AUTUMN IN RIKUGI-EN GARDENS 六義園

2023 Nov 30, Thurs, 57°F -- Rikugi-en gardens (六義園) is one of the most beautiful landscaped gardens in Tokyo, Japan. This daimyo garden was designed based on Waka poetry, recreating 88 scenes of serene and peaceful landscapes in a leisure stroll circuit kaiyu-style (回遊式庭園). There are some good stories to tell/learn while you leisurely walk/enjoy the garden. Walk around and enjoy the pond at the center with small islands; climb the man-made hills and stroll the forested areas; cross the stone bridges, look down for colorful. carps swimming and look up to watch for birds flying and singing; sit/relax in any thatched wooden teahouses and breathe the beauty of nature all in ... Anywhere is a great Instagram phot-op. Best time to visit is during sakura and koto seasons. This video shows how lovely Rikugi-en shines on autumn.
