  • 2023 Nov 30, Thurs, 60°F -- Asakusa (浅草) is a district in Taitō, Tokyo which is easily reached via train from Ginza or Shinjuku. This metropolis was once an entertainment district during the Edo period, and continued on to date as a major tourist attraction. Its popularity is centered mainly around Senso-ji temple, Kaminarimon and Nakamise Dori. All others are considered as bonus attractions. This pretty much covered the day trip with what there is to see in Asakusa. The owl cafe at Oz is interesting to visit if you're only curious about Japan's trendy animal cafes.
