. You may not worry about the page number formatting for the exam part.
for signature, you usually provide the signature at the end of complete specification, before you start the claim sections.
Patent Agent Name

Constituted Patent Agent for the Applicant.

Draft in the sequence they have asked - doesn't follow the patent application sequence.
Sir sometimes the detailed description of invention is very huge and might consume more time
Will it be okay if we choose to write only some portion of the detailed description of invention or will it result in deduction of marks?
Copy paste everything.
Okay sir 😀
How much content sufficient for C1 question because it's 20 marks and it's just max 1 page ans?
Idea to understand the entire objective - talk about each constraint and show the section numbers and process - now whatever words or pages are required to do this is all right.
Sir, object of invention is included or not
