You could feel in both games why Nintendo took six years to create their Masterpiece and why it was - after so much playtesting, finetuning, love and care - one of the best games of all times. Fenyx is an ok game, but it doesn't have the quality of BotW. There is a good reason why it was mostly forgotten weeks after it's release. It's a shame, I was looking forward fo Fenyx Rising, but in the end, it was just not good enough. It was ok, but with BotW existing, that wasn't enough.
I know it's not a game but Oreo cookies are actually a copycat brand that stole the originals popularity by hiding their products and spending more on ad campaigns. It's pretty messed up.

Everyone always credits Killswitch for the cover mechanic but everyone always forgets Winback which came out years before Killswitch on the N64 and has the same cover system. I believe it was also ported to the PS2 as well.
Syphon Filter on ps1 came out before winback and it's cover features was near perfect. You could even peak out and snipe enemies. Ps2 games weren't as good though

Not here to defend Pokemon, but Palworld shares much more with Arceus than Scarlet & Violet. I think Arceus is a great game! Trust me, I was excited for Palworld, I wish listed it 3 years ago and played Craftopia for 100 hours before Palworld's announcement
Scarlet and Violet aren't that bad. I'm not saying Palworld is bad either, because I haven't played it much myself, but saying that Scarlet and Violet are bad is just wrong. The technical state is bad, yes, and the game isn't perfect. However, the story is some of Pokemon's finest, the controls are amazing, the DLC is REALLY good, and the new Pokemon designs are fantastic. @@lordmolag45000 The main problem is the value of a game like Ultra Sun/Moon which came out in 2017 is just so much greater than Sword/Shield or Scarlet/Violet. You could get every Pokemon up to that point in US/UM, like 807 different Pokemon. Now in Scarlet/Violet, I am pretty sure they're missing like 300 even with the DLC. So with Scarlet/Violet, compared to US/UM, we need to pay 2.5x the price for 70% of the Pokemon. I think that's the worst part for me. For a game series centered around "catching them all", we can't catch them all, even if we spend $100 and trade for many of them. Almost 300 are just straight up unavailable. I like it when the Pokemon games use a regional dex and then open up the national dex later, I think it's good to focus on a smaller dex for the story, but we should be able to catch them all imo without using a paid service like Pokemon Home. I have two 3DSs with Pokemon Bank, Pokemon Transporter, and every game Gen 1 - 7 so I am privileged in that regard, but not everyone is

The only significant loss Palworld took from the lawsuit is that the players can no longer do contextual interactions by throwing the pal spheres. We might be stuck on giving commands instead (which is better), but throwing is slightly cooler.

Just want to say before even seeing the list, I disagree that we would not have a game industry, BUT we would undeniably suffer from a games industry that lacks the motivation to do better. Copycats ARE automatically under supplied for making AAA games which, when popularity hits, makes the source content try harder.
At a point in time, i felt like the Saints Row series was the only GTA copycat that could give GTA a run for it's money but once 4 dropped and the remake, it slowly went back to GTA still having no competitors.
4 was a good game imo, it did have all the satire and humour, ppl just trash it cuz of the superpowers (which were vv fun), but the reboot is a godforsaken mess that i do not want to talk about

I thoroughly enjoyed palworld at the start of when I played. But my biggest issue is flying quickly trivialized exploration. But at the same time, exploring Palworld's world is not that exciting either once you've played to the point of getting the ability to fly... I'd see these awesome statues or weird cities/canyons and go there and all it'd have is really generic rinse repeat dungeons, or a chest somewhere. It needs more interesting reason to actually explore their eye catching monuments. I'm not sure what they could do based on their current items/systems, but as it stands a lot of these areas that excited me in the early hours like how Skyrim did, doesn't scratch that same itch. Granted I've not played in a very long time, but I have very little reason to be excited that they've changed up that part of the formulate with exploration. I hope they do though and realize there's still a LOT more to be added based on what they've teased in the start.
Palworld should just switch to some kind of tractor beam style mechanic for catching things and call it a day. They already have guns so you just craft better and better capture guns to up your chance of capture etc
5:26 i would argue that it *does* look like shit. The textures are AWFUL. By awful, i mean non freaking existent. Like, this is 2024, ps2 was 24 years ago. I know graphics dont make the game, and a good game can be made without them, but in this case, nintendo not competing on hardware is causing them to fall way behind. But was for whatever lucky coincidence in a sale on PSN for 5€. A steal basically, if you think I spent over 150 hours in this game. Also in the both games from Mimimi that followed it, namely "Desperados 3" - an actual sequel - and in 2023 "Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew" even refinded the gameplay mechanics even more. Albeit they also played basically 1:1 for the matter. But I digress.

Quick correction, there was no sprinting in the original CoD, It was added in the United Offensive expansion (CoD 2 didn’t have sprinting either).

SASRT is EASILY the best kart game out there.
Palworld is definitely the superior game. I haven't cared about a pokemon game in well over 20 years.
I remember trying to play Alone in the Dark 2, never got past the opening...It was terrible. Granted, at the time I was under 10 so puzzle solving wasn't exactly my thing in those days.

You know what? I just realized that the competitiveness between Sonic and Mario is kinda like Jay-Z and Nas haha let me explain..
Sonic is well known and respected by many, and even in the top 5 of a lot of people for his legacy, but has always tried to compete with Mario and most of the time fell short. As where Mario sticks to his roots and strengths, and for the most part stays in his lane and continues to be loved and respected. Though Mario and Sonic battled for the top spot at extreme levels, they would inevitable work together to make more money and continue to build their legacy. Mario is Nas. Nas is better. Definitely not better than breath of the wild, but immortals fenyx rising took a lot of things from botw and was an incredible and underrated game
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is imho even better than Mario Kart. And especially because it's available for PC.
