Zyddie from the company said the mercenary class is just a loadout that you can start the game as. This is his comment from the Steam discussions: "The Xbox text explains this a lot better, it is a loadout, nothing more nothing less, it just lets you start looking as a samurai :)" - supposedly, you can get it later on through normal gameplay.
Isn't skyrim main campaign about 10 hours? I get what you mean though. Let's hope it's absolutlely packed with content. Considering the small development studio, I think the'll have a hard time filling the world.
Because the devs has been silent🤣 Seriously, there was a point where the people who followed the game since 2017 thought it got canceled because of how quiet they were
“The Mercenary is a class like all the others. No content was cut, you can still combine all skills and perks in game - including the Mercenary's. The only difference is that, if you pre-order, you get to start with them.” -THQ Nordic
When I saw the trailer for this (last year or the previous year), and at the end it said "Coming when we think it's good enough" or something almost like that, I expected it to be years away still. I was happy they had that philosophy since it probably means a well crafted and loved game, and long enough to satisfy (looking at certain other top tier games with a 5 hour play time)... And after watching this and some preview edition gameplay, I think we might finally have our Zelda on pc.
This game took all of the greatest aspects from all of the greatest games in gaming history. And threw it into one game. I can’t wait for this and I hope it takes everyone by surprise so the developers can keep doing crazy stuff like this
Or do research, you’ll quickly learn that for the past few years they’ve been hammering out bugs and glitches, and also they had the control of when they can release this game when they wanted to but cyberpunk had to meet a certain date
@@Tyreker I mean i could say the same for CP2077. No hate towards CDPR just extreme disappointment. I dont really care for the bugs and glitches in CP2077 since some of them can be funny like in Skyrim or FO4. What disappointed me about it is the overall gameplay in CP2077, The game advertised impactful decisions in the world when in reality it didnt do squat. Even the lifepath meant nothing in your overall playthrough, just different dialogue and different starting missions. The world doesnt even provide customization to the fullest, like an actual body modification shop, you would think a world full of cybernetics would allow you to modify how you look entirely, atleast a simple hair salon or something in the world, nothing, so much for character creation and roleplaying. Also, even if they were on a "certain date" they were fully aware that they couldve delayed it more, but their stupid decisions piled up on them with them wanting to make it for new consoles, instead of actually perfecting it on the current active consoles and delayed it how many times until the game got reduced to what it is on launch. A half baked game with less than a half of its intended features and bug filled mess. TLDR; Wait for actual gameplay to show of the game and not get pulled by the hype train.
@@Spaghetty ohhh yeah if it’s the story and all that your talking about then yeah no matter how much research you do will matter But cdpr couldn’t keep delaying the game because the higher ups wouldn’t keep letting them because of the contracts (Yknow the business side of things) But the rest yeah I agree on

It's multiplayer, right? Up to how many people though?
@@necrotic_taco8702 No multiplayer.
I think this game is going to be so fun and chill at the same time. I'm ready for a Zelda-type game world to get lost in for hours and hours.
Saaame. As long as Day 1 reviews don't reveal anything disastrous I'll be picking it up most likely by this time next month. Plus it has that 90s / early 2000s vibe that I'm so ready to enjoy for a change.
"Here's everything you need to know"
"Actually it's only 10 things"
"And we aren't talking about the classes"
Well, "need to know" is relative and they said they feel like its better for players to discover the classes during their playthrough
@@Sundji Except by doing that they end up only telling you information you would have already learned from the reveal videos and interviews.
I've been waiting for this game for so long and it just keeps looking better every time they update us about the game
I love the words that pop up during combat.
If this is all true this game is going to be great. The combat alone looks enjoyable enough to carry me through.
Let us all pray that this won’t be like cyberpunk…

I feel like you leave out the very important aspect about the mercenary which is you can naturally earn it in game as confirmed by the publisher, you just get the choice to start with it if you preorder, it’s not a content lock
You guys missinformed at the 1st (Nr. 10) already.
They confirmed several times that the pre-order bonus "Mercenary class" isn't a class locked behind apaywall or preorder. It is simply out of the box class. Which you can create any time on your own even without the pre-order bonus DLC. You just simply have to create your character yourself in this way. They just made it ready as a pre-made one. That's it
The mercenary class isn't just a preorder bonus. They confirmed you can unlock it in the game. It is just a preorder bonus to be able to start with it.
I thought they said it was either a pre order or available for purchase later
@@osmancardona3613 Exactly what you said.
It'll eventually be a paid unlock (optional, of course) but not immediately available unless you pre-ordered.
It won't be free.
Yeah exactly but some weird people still crying over this lol
@@Kuzgunrunner1 It never changes.
Instead of looking at the "brighter side" of things in today's gaming climate, where it's plagued by microtransactions, day 1 DLC/Season Passes, and where many pre-order items are system/retailer exclusives (when you'd be "screwed out of content" unless you bought 2 or 3 copies of the same game without ever having another opportunity to get those pre-order items ever again) they'd rather whine over a possible $9.99 add-on for a class that may or may not make any difference to the game.
You know, because whining and complaining makes everything better.
NO YOU CAN NOT UNLOCK THIS CLASS IN THE GAME
Sorry had to get your attention, the devs said you can get the weapons and abilities in the class by playing the game but they said the actual class it self will eventually become dlc (so $5-$10 for the class)

I kind of forgot this game was a thing, but this preview looks pretty fucking solid.
Even if Biomutant isn't getting a native PS5/XSX/S release the devs said that there would be enhancements. The latest trailer was 60fps. Even w/o native 4K initially I just want 60fps day 1.🤞

Im gonna make my character look like Daxter from "Jak and Daxter" franchise
I hope there's a way to do that with the creator!

This seems like a LOT of stuff to put into one game, hope they stick the landing. Looks cool
The Narrator sounds like a Game Master from a Table Top RPG, As a GM this definitely sounds both difficult and interesting.
Sooo Hyped! I can wait...I just need to keep telling my self I can wait and that it will come in due time, only 21 more days! Magic and the class systems seem pretty interesting and something tells me that Mounts and vehicles are going to be pretty important in this game. The character creation and the crafting I can tell are going to be a great deal of fun I can tell.
Extra info: the magics are obtainable as "psychic mutations", it seems that even the non magical class will be able to use them (obviously with less power and charge)
@@korimuzel5230 Thank you very much! I have the game pre ordered through the PlayStation store. I appreciate that information thank you very much. Between this, Sifu and Wukong Black Myth it's looking like a good year for King Fu games
But isn't Wukong Black Myth still years away? (Dunno of Sifu.)
@@theuone8828 And the game demos were just made to hire more people. That game is still years away and needs tons of performance optimization. I just hope Tencent or any Chinese govt. conglomerate takes over the game
Sifu is the one where your character ages right? Yeah that looked really intriguing. Wukong is really just a tech demo at this stage so we can't really take what was shown at face value even though it is stunning. This game though is shaping up to be an awesome experience.
@@simulify8726 yeah that’s my main worry about the wukong game, the performance optimisation for the consoles, I don’t know about you but I haven’t seen any game that good even have a trailer for the new gen and in my opinion it’s going really test the new consoles, so I won’t be surprised if the frame rate drops a lot and doesn’t run well

@@Tyreker Well don’t expect it to be released on PS4 and XOne lol, I think the new gen will be fine but it will always be years behind computers ... It’s inevitable .
Ive lookee forward to this for years... I really hope there is more than 20 hours of exploration...
One word, Ikrit. That's the first thing that comes to mind, and the first build theme I want to try when I get the game
(1:36) I agree, I don't really like this sort of thing either, but the mercenary class will be available as a DLC kinda thing later as well. It won't be permanently locked behind a pre-order bonus.
OMG I thought this game was never gonna release 😭😭 I’m so excited for this holy shit
Damn the crafting just sold me.
I've been waiting since day one for this!!! I cant wait!!!!!!!!!!
Your presentation of Tina Fey pleases me. This game has me excited for an original entry to RPGs since we're in a drought.
This game looks absolutely incredible! I love that it's a brand NEW IP that looks like it was delicately created to offer an amazingly awesome experience. We NEED more games like this! Props to THQNordic 🙂💜✌️
I have high hopes for this game. I really hope it’s good and lives up to my expectations
I really hope the NPCs have more to offer than most games nowadays.
I really hope this gets a new gen upgrade. Looks really cool!
It seems we will have a next gen update later this year, according to some declarations I've read some time ago
I’m curious if you can run melee and magic type stuff together. like using magic to add elements to your strikes. I’d like to explore and figure out if that’s possible
I can give you some info on that (I really want to spread this game, it DESERVES attention):
Have you seen that crafting menu? There are parts which are inherently elemental, like radioactive nails or tubes or or or...
If you put elemental parts on a weapon, it will be imbued
I saw a gameplay with a fire sword
Magic, which in this game is not actual magic but "psychokinesis", is unrelated to weapons and comes from specific mutations (mostly obtained in the old world structures, like abandoned laboratories)
Build. Agility. Focus on speed over damage. My first characters are always rogue like. After that tank see how much damage can be soaked up after that will be combos of various types.
If it gets character DLC where I can play as a turtle like creature instead of a mammal, I'll pick it up for sure aha

It seems there will be DLC for extra classes/races, later.
Up to now, there's only a sixth class included into the preorder, and it will be available later as a DLC too

dont , preorder is a cancer to games.
I have to agree with the other comment. If you buy digital their is almost no incentive to pre-order. Most games don't even let you download early
Do what you will but think about the consequences first. Trust no game anymore until you get reviews from trusted sources.

I remember getting a Game Informer for this like three years ago and so excited it's finally coming out
Zyddie from the company said the mercenary class is just a loadout that you can start the game as. This is his comment from the Steam discussions: "The Xbox text explains this a lot better, it is a loadout, nothing more nothing less, it just lets you start looking as a samurai :)" - supposedly, you can get it later on through normal gameplay.
Let's just see how diverse and interesting they made activities outside this 10 hour main campaign
Only 10 hours if you ignore all other content
Isn't skyrim main campaign about 10 hours? I get what you mean though. Let's hope it's absolutlely packed with content. Considering the small development studio, I think the'll have a hard time filling the world.

And instead of saying it was too ambitious and canceling it or shipping it out a hot mess, they took their time, asked for patience, perfected it and made it happen anyways. I can’t wait for this and I hope it takes everyone by surprise so the developers can keep doing crazy stuff like this
remember folks. Wait for reviews if youre on the fence, Dont get Cyberpunk'd
too late, already preordered. I will never learn my lesson!
@@Spaghetty ohhh yeah if it’s the story and all that your talking about then yeah no matter how much research you do will matter
But cdpr couldn’t keep delaying the game because the higher ups wouldn’t keep letting them because of the contracts (Yknow the business side of things)
But the rest yeah I agree on
