I am using OBS and logitech to stream my DJ mixes. I used before a old gopro (from 2015) and the quality of the video was much better than after buying this new camera. On my PC everything looks almost ok but during streaming (I am usuing restream) the video is blurred.... I am also using a green screen but to be honest I am suprised that my video is even worst after spending so much money on this weird camera ... : / maybe this camera cant focus because I am moving / dancing??

Thank you for this and your other videos on setting up the Brio. They are all excellent - clear, informative and well-paced. I've just acquired a Brio, having had a couple of 925e's, one of which has just failed. These videos have helped me get the Brio up and running very quickly. One thing I needed to do after installing the G-Hub software was restart the computer; once done, it recognised the Brio. Also, I think the latest version of OBS (currently 28.0.3 64 bit) has slightly revised menus, but nothing dramatically different. Once again, many thanks.

Still available at Lenovo as of Feb 5, 2021 today even though sale/ promotion has been discontinued. If you ask politely for waiver of sales promotion as to extend offer to you on Logitech BRIO via online chat sales representative. Pay $159.99 which is 20 percent off instead of $199.99. Lowest price found was on Amazon at $192. I am still surprise as this product was first released in 2017 or 3 years ago and commands original MSRP of $199.99 USD. Even on Logitech website store it is not discounted. Wonder when Logitech will release a newer webcam product that out performs this one as it has been over 3 years that is under the $200 mark. They have a top Professional Teleconferencing cam which cost close to $1,200 but a far stretch from my budget.

The logitech capture application has two inputs that allow you to set each to a different camera of which the selected input displays configuation information in a vertical section on the left.
In that section down the bottom there is an "advanced settings" toggle.
When "advanced settings" is enabled, the "horizontally flip source" and "vertically flip source" tickboxes are accessible.
I have not found the same settings in any of the other logitech brio software.
I can only suppose that perhaps the cameras remember these settings making them stick even when you use a different app?

Excellent video guidelines but I only plan on using for basic teleconferencing such as Skype or Zoom for college and possible to chat with friends around the world. I doubt I will to be doing any recording or streaming but you did present some key ideas on what to do. Thank you, Mr. Andy Wall. - not sure but have you created a simpler review on the Logitech BRIO 4k and the provided Logitech startup through its own website/ app program? What was the MSRP in 2017/2018 when BRIO was first marketed as now usually found at $199 USD. Lenovo did mark down for a sale price of $160 which is very reasonable. Unfortunately that promotion sale at Lenovo had finished at unknown date.

Thanks, this was very helpful. BTW, the only remaining problem for me is that I'm still getting flickering, even when specifically using a 60 or 50 anti-flicker mode. Any thoughts on what might be causing that?
60 is 60Hz = NTSC Video Framerate
50 is 50Hz = PAL Video Framerate
You select the Video format (NTSC/PAL) that is native to you.
It also lines up with the frequency of your mains power.
Continued waves/flickering in both frequencies suggest noisy power.
You could try the webcam on another computer or have your reseller test it for you on their equipment to see if the problem follows the camera.
Likewise you could have another brio webcam tested on your computer or have your reseller test your computer with a spare webcam if you take it in to their workshop.
If the problem is not reproducible at another location then it is an environental issue with where you have your computer set up be it electrical supply and/or RF interference related.
If the problem follows your camera then it is either the camera or the settings you are using with it, if the problem remains with your computer then further investigation of the computer is required.
I would also try with a different usb cable and make sure it does not exceed length limitations - inbuilt cable shielding could be allowing induction onto the data transmission from an interfering source.
If it is environmental, you may need a line filter and before going that far try removing any other equipment away from your web-cam, it's usb cable and perhaps the computer. If you cannot get rid of the noise then this could be indicative of a faulty earth connection which if is the case is a safety hazard as well and should be checked.
Thanks, Mbr-minix, that was very comprehensive and useful, in essence walking me through a checklist for breaking the problem down into its component parts.
What I've found, by experimenting, is that using fluorescent lighting increases the problem enormously, while using incandescents virtually eliminates it. So when I make YT videos for my channel now, I use incandescent lighting only.
Now there might be another way to deal with fluorescent frequencies themselves, subsequently, but this solution is for me the quickest and simplest.
@@scarletpimpernel230 I forgot about the lighting and yes fluorescent lighting that uses magnetic / inductive ballasts can cause the light flicker problem.
You could try electronic ballasts that operate at much higher frequencies however I personally have not had to try this.
Professional photography lighting gear can get expensive.
I have had positive results with domestic LED lighting - the ones with a ring of LEDs in them.
If you have access to any you could try recording under one and see how the camera reacts. It is possible to find a type in an appropriate enclosure/casing and have a couple wired up for use on a pedestal.

That's a good suggestion, and I've got some of those very lights, but given that I use actual backdrops for my vids, and that the incandescent bulb lighting with various shields and 'cones' can create all these different moods and levels without flickering, I'll experiment to see what I can get to work and what's practical.

Thanks! I do have a problem though, after following all instructions when selecting the device in the final step and select custom resolution 1920x1080, i see only a black screen, it doesnt show nothing from my cam. Any ideas what to do with that?

I've got some "noise" in my camera even after following all these steps and alot of other guides on youtube. The only factor I can think of that can be affecting this is the light in the room.. But I dont know for sure.
I've had it for a while love it, but now for some reason geforce shadow play totally fails to launch this camera ... i tried all advice from nvidia and youtubers, nothing works even after reinstalling everything on a freshly formatted drive.... i will download OBS studio although I'm a beginner
Awesome video tutorial, thank you. Question: when I follow these instructions to the T, I get a black screen when I enter the "Custom" drop down resolution 1920x1080. Any thoughts to correct this.? The highest resolution setting I can use without the camera going off is 800x448
Without a resolution set the software does not know what to do with the input data and defaults to doing nothing without a setting to direct the logic that processes the input data into a displayed video image.

I keep watching tutorials for this and I keep hitting the same wall. When adding my Logitech 1080p Pro Stream, the resolution drop-down menu caps out at 640x360. Can't type in the field either. I did all the set up you explained (awesome video by the way), but I still keep being stumped.

How do I manage 2 BRIO cams in Logitech G HUB? Only 1 cam is visible. Perhaps not supported? Terrific videos, by the way. Your production is inspiring.
Make sure there are no other applications that could have seized control of one of the webcams before launching G-HUB.
Make sure both cameras are properly connected via the USB cable and show up in windows device manager.
Try the suspect camera on another machine and see if the problem follows it.
Hey there - so i followed all steps and am using a brio 4k. Is there a reason why my video preview is showing as way lower quality than yours, despite all the settings being accurate? I've been consistently having trouble getting the video quality to where I want it, and im not sure why I can't get it to look as great as other folks in other videos. Anyone else having this issue?
Hi Awall. I have four Logitech Brio 4K webcamera's Bit I cant't use G Hub to edit the settings because It can only see one camera. Any solutions to that, because it would be nice to make the settings I G Hub so I could save these settings, so OBS don't reset my camera settings every day I start OBS. Any inputs to this issue?
I can’t figure out why my brio is just showing a gray screen on the g hub software. I’m not getting any recording. I’ve uninstalled everything, reinstalled all drivers, updated the software for g hub as well as drivers for the brio. I’ve switched different usb 3.0 ports to see if that was the issue but idk what else to do. I can’t manipulate the settings for the brio in the g hub and all I see is gray for the webcam. Any help would be appreciated. It just came in today.

hi, i need help. i have a brio stram Edotion w 4k 30 fps, but in 4k its just not working, even in ligitech capture. it takes like 7 sec for the brio the notice my hand is moving, its just almost like a bad picture mode. i did not have this issue on my older pc, but on my asus laptop gtx 1080 it just wont work or work anymore. full Hd mode works fine, but this camera is very sensetiv to colors and they came out complete wrong, i mean i have a purple rbg on my wall, but it gets blue or even gets white rings on the purple wall thats not there for my eyes or mobiel or dslr dont see, and its start flicker colors, even if i do all manually. i did try to change the usb to clean usb c to usb c and also thunderbolt usb c booth ends, it sdid help, but now my hand move in about 0-3 fps .
But for now the 4k lag?
